Aji sauce 😂👏 I was laughing the entire time! When she put all of it 🤦🏽♂️😂 lomo saltado is my favorite but yes you do need to eat it fresh made or it can get hard. Try to put lemon juice on your papa rellena, it taste a bit like an Peruvian empanada. Also, try the candies lol Turron de Dona pepa is bomb! This made me so hungry already lol
It's really impressive, for the effort alone. Even if she may not have gotten it fully right.

I work with a Peruvian who recommended Lomo Saltado. I found a Peruvian restaurant nearby and ordered it that night and it’s SOOOOO delicious when it’s fresh. My husband said it was one of the best new dishes he’s tried recently. We also tested out some of their desserts and they were also incredible

Peruvian food sounds so amazing! I haven't tried anything in this video except for ceviche, but it's one of my favorite dishes.

papa a la huancaina is actually delicious! maybe the one you guys ate wasn't prepared with good ingredients cause its hard to find them outside south america. we use a specific type of cheese and a specific type of chilli called Aji Amarillo. if you ever have the opportunity to eat it in Peru, I totally recommend it. also for the drinks the two most popular drinks in peru are inka cola, which is a yellow soda that is amaziiing and chicha morada that is kinda like a juice made of purple corn (and doesn't taste like corn at all btw) if you ever have the opportunity to try it I totally recommend it as well!
This was really exciting to see! My prior employment before the Pandemic was at a Peruvian restaurant. I like Peru's food so much - no wonder it's one of the culinary destinations of the world! 🙌👏❤

You should try cuban food! I recommend for appetizers croquetas and yucca rellena, for drinks Materva and Ironbeer, entrees you shouldn't miss are Ropa vieja, Arroz con pollo a la chorrera and Enchilado de camarón.... I would love to see you guys trying my country's food 😊

I loved seeing y'all try Peruvian, I've been lucky to have been eating those dishes my whole life! :) You've also definitely gotta try aji de gallina, it's a creamy shredded chicken dish over rice, and my favorite drink chicha morada!

Papa a la huancaina is the most amazing dish ever. I’ve tried many Peruvian restaurants in cali and nothing compares to what it actually tastes like from actual Peru. You’ll love it. Americans always fall in love with that “one Peruvian yellow sauce” 😂

Those look yummy! When I was in Cusco, Peru one of the restaurants we visited had lomo saltado where you could choose from traditional beef or non-traditional pork or chicken. Also the fries were short and rectangular-SO good! The marinade is everything, and so is the fresh tomato in the stir fry.

LOL I wish I was part of an eating group!! I usually just Google and see what restaurants are around me, deliverable or driving distance, and whichever has the best reviews! And then doing the research :)

when i visited Peru, our airbnb host kept trying to get me to try "chifa." i figured out later in the trip that "chifa" was their Chinese takeout (like "chow fun"). so funny to see the importation of cuisines across the world!

maybe afghan? it has an indian vibe to it. i tried a pumpkin dish at an afghan place here and it had never occurred to me to try pumpkin as a kind of curry but it was tasty (usually i think of it as pie or the fall soup au bon pain has). not seen a lot of middle eastern places that you've tried either, iraqi food was good when i had it there. perhaps israeli food would be easier to find there? not entirely sure how many of the -stans / middle eastern folks have restaurants in LA.

Peruvian Food is amazing (says me, a peruvian now living in the US)! You have to try it in Peru tho, it's hard to replicate in any other country tbh, and I've tried many many peruvian food places in the US, nothing compares to what I've had back home
