I recently made a vegetarian regular lasagna and I added chopped eggplant on one layer and yellow squash, bell peppers and fresh spinach on another layer. I was going to use a zucchini but it had go e bad in the fridge. I also made my own sauce with just onion, garlic, carrots and celery (and of course tomatoes). The ricotta mixture went between the layers so the top was flat and had shredded mozzarella and parmesan on top to get toasty in the oven.
It's not better,incredible,best,delicious, perfect, easy and not better than what others make. You have to respect others that put time into cooking food that is tasty and appealing.

Why does everyone on the net use jarred marinara sauce. It is so easy to make homemade marinara, and it tastes so much better. I literally die inside every time I see a jar of store bought marinara 😢sauce.
