I have one of these - it is AWESOME. Mine's a short box in original Red, now weathered to a nice patina that comes from beach salt spray and spilled highballs. And an honest-to-god 319,000 miles. 😎

Mines a 92 with the diesel before they went turbo. I will never get rid of it. Not rusted or bent up at all. Interiors not cracked or torn at all. She’s a survivor full on. Never gonna let her go. Funny you got that mx5 roadster and an obs. I run a s2000 roadster and a obs. Good stuff man.
These are such good good trucks. Even the predecessors. I had an 89 with a 302, and a buddy had a 92 with the 300. People griped about the transmissions, but mine was good at 284k, I guess. My buddy's was a 5 speed. Lots of room, lots of power, and honestly really good 4x4 considering the ratios. There's crack heads that sell these in Columbus and I sit here and think, if I lived there again, I'd have 1 and 4 parts trucks 😀 people throw away good trucks all the time.
I just bought a '89 351 just a few moments ago. Hoping to turn it into something like yours. It just wont turn right now. Your trunk looks and sounds amazing.
Love the truck buddy I got a single cab long bed also on 93 and I have a crew cab long bed it has a nice green white color to it it's a 73 and then my single cab was a F-150 but I swap a 73 F-350 in it
The gauges in these trucks like oil pressure are an idiot light with a needle so don't use that as a indication of true oil pressure, get yourself like a triple combo setup of oil, water and volts and stick it under the dash (I suggest electric as the little nylon lines the mechanical gauges have can blow and possibly cause a fire or cook your engine if you loose pressure, trans temp is very useful as well. 190K miles you can try stepping up to a 10W40 or something thicker if your oil pressure is lower then spec, usually anything lower the 10psi @ hot idle is low and then you should be considering a rebuild or at the bare min. bearings and an oil pump. Your trans (4R70W) make sure the maintenance is kept up and has a proper cooler if your in a hot state. Unless you have done head work and a camshaft, i doubt the truck is making 240ish HP, only the Gen 1L had 240hp with a 351W with GT40 heads and intake, your engine should be 195HP if its stock with the MAF and factory roller cam, however slap on a set of Gt40P heads, a good matched cam with roller rockers and up the stall on your torque converter and you'll see a good increase in power with the 4.10s. I'm doing up a 1990 shorty, they are getting popular, not square body chevy popular but they are getting noticed. Kudos on your build.
My 95 with 239k on t he stock bottom end runs just fine, got alot oh speed parts on it like a cam lots of head work headers 3-inch exhaust editor block up or lower and take manifold k&n cold air and 460 radiator just to start, also have a zf5 speed heavy duty clutch bump the timing up a bit I can't remember how many degrees but she goes down the road with no problem. Last I checked I was getting over 16 on the interstate at 70 mph. It ran a 17.2 in the 1/4 Mi burning through first and second gear with two full tanks of gas for added weight in a feeble hope of traction.it weighs 5700 lbs on dot certified scale.your oil pressure is just a bad sending unit, easy fix
wait is it an f-350? I've got a 1994 f-150 4x4 RCSB 5.0 5 speed and mine only weighs like 4000lbs the Gross weight it like 6250lbs. so if yours is 5700lbs itd have to be a 350 4x4 crew cab long bed and maybe dully cuz that a lot of extra weight. these old trucks didn't weight a lot especially compaired to the new trucks. a new half ton weighs like 6000lbs!
I have a 96 shortbed with a 300 auto and honestly I like it more than my 2015 f150. It's easier to work on and easier to drive. Plus it's way cheaper to own and insure.
Yo are those the wheels they have on custom offset I think I was looking at those they look pretty clean on there I think I might get them fory white 96
What’s done to the truck? I have 1996 f150 and wanna do something like this and maybe even throw a supercharger on it. Truck has over 200k miles but runs strong and will definitely need a rebuild
got a 351 Windsor in my 92 ford but it feels slow and it dont take off like yours in the 30-70 mph what would you recommend to upgrade to make it faster
Is yours a short wheel base truck? I have a recent video I made, where I show everything I did to knock off a full 1.5 seconds off the 0-60 time with simple modifications. th-cam.com/video/-OH0tbI_rC8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uucUoJfHt4R6mbve
Your oil sending switch is bad. The oil pressure gauge does not give true pressure. Its a glorified idiot light. The sender switch gives an on or off signal. You have to get the early style sender and modify the cluster by removing a resister on the printed circuit and then solder a wire in place of it. Thats what somebody told me when I bought my 94 4x4 F150 which I still am driving.
These are not underrated at all, they’re beloved by many & well known to be some of the best ever made. These kick the shit out of the GM & Chrysler trucks too.

That is the factory front bumper. Bullnose bumpers would look super weird on those trucks so it wouldn’t be hard to tell lol.
Good to know.
Love these trucks, I have a 92 4x4, long box, white and blue.
They’re good trucks. I’m currently daily driving a swb 1995 4.9 5 speed F150.
I love the whole setup. I have a 96 ford f150 also. Super super fun to drive
Thanks!
How do you plan on building it I recently bought my mom's old truck fromy brother in law and plan to build it up

Love my 95 f150 5.0 with 337,000 miles on original engine and transmission rear axle shafts were chaged but housing and gears are factory

I had it dynoed and it made 191 wheel & 250 FT lbs. I was surpised it made that much but then again 240 hp out a 302 is almost nothing lol.
I assume I have a dummy oil pressure Guage. reads the same cold or hot and never moves unless I turn it off.

Impossible!
Love my 1995 Flareside F150, it's on my channel, I did a full interior update on it.
I’ll have to check it out
I love my 96 F150 5.0 230k I drive it everywhere and wouldn't trade it for any other truck, no way
My daily is a 94 f150 with 33 mudders flowmasters lwb she's a beast only 181k
What exhaust
Makin me want one now. What is your 0-60 with the current setup?
About 7.5 with the decrepit transmission. With a rebuilt transmission(and a 2,800 stall that’s it my garage) it should be around high 6s or 7 flat.
@@CarGuyV8 Not bad for a stock 302. I'm hoping to see you do heads and cam in this thing one day and watch you run 13's in the 1/4 mile...
I’d love to. It would have to be after I get the 2nd Gen Camaro done though!

After a few years of rusting out, they don't weigh much.

The oil pressure is wrong. there ain’t nothing wrong with that transmission. The engine will still outlast your dodge
