Great video brother, I have a 1996 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 with 211,000 miles on it and still going strong, the only things I replaced on my truck was the starter, the rear fuel pump, and the power steering megunisum but other than that mostly was just simple maintenance, we took out the transmission fluid just to get rid of the shuttering it was making and it hasn't had a problem ever since.
I’ve got a 94 f150 4.9L and love it. I see these trucks everywhere and parts are plenteous. There’s too many pros to mention and can’t really think of a con. I’ve deleted all egr emissions and don’t have to worry about emissions inspections. I even went as far as removing my CEL light from the ICU. I’ve been a mechanic my entire life I don’t need to be bothered by a light telling me there’s a problem. I come from an era before CEL, you can feel when something’s not right, until that happens I’m driving!
That sounds like it might be worth a look. All of the engines for these are rock solid. Check to make sure it still has good coolant, because I’d imagine up there it gets very cold. Also see if he’d let you get it running in his yard just to verify everything.
I own a obs ford and the only cons i see is just regular stuff like interior cracking or rusting bed but that’s literally all old trucks, but it is the best 90s truck ive drove that feels good in every way
Found a 1994 xlt supercab long bed with the 5.8l. Only 106k original miles. Think it’s worth for 8k and for a daily? How’s the highway comfort with these?
Doesn’t sounds like a bad deal these days. I think they’re pretty comfortable on the highway, but you’ll probably have to be the judge of that when you test drive it.
I got a 94 straight 6 with 239,000. Its the truck I use to take my boat to the lake. My only con is that plastic piece on the passenger side of the dash I had to repair to get it to quit vibrating like crazy on dirt roads.

I bought a 96 lx 4.9 manual shift 4x4. Still driving it today. No cons. Doesn't hurt that it's been garage kept and taken care of it whole life.
My 95’ F150 with the 5.8L did not come with MAF. It was produced in May of 95 and I bought it in June.

96 trucks are OBD2, makes troubleshooting the now ancient sensors easier. As far as I know, these were the only OBS trucks that were.
What tire size are on that truck and the rims brand? I want them for my 79 ford
@@InGodwetrust7777 Pacer 297b 15x10 wheels. 295/50 in the rear. 255/60 in the front.
@ thanks 👍
Cons for me are if the previous owner abused it and if it’s from up north.
I’m Canadian and just bought a 96’… so that’s my 2 cents
Found a 1996 f150 4x4 for 6k (Canadian), 200’000 km and no body rust. Runs and drives but was sitting for 3 years. Is it worth taking a look at?
Oh the ad is back up to 8k

Ill save you some time, theres no cons. Anyone who disagrees is just wrong 🤣

@ thanks for the quick reply!
OBS F150’s are great!!
Odd that you said 4.9 instead of 300 C.I.D. Good video, I have a 92 Supercab 5.0 auto and a 96 F250 regular cab 7.3 auto
Odd that you said 5.0 instead of 302 C.I.D. lol thanks for watching
My 96 straight 6 with 320000.. that dog will hunt .!!

I LIKE IT WHEN THEY AHVE THE 4 SPEED ON THE FLOOR
What’s that got to do with The pros and cons of 90s ford trucks?
