I have this new straps and no idea how to set it up. So hard to find video on how to set up this new strap. I am so glad I find your video. Thank you so much for your help!
Eyeballing, aka putting the rings side by side and see if they match. Using your hands make this really simple (after some time you can get them level just by feeling on how much strap you need and how much you adjusted, minimum adjustment afterwards). You can always have "buckle" rings with measurements in the straps as well. These new ones wouldn't work great outside where you don't always have a parallel surface to hang these on, fine adjustments would be key. These criticisms aside all in all these seem really well made.
Thank you for this! This is literally the best video explaining how these rings work. After going through a bunch of them, I'm glad I ended up it in here!
Just run the extra around the bar, through the ring, back around the bar, etc until the slack is gone. At the end just clip the carabine through a slot like the first one. The additional loops stay loose, they don't support the ring.
Imagine if its an uneven bar like a tree branch . The cambuckle ones are hard to adjust but they are better and more prescise because of minor adjustments but the Carabiner ones are easier for a level bar only and you cant do minor adjustments with these like 2mm to 10mm even one inch depends on the size of the slots .i gues its better to have both in different situations .
I do have one question. I am having a hard time the strap really short so the rings will be on top of the pull for me to do pull up. Do you you fold up so many times inside?
I just bought these and it came with two foot straps, but I have no idea how those are utilized. It came with no instructions, and only a QR code to their web page with youtube exercise videos. Yet none of them show how the additional foot straps are used?
I thought this design would mean that you can't have the rings right up close to the bar, but the way to do that is to get the bar to go between the small loop that is around the ring. So there's just a single carabiner used in that case.
Where does the extra slack go then? The video shows the straps wrapped around the rings several times. I would think that would be time consuming and hinder the ability for the rings to twist.
@@Timpala44 - Yea from memory his method was to pass the strap through the rings a thousand times. Rather time-consuming to set up and to adjust. When just having 1 loop and excess strap, it would just be treated like you're using a regular strap with a cam (toss it out of the way in some fashion, though not everyone is bothered by the strap presence). If it's a bit more of a permanent set-up, then one can roll/fold the straps up and then secure it with a rubber band in the middle of the roll-fold. When the rings up real close to the bar, the ring twistability is hindered either way, but yea less strap passed through is at least better in this regard for sure.
I think your video on the rachet straps might work better for me. The rachet straps allow for graduations while these have fixed segments. When hanging my rings from tree branches I may need the flexibility to micro adjust.
These caribiner straps are a must. My rings came with ratchets, only need one if hanging from a free or uneven bar. Just match it to the caribiner strap.
The barbell sleeve can slide through the holes by moving it back and forth but it won’t go past the sleeve so you won’t be able to get it to the shaft through a hole. But you can always wrap it around the shaft and clip the carabiner to a loop.
You might have to buy a second set of straps. The company that sells the rings in the video also sells straps separately. Check out the link in the description.
These look great. Curious as to how you set them up high for pull ups without any straps hanging though. I couldn’t quite make it out in the video clip.
@@ShreddedDad Thank you for your reply. Honestly with those straps I will probably not have an issue placing and removing them in a hurry. Do you only do this stuff for your upper body or do you use weights and machines also?
thanks for the review, how does the system work though if want the rings really high for pull-ups, do the carabiners get in the way and where does the excess strap go?
The carabiners and straps don’t get in the way. Just keep threading the straps through the rings and over the pull up bar until it’s at the length you want
And offcorse they get in the way even the cambuckle ones once you got higher then a certain hight the rings can't touch the bar there should always be some space for suspension and the protection of carabiner or cambuckle
For my ceiling hanger, the rungs don’t have very much space for the carabiner on the ring straps to go through it. So I have soft tie loops going through the rungs, then the ring straps go through those tie loops.
I bought the Double Circle straps, and I don't like them. First, getting the level even between straps with cam buckles really isn't a problem. The Double Circle straps don't work well because 1) they are very difficult to use with unlevel supports and are almost impossible to get even, and 2) they can't be adjusted between very low and very high positions. The vertical adjustment range is only about 4 feet, and that is far too limiting. I ended up ordering good-quality cam buckle straps and am very happy with them. The DC straps just don't work well, and I suggest that they be avoided.
I have GHB rings with a carabiner that has a screw that needs to be tightened with a small allen wrench. As far as I can see, there is no reason to have to tighten a screw every time I adjust the straps. It does not look like the strap would pop out of the carabiner. Does anyone else have this type of rig? What experience have you had - do you tighten the screw in the carabiner every time you adjust the straps?

It is very unlikely that the carabiners would accidentally open. I never used the lock screws and there was never a problem. But I switched to cam buckle straps because they just work better.
In your video, you show the straps wrapped around the rings several times when they are set up high towards the bar. I would think that would be way more time consuming and hinder the ability for the rings to swivel. Is there a way to do it without doing that and having extra slack from the straps dangling?
You are absolutely right! Imagine if the horizontal support is quite high. You would have to get a step ladder to adjust the height correctly. Cam-buckle straps are much easier to adjust.
Just found your channel, I saw the auto strap ratchet video first and was going to buy those then I saw this video. These look much more lightweight so I'm leaning towards these. Thanks for the tips! Just wondering how are they holding up? I saw a review saying the carabiners bend overtime. Have you experienced this?
Beware of the carabiners with set screws. Without the little hold screws those carabiners are dangerous. Not sure if the ones in the video are the same style I have purchased on Amazon. They are not quick by any means

At first I was super mad that I was dumb and bought 7ft straps with my rep fitness rings. But I ordered these last night and I'm actually glad I goofed the first time. Extra strap kills my ocd. Lmao
Interesting, simple design. But remember you're using twice as much strap material with this design. But on the plus side the carabiner is much lighter than a buckle. I'd say the best design for most, as often your support isn't exactly horizontal requiring slight adjustment to get even, is simply to use a wider strap/buckle (1.5" to 2"). A 1" is prone to slipping, especially if you're over about 150 lbs. What would be interesting though is not to use a buckle relying on a spring. Rather something like a quick release lever like is used to hold a bike wheel on the frame. I've never seen this used though. And to be able to disassemble it if you want to give the teeth a bit of sharpening because they will smooth out over time.
Length of strap is *_shorter._* It's a much faster user friendly design but requires better quality control to ensure the sleeves/pockets are uniform - complaints on Amazon about uneven lengths which makes product useless.
@@alrocky Its hard to use a carabiner design outside as rarely is your support absolutely horizontal. Also its good to use uneven lengths sometimes and only with a buckle or knot can you get that exact. Really the buckle is the way to go. Then you can dial in the exact length you want. Then have the straps marked for easier reference. A carabiner design requires 2 straps stitched together. Twice as much strap material needed. Plus all that stitching. Its really just for indoor use.
@@FreshAirRules Agree that carabiner problematic for outside and it's selling point is ease of use but worthless *_if_* quality control is not spot on. Well reasoned post. Happy New Year!
Such videos are very misleading. You are not identifying the downsides of these straps, and people, without practical knowledge, buy them and then stumble into problems. For example, they can't use branches, unless it's perfectly even. Secondly, you cannot lift your rings above your head, as high as possible (for pullups). You can make equal heights with buckle cams as easy as with these ones. Imbalance in muscle is nonsense, as it's impossible to miss adjust equally the same every single time. Your stance makes more imbalance then micro height difference. Your goal should be to educate, not to advertise.
What about a comparison between the retractable straps you presented in your straps hack: th-cam.com/video/NWor1A_j5ZQ/w-d-xo.html Do you prefer either one of the two? Btw thank you very much for your helpful content!
Hey Patrik, the carabiner straps are still more accurate. The retractable straps are fast and take up very little room but you still have to play around with them a bit to get them lined up exactly the same. Both work but if I had to pick one, I'd go with the carabiner straps because I know for sure both sides will be even all the time.
@@ShreddedDad It all depends on if you're packing them around walking or on a bike (so weight/size is an issue) and if the horizontal support you're using is even. Many are not exactly even. I use soccer goal posts and they are often a bit off over time. The heavy ones probably settle into the ground over several years/decades. I use 17' straps and often find them too short for doing pushups/flies close to the ground if my support is a little higher than say a soccer goal post. But even then 17' is barely long enough yet most sold today are using 15' straps. Also remember that if your horizontal support is large its going to take up a lot more strap length going over it. One place that is often good for hanging rings that few people would think of is under small bridges which often have a metal framework. Often the ground gradually slopes away from the bridge so you can pick the best support height as well. Good for muscleups if you don't want to smash your head into a beam. Also there's no rain/snow under a bridge. Handy in lousy weather. The downside is vehicle exhaust but wind usually disperses it well. I wouldn't use it during rush hour if the vehicles above you are bumper to bumper.

Actually uses LESS strap material.
How does their 3 year warranty work??
You’ll have to contact the company for that. I don’t know the answer to that question
This are not good is like me I hang my straps off a tree branch. This are good only for indoor or metal bar.
What about a comparison between the retractable straps you presented in your straps hack: th-cam.com/video/NWor1A_j5ZQ/w-d-xo.html
Do you prefer either one of the two?
Btw thank you very much for your helpful content!
Hey Patrik, the carabiner straps are still more accurate.
The retractable straps are fast and take up very little room but you still have to play around with them a bit to get them lined up exactly the same.
Both work but if I had to pick one, I'd go with the carabiner straps because I know for sure both sides will be even all the time.
@@ShreddedDad Thanks alot for the fast and elaborate answer! Due to your help I will buy then one of the carabiner straps.
You’re welcome 👊.

The worst because Of the tiny screw and allen wrench are tedious
I’ve never even used those screws and Allen wrench. Just use the carabiner like a regular carabiner
