this lyricstuck fucks me up crazy style in the best way. it's beautifully done, the song is haunting and fitting, and it truly makes me feel like im 12 years old and still experiencing the homestuck fandom in it's heyday. i cant help but come back to this everytime it comes back up in my recommended.

It's gonn be ond of my favorites from now on
Whenever it says "But I'm forever missing him" and it shows the reader. It reminded me of when you were a reader for Homestuck and that you as the reader also had been there for their story. I don't know why it impacted my heart so much, but that image with the lyrics. I may be looking to far into it, but it really seemed like there was a deeper meaning.

oh my god oh my god oh my god youth daughter is one of the songs that makes me cry instantly bc of past experiences with that song and the art is so beautiful i’m actually crying so hard this moved me
Fun fact - an edit by pyrotechnicstars on that same song is what brought me back to reading the comic after I'd first dropped it for lack of time. For me, this song is forever linked with Homestuck and my entry into this wonderful fandom. The fact that you used this to pay tribute to Hiveswap makes me emotional already. :')
And then there's everything else. As others already pointed out, your storyboarding are colouring are worthy of a professional short film. I personally really liked the variety of angles and perspectives you used. That, coupled with the slow timing and emphasis on faces and glances, really has an impact, feelings-wise.
I love that you gave everybody time to shine, and the way you've interpreted some scenes or expanded on things the games alluded to. I kept listing in my head passages I particularly liked, but scratch that, because everything is just so well done and there're just too many gut-wrenching moments and clever details to mention. Still, I'm very fond of Cirava's part, it hit pretty hard - and Lanque's is a great shot and summarizes everything so perfectly.
(... And congratulations for making me feel sorry for Ardata more efficiently than the game ever could. Good grief.)

Is this actually your first one??? This is such amazing art, such amazing storyboarding, I've watched this over 20 times by now and, just, wow. The perspectives, the lighting, absolutely everything about this amazing. I cried the first time I saw it, and just. Wow.
My feels are immeasurable. I love all the hiveswap trolls, even zebruh was a great character (even if I'd hate him as a person) and this really made their alternia feel really put together. Intertwined as it should be. Thank you so much.
I'm just coming by to let you know that I am watching this again and, embarrassingly, actually crying. The moments get me actually crying, just, consistently: Chixie, Skylla, Daraya, but I know it's a buildup over the whole song. Tyzias, Stelsa, and Galekh always give me this really still, Important feeling in my chest. Vikare is.... my boy.

ok so, nearly died watching it the first time but now that i rewatched i can gather my thoughts and comment like a civilised human being:
first of all, your art style is absolutely GORGEOUS and i love the way you drew every character differently and kind of just made them all so unique and beautiful and just HNGNNN, along with that the background trolls were also so well designed??? like whenever i make trolls they have one (1) type of horns but you went all out and just ajfdakgfh gorgeous
second, i never realised how well youth went with the trolls but I LOVED IT! they all had their individual segments and the lyrics fit them absolutely perfectly, plus the transitions from troll to troll were just so beautiful and i nearly died im-

I miss it. I miss my childhood of sitting at the computer and playing Homestuck. I miss reading fics when I was supposed to be sleeping, and calling my best friend Moirail. I miss shippings, quadrants, playing that silly flash game mid comic during school of all places. I miss the memories I made of fantasizing myself as a player. I miss making a home for myself in Karkat's hive on his wriggling day when I had no other home to go to. Things are moving on, and I'm not ready. Hiveswap, Homestuck 2. I haven't played either, but I never expected them, and they're pushing barriers I thought I settled with Homestuck. I thought it was ended and I made peace with that pain. I was there when it ended and I sobbed. I genuinely sobbed. I got cosplay, I made fanart, I copied their typing quirks because it felt safe and like I was one of them. I had nothing else but Homestuck. This video reminds me of the time where things weren't so complicated in my life and all I had to do was pull up my browser and read. Coming back into this fandom is like slinking into a chair after winning a marathon; relief and happiness. Homestuck brings out a vast array of emotions in me. Anger, hatred, heartbrokenness, love, pride, determination to name a few. It's changed me. I'll never stop loving it, or the art, or the products. Just tonight I remade an old oc from 2018. This video, I keep coming back to it. I can't not watch it and love everything about it. I rambled a bit, sorry.
Tldr; I love Homestuck and I love this, thank you. ❤️

this may have been made in 2019, but I want to know I appreciate that you've made heart-touching Friendsim content, especially after having gone through Act 2. I'm never gonna let the new stuff damage my love for the characters that I knew, and this kind of thing really helps with that.

I'm nearly crying of joy, the song is so pretty, the art style and the drawings are awesome, so detailed, and the fact that we see each and every troll warms my heart so much ! (The duality of Lanque omg and the interaction of Marsti with Kuprum and Folykl, Azdaja with Konyyl, EVERYTHING is absolutely perfect and flawless ! )
I love that video so much (the only downside is Doc Scratch at the end but that's a personal opinion ofc haha ^-^), I mean it, I feel like it touches me on a deep level of my soul, seriously. I'm so glad I've found out that video. Did you draw all the fanarts on the video ? Can we follow you on Deviantart or something ?

this is so beautiful and wonderfully done. the art, the music, the way you incorporated all of the different characters... I'm so glad that the homestuck/hiveswap community is still active and making amazing things. Incredible work!!
The art in this one, there's so much detail and emotion that goes on to this one. The song choice was amazing and the execution of this song was so immaculate and beautiful, Your artstyle was all cleaned up and very beautiful, the backgrounds were beautiful. it pleased my eyes and made me feel better, it was like getting fresh air. and the end with Doc scratch, they hit me harder than it already did, this has been one of my favorite Lyricswap videos ever, You gained a subscriber from me

I saw Doc Scratch snap his fingers at the end and for some reason the first thing I thought of was Thanos.
Oh well, half the Hiveswap cast just disintegrated.
God, okay, so, some of the things I love about this:
- 'if you're still breathing, you're the lucky ones' set just after Folykl, indirectly but not directly juxtaposed, the subtlety and unspokenness makes my heart hurt
- Chixie's expression as she's backing away from Zebruh at 1:05, it just says so much
- 'one day we'll reveal the truth' on Tyzias holding the sufferer pendant, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
- the composition of Daraya at 2:11, that image just hits so fucking hard
- aaaaaaa i just noticed you did the same thing again with the second chorus, where the scene before (with Konyyl/Azdaja's sad unrequited quadrant situation) sets up the 'you're the lucky ones' line -- sidenote I'm just in fucking love with the fact that Konyyl in the background is nearly the same image as Konyyl in the foreground a second ago, but her smile is gone
- Lynera as the choice for 'if you're in love, you are the lucky one' is just so impactful
- The panel with Vikare 'setting fire to our insides', look I don't even normally care about Vikare much at all but somehow that single image is so hopeful and tragic and stirring
