Marvus didn't need to invite Joey to the purple car, he could have warned her not to come. But he didn't. Why he did what he did is still unclear though.

you have to do zebruhs thing at the train station to get his tickets if you get both his and chixies you lose xefros' mic but you get to keep the pogs which are useful in the trial

If you give gor gor the pogs and the batteries you get some special evidence, then on the last part of the trial you can make a case against Lanque which leads to a special game over sequence (before you start the final part, talk to Tyzias and pick the right option that you unlocked, pick the right evidence against Lanque and them go talk to him)
i do gotta say the clown car cutscenes were the best everything so far was relatively light hearted and while there was some darkness it was just "hey we need to get to the front of the train we will help you with your book problems or art stuff or whatever the fuck" and then just the clown car the stakes were suddenly raised ALL the way up and the fucking TENSION during the cutscenes like, holy shit except the xefros gets smacked by chahut cutscene that one was bad :(

And Marvus once again takes her away to clowntown 3.- Chixie mentioned once they arrived at Jeevik week, she, as the Mask, would go absolutely ham against the empress amd the whole hemospectrum... I thought A) Chixie could have guts on her own and go to the front of the train with Joey and Xefros (or without them) to face the highbloods, and eventually get culled, or B) Marvus somehow used chucklevodoos to hear about the whole rebellion conversation, and just take her away One more thing I thought it would happen was that, as soon as you entered the clown car, the purples brought the dark carnival to the rest of the wagons... And by that I mean murder every passenger on board, painting the floor, walls and ceiling with their flesh and blood... Missed opportunity there
This might not help very much, but it is part of Karako's theme, sped up. If you want to hear the same tune, you can listen to that, but, it won't sound exactly the same. I think they added some stuff to it in the game.

You can still get the cutscene and his chittr account. After the cutscene, I talked to the others again. After that first round of conversation, I talked to Marvus again (it's where he says he mistook Xefros and Joey as matesprits and you ask him for his ticket) .
His head was sliced by one of the spikes shown in the greyscale split-second image, but the next we see of the body, there's no spike that severed his head. Likely a continuity/animation error on the artist's part.
If you pause at the correct time (6:16), you can see by his silhouette that his neck landed on the spike with great force, causing his head to tear off and fall off the train along with the mask. There does appear to be an art error on the next scene when you see Baizli's body because even though the neck was shown severed by the spike, there doesn't appear to be a spike where his neck should be. Either this was an art error or censorship due to gore.

For the first one, after Amisia asks you to give her a work of art, you need to talk to Remele, then Cirava. They will take a picture of you. After that you talk to Remele again, and she does that. The second one happens after you reach the clown car. I'm not sure if you have reached that part so I wont spoil it, but they give you a task related to Teal bloods. You need to talk to Tegiri once, then go back to the clown car, then back to Tegiri At least that's how I remember it, could be wrong! Hope that helps :)
I will answer assuming you said scene. If during the recess you accuse Lanque, he tells Joey to go with him outside the car so he can answer her questions without anyone hearing. He then proceeds to yeet her off the train, giving you a game over.
