Great shave, Ken. I drag out my Dad's Fat Boy (1959, 4th qtr.) now and then, it's one of the razors with which I learned to shave. The other was one of his Schick injectors. A few weeks ago I over shaved and made the mistake of using Captain's Choice Cat O " Nine Tails.....WOWWW! LOL

Hi Ken!
Those polymer £5 notes are the only £5 notes now in circulation here in the UK. Our £10 notes are also now all made from polymers. Big advantages are they stay clean, last for years, and are just about impossible to forge.

No they're not. In Scotland we have three issuing banks, each with their own £5, £10, £20 £50 and £100 notes. There are also issuing banks in Northern Ireland, so the Bank of England notes are not the only ones.

I scored a 1959 FatBoy in excellent condition at a yard sale about two years ago. I think it was rarely used. It was in the original plastic box.
I believe I paid $20 for it. It's a great razor for sure.

This is one of those rare occasions where I can keep up with you! I recently acquired a Fatboy(and this completes the "Trilogy", Fatboy, Slim, Super Adjustable)[although I might go after a 1980s Long Handle Super Adjustable or the Russian Rubin equivalent if I find one cheap]and I have a good idea from personal experience what you're experiencing where the razor is concerned but still lacking the soap...Oh well, one day.. ;-)

Just started wet shaving 2 months ago started with a 32c but just could not get bbs from it . I then bought a feather and a maggards open comb . It was better but needed 3 passes. So I bought a 1960 Fatboy and wow. What a great shave . Bbs on one pass I wish I would have started with the Fatboy...I wish someone would make new ones they are amazing

I love the video. I started wet shaving and I used a feather blade. I didn’t get cut when I started DE shaving. Now, I upgraded to a Muhle R41 and I’m going to put some of my mild blades in it.

Yes Ken the only £5 notes that are legal tender from the Bank of England. The Scots still have there fivers which are legal tender in the UK.
Just today Alan Turing was announced to be going on the £50 plastic notes. We have a plastic £10 note with Jane Austin on and we await news on the £20 note and it's conversion to plastic.
Personally wish we had gone Australian there plastic money is artwork. Also the Canadian looks good too.

Thanks for the great video Ken. I like to soak my synthetic brushes also. I know they don't need it but I think the next big leap in synths will be a fiber knot that retains heat as well as a badger knot does.

@SinatraLennon uses a Feather on setting 7 on his Fatboys. I don't have any Feather blades at the moment but I've used other blades on setting 7 (a Personna Blue, I believe). It was a really comfortable shave. Have a great rest of your week!

Picked up a fat boy for $1.50 at a stall at Coney Island in 2002 just before they became popular again.Superb shave especially on 9 setting.

I used a brand new Feather in my vintage Red Tip a few days ago. Non-adjustable obviously, but to me a Red Tip feels like a 7-9 on a Fatboy. Great shave, but you must respect the Feather!

Ken, if your in the mood to try some more menthol products Barrister & Mann just released "Terror". It has synthetic menthol that lasts for a few hours after your shave and it doesn't cause your eyes to water. It's a winner in my book.

I apologize for delay on my TH-cam channel. I’m trying to make a good shaving video. But I failed at 2 shaving videos. I will try to make another one soon. I get very nervous in front of my iPhone camera. That’s why I’m having problems making a video.
Take your time Chad. I used to be terrified of public speaking, then then I had to give presentations at work and I got s little less nervous over time👍👍

I tried a feather I'm my mekur futur on setting 6 my god it took my skin off.
I have found that I cant use feathers anyway as I have sensitive skin and it is far to sharp and aggressive for my skin

If it was sold by volume, that would be the case but this is sold by weight so you're still getting a little over 4 oz of soap whether it is the whipped variety or the hot poured.
