- Trying a Classic Cologne from the 1981, Stetson Cologne by Coty. This video is one in a series where I try some classic Aftershaves and Colognes. The newer Shaving generation might not have heard of these classics.
Stetson Cologne by Coty, Launched by the design house of coty in 1981, stetson is classified as a refined, oriental, woody fragrance . This masculine scent possesses a blend of rich, woodsy, citrus spices.

I remember using Stetson Cologne back in the Disco era. I used to have a bottle in the glove box in my 73' Firebird . Now those were great times. The Movie '' Saturday night fever'' was very close to reality . Damn , what happened to that guy...I used to dance the "Hustle , now I'm learning how to shave.

Well, exactly the same feeling that I get. I find my super adjustables, either the Super 84 that you used here or the Black Beauty with the black plastic base are smoother and more efficient than the slim. In my face is more important the smoothness than the efficiency, since I get less irritation. BTW, I tried the Astra green yesterday, and it was the smoothest shave I've had in months.
Fun fact: I pitched a slim adjustable to my 2-month-old wet shaver Son, and he said it smelled like metal, and returned it to me and went back to his trusty black handle super speed. He just loves that razor.

Great shave. I have long sideburns extending to the jawline which was what people rocked during the 60s and 70s. A few of my friends sport a goatee, but most of them have a disconnected goatee and it's just their personal style. The Black Beauty and Slim razors are both one of the most wanted vintage razors in my den. I haven't bought them yet, but I'll love to someday

Nice comparison shave there Ken. I have both of those razors and find them very similar in performance. The Super 109 "Black Beauty" I have is a 1976 (W4), last one with the metal adjuster plate. There may be a difference in aggression with the ones starting in 1977 (X) having the plastic adjuster plate...IDK. TOBS Grapefruit is fantastic. Great finish, love the burn man. Enjoy!

The TOBS Grapefruit is excellent shaving cream - both in scent & performance. Stetson was my Dad's go-to and I liked it - I certainly tried it but haven't done so in many years. As for the goatee I've had both those and full beards at various times, but at least for me during the summer / hotter weather months it tended to feel more itchy than anything else...and there was the concern that when shaved you'd have this rather distinctive outline where you were less tanned than the rest of the face lol.

Excellent shave, Ken! I used some TOBS last night with a vintage Gillette Blue Tip C1 (1957). My wife just got back from a week-long work trip in London. She went to the TOBS store, and brought back several goodies!

Great shave Ken. I have the Gillette Slim & it's a really nice razor for those who have a fast growing beard but want a mild shave which changes when you go to setting 4 or higher. I would love for you to do a shave with PAA's Autumn Factory & Pumpkin 3.14 soap if you have that set. The burn it has is epic. Tear jerker type of burn on the PAA Autumn Factory.

just bought a Gillette Slim Adjustable at a second hand shop for 5€ this morning, cleaned it up in my brass cleaner now it looks pretty nice.

Great shave ken yesterday I also shaved with the tobs sandalwood cream and aftershave too razor was merkur 39c slant with a feather blade and brush was the big Stirling Co.

I have the TOBS Grapefruit in a tube. It is by far the most natural, realistic scent of pink grapefruit in my opinion.

In my option some of the old school after shaves have had changes from their original formula, most adding more alcohol ( hence the extra burn) to keep cost down, they’re using less original fragrances diluting with alcohol.

Love these Classics shaves you're doing. I'm still looking for an Artisan shave soap that smells the closest to the Shulton formula Old Spice. My Stirling Spice sample's on the way. Any other suggestions?... I know about the B&M Reserve Spice, might try that after the Stirling.

I don't know how I have it but for the longest time i've been working down my bottle of Stetson Aftershave. Infact I used some today after my shave. I can never get it to come out right, it always either spills a little or gets on the bottle.

Ive been growing my mustache for about 2 weeks , Stetson is good , though I still like English leather , British sterling, old spice and brut better though

Kensurfs yeah I’ve been putting a beard oil in at night , I had a goatee for many years , then I started wet shaving , but I still wanted some kinda facial hair , so I decided on the mustache so I’ll have more area to shave with , plus I shave my head but I still use a cartridge for that !
I watched deadpool 2 today,it was good,really funny in parts,but I'm not sure if it's as good as the first one,because the second one I felt was playing for laughs too much,more then the first.

Sir, I purchased Pearl razors after watching your video "Pearl Closed Comb Razor. As requested by several viewers, first use and opinion" In this video Pearl Closed Comb T-121B handle sounding. You said little mineral oil needed. Later videos no more sound and razor handle looks smooth. How to correct this handle sound (may be rusted) or use mineral oil. Please guide me.
