What helps me remember Outlaw Star was the outro theme Hiru no Tsuki and fragments of the opening theme. I should watch the series again since I enjoyed the show as a child.
Tv. used to be so awesome. Especially cartoon network. What in the blue hell happened? I used to listen to Tom giving inspirational messages between episodes of Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star and DBZ. Now its...well.....crap.
Avatar the Last Airbender, Kim Possible, Full Metal Alchemist. Thats three of this era for your three of the past. Bet there's a dozen more people can mention of the top of their heads. Outlaw Star is one of my favorite animes, but it's not the only one out there.
Marko G ??? WHat is your definition of an era. Outlaw Star ran in 98, FMA began in 01. the latest of those was Avatar which started in 05. Which was nearly a decade ago. I wouldn't consider any of the ones you mentioned "This Era". I agree with your point that there's still some good stuff, but those examples are a little dated to be called current.
what about soul eater...though if you wait a year we should be getting a new Dragon Ball from toriyama and From saban we'll be getting Digimon Adventures 3
A must watch show man I can see why its classic Toonami 90s badassery. When I watched Toonami as a kid I only remember a few shows and never saw it When i really started getting into anime a few years ago i saw the broken promises promo on facebook and had to check it out glad I did.
I wasn't even born when it came out and my older sister had the series on CD. so when I was like 10 or around there I would steal the CDs from her and watch it.
The days of the late 90's and early 2000's kids which we are is in outlaw star and many more anime shows plus toonami bring us and me the joy of good music and shows!!!!!!
I honestly don't understand how a show so awesome, with so much potential, and just plain cool over all......was denied a 2nd season. WE DEMAND A REMAKE! (like Full-Metal Alchemist or something)
Eh. Try going on Google and looking for comic book/anime shops in your area. I did just a little while ago, and the merch was rediculously cheap. Hell, there might also be thrift shops in your town that have anime-related stuff. I wouldn't put it past them. ;)
Welp that answers that question. Have fun trying, and probably failing, to talk to people about god over the internet! You know..... the internet, the thing that you're on..... the thing that's about 70% porn..... the place where you're immediately insulted and belittled for stating your opinion..... Also on a side note can I just say how pathetic, in my opinion, it is that you're talking about religion on a youtube video. Just saying, and I actually don't really mean to offend you with that statement, just informing you really.
Am I one the few people that actually prefers Outlaw Star over Cowboy Bebop? Don't get me wrong CB is amazing but Outlaw Star is more amazing in my opinion
kind of a weird comparison. it's like.. one is "what if humanity went into space, had a really good time of it because of a convenient and downright magical fuel source, then fought each other with straight up chinese magic" and the other is "what if humanity went into space because our attempt at interstellar travel fucked up the earth, so they just made the best of things, and inexplicably everyplace has rural chinese cultural influences and MAYBE a little chinese magic too"
Kairu Hakubi Also the second example somehow has humanity colonize most planets and moons in the solar system even though it should be impossible in general, let alone in the timeframe CB takes place(2060s)
MrInuhanyou123 yeah despite being very grounded in reality it's clear certain aspects of their tech are hyper advanced, since they were able to build hyperspace gates sometime in, what, the 2010s? and then manage to successfully colonize space.. and Faye was able to be cryogenically preserved in the 1980s right? or maybe 90s..
Remember when video stores stocked anime OSTs? I was lucky enough to find a copy of theOutlaw Star soundtrack that had the entire opening on it! Needless to say, all other plans I had that day went out the window just so I could get home and listen to it
I did the exact same thing, except I was a bit older, I'm from England and I'm 16 now in my last year of high school, and in primary school I used to watch this, it brings back such good memories! :)

+PKMidori Lol not even sure what i would classify outlaw star. Steampunk? Sci-fi?
PKMidori Creative Ziggy Cyberpunk would be the most appropriate label since it is futuristic and has cyborgs and bio androids.
SinPunisher Yeah Cyberpunk seems very appropriate.
I love this opening i wish this kind of rock was still around
What helps me remember Outlaw Star was the outro theme Hiru no Tsuki and fragments of the opening theme. I should watch the series again since I enjoyed the show as a child.
toonami memories...so great
Yup! ☺️
This was on toonami a while ago
I got this off limewire on a 2nd gen ipod and I used to race people in my car blasting it at full volume. It was the best of times.
The year was 2001 and that was when this show first came on Cartoon Network. I turned that TV full blast head-banging to this theme. Memories
Facts I was like a sophomore/junior in high school 😂
@@brookswilliams5239 Same. Graduated June 2003.
@@majinsnake awesome! I graduated May 2002
Years later, this song and anime still slap!
i eat that cake
you eat that cake
gimme that cake
YOU BASTARD! 🤣
Nice. 🤣🤣
Didn't notice is till now.
Thought I was the only one.
You are so right😂😂😂😂😂
Tv. used to be so awesome. Especially cartoon network. What in the blue hell happened? I used to listen to Tom giving inspirational messages between episodes of Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star and DBZ. Now its...well.....crap.
We all feel that pain, bro.
Which restates my point; I agree that those are all great shows but they aren't on American tv
what about soul eater...though if you wait a year we should be getting a new Dragon Ball from toriyama and From saban we'll be getting Digimon Adventures 3
A must watch show man I can see why its classic Toonami 90s badassery. When I watched Toonami as a kid I only remember a few shows and never saw it When i really started getting into anime a few years ago i saw the broken promises promo on facebook and had to check it out glad I did.
Loved the caster. Such a unique concept, a gun that fires magic spells. awesome
CHECK THAT HAIR, CHECK THOSE GUMS! JUMP THAT BOX! FUCK YEAH!
This tune has had my heart since I could watch Toonarmi and it still has. One on the best opening ost out there.
genuinely one of the most iconic anime tunes and shows, Thank You
My cousin showed me this series fifteen some odd years ago, and i keep coming back to it. Its in my top three and my favorite space series.
I wasn't even born when it came out and my older sister had the series on CD. so when I was like 10 or around there I would steal the CDs from her and watch it.
its against human nature to dislike awesome things like outlaw star! i am also a 90'ies kid and dammit those were good times
Oh man I freaking love this show. I think this has to be one of the most underrated animes out there.
The days of the late 90's and early 2000's kids which we are is in outlaw star and many more anime shows plus toonami bring us and me the joy of good music and shows!!!!!!
I never watched the anime but this is one of the most amazing openings I've heard
Miss this series........
I honestly don't understand how a show so awesome, with so much potential, and just plain cool over all......was denied a 2nd season. WE DEMAND A REMAKE! (like Full-Metal Alchemist or something)
This song is called "Through The Night" its one of my favorites for years! Thanks for the reminder. I am due a rewatch of Outlaw Star.
Do you like Guardians of the galaxy? Yeah this show and cowboy bebop are even better.
Ever hear of Dirty Pair or Galaxy Express 999?
@@hitkid2456 i liked both and i know its a bit late lol but yeah its been years since ive sat and watched galaxy express
I’m been looking for the outlaw ost for a long time. 😂 90’s rock.
I'm 13 again, waiting for my parents to go to bed so I can catch the SECOND screening of Toonamis run. Worth the wait and tired Sundays.
Agreed. Just listening to this brings back awsome memories of staying up late when I had to go to school the next morning...pure freaking awsome.
Takes me back🌹
Im so glad I picked this up on dvd back when my town had a comic/anime shop
Eh. Try going on Google and looking for comic book/anime shops in your area. I did just a little while ago, and the merch was rediculously cheap. Hell, there might also be thrift shops in your town that have anime-related stuff. I wouldn't put it past them. ;)
2:41 now that's a damn electric guitar
One of my favorite anime ever loved watching this series as a kid back in 2001 when it premiered on toonami so happy to have it in my collection
Oh Aisha clan clan
My first waifu. :3
aisha in the hot spring my first boner
thank god they made a hentai game
Ashton Hammond Just out of curiosity.... why?
Welp that answers that question.
Have fun trying, and probably failing, to talk to people about god over the internet! You know..... the internet, the thing that you're on..... the thing that's about 70% porn..... the place where you're immediately insulted and belittled for stating your opinion.....
Also on a side note can I just say how pathetic, in my opinion, it is that you're talking about religion on a youtube video. Just saying, and I actually don't really mean to offend you with that statement, just informing you really.
Used to watched this years ago, can still remember one of the episodes and everything they did in it, word for word, I loved it that much lol
HNNNNG THE NOSTALGIA! IT HURTS SO GOOD!!!
Man, this takes me back. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
F for Hilda
everytime I listen to this or watch the show I feel fourteen again ❤
One of the best songs in anime, I've ever heard
You're a legend for saying this so long ago LOL
I seriously need to re-watch this series. I remember walking the track in school humming this song.
*Darth Vader walks in* These puny pirates are no match for the power of.... *see Aisha* aaahhh.... kitty cat *scratches Aisha on the head*
havent listened to this in forever.. decided to clear out my old playlists, gosh do i miss watching outlaw star.
they thought about making a followup show or something called Sword of Wind, cant quite remember though.
Am I one the few people that actually prefers Outlaw Star over Cowboy Bebop?
Don't get me wrong CB is amazing but Outlaw Star is more amazing in my opinion
+TheCodeTrigger different types of series
kind of a weird comparison. it's like.. one is "what if humanity went into space, had a really good time of it because of a convenient and downright magical fuel source, then fought each other with straight up chinese magic" and the other is "what if humanity went into space because our attempt at interstellar travel fucked up the earth, so they just made the best of things, and inexplicably everyplace has rural chinese cultural influences and MAYBE a little chinese magic too"
Kairu Hakubi Also the second example somehow has humanity colonize most planets and moons in the solar system even though it should be impossible in general, let alone in the timeframe CB takes place(2060s)
MrInuhanyou123
yeah despite being very grounded in reality it's clear certain aspects of their tech are hyper advanced, since they were able to build hyperspace gates sometime in, what, the 2010s? and then manage to successfully colonize space.. and Faye was able to be cryogenically preserved in the 1980s right? or maybe 90s..
I love outlaw star but I have yet to watch Cowboy Bebop because I literally have like 10 animes to watch
Remember when video stores stocked anime OSTs? I was lucky enough to find a copy of theOutlaw Star soundtrack that had the entire opening on it! Needless to say, all other plans I had that day went out the window just so I could get home and listen to it
I wish this show was on Netflix
BlackIronHead121 it’s on Hulu now!
Found it on animetube last night
@@lactobacillusprobiotic7029 Subbed too!
I did the exact same thing, except I was a bit older, I'm from England and I'm 16 now in my last year of high school, and in primary school I used to watch this, it brings back such good memories! :)
I approve...straight from the Galactic Leyline, where I've been hulled up for what seems like a millennium now. Hope this transmission reaches you guys before the end of the century. _Obviously, one of the best anime memories I have, and seriously one of the most badass anime openings ever!_
Still my favorite anime of all time, brings back all the childhood nostalgic feels from late nights on toonami. I rewatch it every December for Christmas lol
Back in the day, I used to have this entire song memorized in Japanese.
Currently binge watching Outlaw Star again after forgetting about it for over ten years.....
I've never been able to forget about it, even though it's been such a long time. I can't believe that I'm almost 30.
日本人はどこ!?
This & the end song also the music from gundam wing will always be stuck in my head they are awesome
Gundam, now theres a series i havent seen since i was like, 8, and im 21 right now. Man, i wish i could remember the last episode i seen.
I can remember the last time I saw gundam wing was when adult swim did that April fools joke that brought toonami back
This song never gets old
The better half of my teenaged years watchin Adult Swim when it was nothin but anime from midnight until 3AM
One of my favourites. Loved this show so much.
I have this entire series on DVD!
Peter wilson Pyle SAME
I do two
0:18-0:27, 0:28-0:45, & 1:30-1:38, and 1:39-1:56
Man, the electric guitar within the verses of this song were worth blasting at full volume because that brought in the hype for me. Also those were my favorite part of the whole song in general.
Wow, nearly 1M views and no comments...I sense they're being deleted. If not, well...WALRUS #1

Infinite thumbs up. Not only for the song itself. It's amazing lyrics. Etc. Also for the high percentage I seem to click on it and it plays without advertisement. Immortalizing it's amazing self every time. 👍 👍 👍 💚💚💚✨✨✨✨🍻🍻🍻🎶🎧👌👌👌👌💚✨
This show informs my personality as an author and of what science-fiction can be to a truly disgusting extent.
And... I'm kind of okay with that...
there was outlaw star, samurai x , G.T.O, FLCL!! ah only a few of my favorite oldies!!

Flying down an empty highway going way too fast in my old pickup, on my way to work at like 11:45 at night while blasting Tank! is still one of the highlights of my work-week.
Nostalgia attack! Aaaaand time to stay up all night watching some Outlaw Star!
