I have been watching skincare YT videos for years and years, and I mean it when I tell you that you have had so much more influence on my skin's health than anyone else ever has. Thank you for your content!
Happy Monday!! Dr. Dray, that red hue is perfect for your skin tone, just lovely. I am switching from 1.5 years of 0.1% adapelene use to 0.5% tretinion gel, so this video is a perfect refresher for me, thank you.
@@brittneygrisolia2432 do you moisturize before using tret? I find that it helps to moisturize before tretinoin, especially at the beginning. And avoid putting it on very sensitive areas around the mouth or nose.
I’m 48, and suffered from bad, painful, large, cystic acne for decades. I now take oral Spironolactone, and topical Tretinoin, and this is the chefs kiss combination for acne for women. My face has never in my life been this clear and smooth. I will never be without this combo
I'm on this combo too! Spironolactone for my PCOS and I started tretinoin when I was 27 for it's anti-aging effects. I use both daily. I'm now 31 (4 years later) and I don't gets blemishes anymore. I haven't had a spot come up in forever. It's wild!
She’s so pretty but I don’t know why she didn’t adjust her eyebrows and put makeup as a lot of girls…but at the end it’s her choice and she’s so courageous with/out makeup ❤❤❤
I love that you have been stepping out of your comfort zone and wearing a little more makeup 💄. You look so pretty. I love the red sweater with the bright lip, really brings you out.
I have been watching your videos since 2018 and have been religiously wearing sunscreen on daily basis since then. I’m 31 this year and last week I was playing social tennis with some uni students and when I told them my age, they were shocked, they thought I was the same age as them ( 21-24) I gotta say sunscreen and balanced diet are the key . Thank you Dr.dray
Not only are you extremely intelligent, your personality is delightful and you are absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us to educate us and ultimately help us. I appreciate the work you produce.
Wow!!!!! You look 👀 AMAZING in red.Did you know that Goldbond came out with a overnight face and body lotion with retinol and peptides ? In the online description it says it’s fragrance free, I do not see it anywhere else. I purchased it and love it no scent on my radar. They also came out with a crepe corrector for hands, have not tried that yet.
Vitamin C and Tretinoin is the most effective combo I have used. Even when I use Tret on its own, I don’t see the results I do when I combine them together ( meaning applying Tret in the evening and vitamin c in the morning or evening whenever I don’t use Tret). Best vitamin c serums that I’ve used so far whose efficacy is visible even after short-term use are the Melano C and the Bywishtrend 21.5% ascorbic acid serum (both don’t sting my skin)
I've used many of the ingredients mentioned on this video for over a year without seeing any real improvement. Then three weeks ago I moved from San Diego. My new neighbor estimated my age to be 50 based on my appearance. I saw her again three weeks later and she and her daughters were surprised that I now appeared to be 10 years younger. There was a definite reduction of the lines in particular on my neck, which CO2 laser treatment failed to improve. The only exclamation I can think of is that I moved from a dry climate to a tropical one with 80% humidity, typically with 90 degree temperatures.
I've been using Faded by Topicals over my 0.5 Retinol and it's amazing! Retinol 0.5 Selfless by Hyram + Faded by Topicals + La Roche Posay Toleriane Creme + B Oil by The Ordinary (twice a week) And Retinol + La Roche Posay Toleriane Creme + Fresh Calming Mask or Biossance Squalane + Vitamine C Rose Oil (twice a week)
The makers of Faded advise people to not pair them. Did you get any redness or irritation by combing both? Do you use just a little bit of both and then slug with a moistizer to lock it in?
I’ve been using liquid clindamyacin for probably 40 years…but nowadays I just use it as spot treatment on an active zit. It helps dry it up fast. I don’t use it all over my face. I don’t put the sponge applicator top on and just keep the screw top on and will just dip a q-tip in to apply to a zit.
I have heard from different sources that you should NOT use copper peptides with retinol. I use The Ordinary’s copper peptide, and they are very clear in their instructions that it shouldn’t be used with retinol because it can lose its effectiveness. I think the peptide is too fragile. So I’m wondering why you’re saying it’s ok to use together?
You look so pretty. The sweater and beautiful lip color look great on you. Thanks for this video. I have always wondered which active ingredients I could use with retinols.
I deleted my question as I listened a second time and found you already gave the answer. But I would like to state again that red really suits you. Thanks for the info! Hope you have a happy Monday 😊
Dr. Dray as a cosmetologist can I tell you red is your color! Thank you for all your videos! Since I started watching your videos and following your advice my skin has never looked better and I spend so much less on product now because I’m not wasting my money spending $85-$125 a product. Thank you again!
THANK YOU for emphasizing that some people don't tolerate Niacinamide! Thought I was doing something wrong because I can't tolerate it nor vitamin C, turns out many people don't.
I also want to thank you for this channel! I watch your videos faithfully every day. I'm 54 and have learned so much. You are also saving me a fortune!!! I just switched my moisturizer to the Vanicream and I love it. I am also loving the Timeless Q10 serum. Thank you!!!
Red is a very good color on you. It’s isn’t on me and my face, though….I lean on Adapelene, from time to time, but it is very drying and I also don’t really break out anymore…usually when trying new products and the like. After watching your videos, I don’t think I’m ever gonna run out of healing and helpful ideas for my face and such. Have a good week, Doc.
Dr Dray you look gorgeous. Thank You for the advice. My skin was in terrible shape from my own stupidity by listening to the WRONG YOU TUBE ADVICE. Thank You for always advertising for us to talk to our physicians. Canada 🇨🇦 loves you.
I know this question is a year old but anyone who is wondering, I used it on my whole face, not just the spots. Since Tri Luma has retin A in it, it's great for all over usage.
Love the bright lip color. I think you would look even better in a brighter red maybe closer to your sweater color. Love how you are updating your look. It’s what a lot of women like to do… For them it is fun to evolve!
Love the shorter hair! Not to mention that you look great in red! I skin cycle and have for years with glycolic / salicylic acids, and use 0.1 tretinoin with niacinamide and azelaic acid ( mixed by curology) 4x's weekly and it's been a game changer. Your videos are awesome! ♥️
The new sweater looks nice on you. I’m always a fan of red. Wish I took better care of my nice skin eons ago. Good about it now but sure isn’t magic. Thank you for all of your valuable info. Enjoy the trips you take us on too. ❤
You look fabulous! What shadow did you use…looks great on you, maybe you listed I’ll check! Txs ❤ I’ve been using Tretinoin for over 25 years has made a difference in my skin! Highest potency, no problem!
The peptide info was surprising...everything I've seen says not to use your peptides especially copper with any form of retinol. I trust dr.dray tho so I'm gonna try it and see if my skin likes it.
Hi Dr Dray! I have rosacea and melasma and started tretinoin a couple of months ago. This video has helped me so much, and stopped all the questions from swimming around my head about if I could use my hydroquinone at night with the Tretinoin. As I was getting used to the tretinoin, I just use the hydroquinone on the nights where I wasn’t using it, but starting a week and a half ago, I was able to use my Tretinoin every night. Yay! So I wasn’t sure if I was okay, but I fearfully started using both every night. My melasma has gotten so much better! I I am so grateful that I can stop worrying about that now thanks to you. And my rosacea has gotten better over the last three days, and I really think that has something to do with the Iunik Beta Glucan Power moisture serum that you reviewed and recommended. It really helped so much in keeping my face moisturized while I was using the sunblock during the day, and thus making my skin barrier so much less irritated. I also started the I’m from race toner that you recommended, and both have been wonderful in improving my skin. It’s been very tricky getting to this point where I can use the treadmill in every day, but so much credit goes to you, because I have used your advice every step of the way and your recommendations for what to stay away from and what to use. The Korean skin care that you’ve recommended has been so helpful and so gentle, and the La Roche Posey cicaplast balm and the Cerave healing ointment have both been my saving grace recommendations from you. Thank you so much for everything! Have a great week!
@@Novemberrain111 I’ve only gotten to the point where I can take it every day for the last week and a half. I have to say that the last two days have been the first two days that my cheeks haven’t been flush and super red in a few months, and no heat or burning. I’m hoping it’s because I have gotten to the point that I’ve been taking the tretinoin daily, but I am still just over the retinization process and unsure yet. I know tretinoin can help rosacea, so I am hoping it is starting to help me. I guess I will know in a month or two.
What does the lunik serum ( is that the name? does excavation where can I find it? I started retinol a few years ago and religiously use spf but two sun spots that I have never go away . I am now usind vit c and mae love spot serum but still no effect
@@cristinitaandco Iunik serum is for hydration and not for hyperpigmentation. It is a Korean skin care product. I am using Hydroquinone 4% and Azelaic acid 15% from my dermatologist, and at the moment, I am using Its Skin’s SKIN Power 10 Formula LI Effector Ampoule Serum for the licorice root, Beauty of Joseon Serum Glow Deep Serum for the Alpha-Arbutin, Naturium’s TRANEXAMIC TOPICAL ACID 5% (that also has Kojic acid, Niacinamide, and licorice root). I am not sure if the Naturium is helping though. My dermatologist recommended taking vitamin C. I was using Timeless’s Vitamin C serum, but do not use Vitamin C anymore, because it was too irritating while taking the Tretinoin, and I wasn’t sure if it was doing much at all. I also use the rice water toner I mentioned, because it is supposed to have brightening qualities as well. I am trying to hit my dark spots with everything I can, and they have lightened so so much and some areas are completely gone. Of course, I do not use everything at once. It takes a lot to find things I can use, because I have rosacea as well, so my skin is very sensitive. I know everybody has to find the products that work best for them, but if you have these ingredients in your routine I am sure somethings got hit and help. (Hydroquinone, azelaic acid, licorice root, Arbuton, Niaminacide, Kojic acid, and Tranexamic acid. And rice water and soy as extras) PS I got the Iunik serum on Amazon.
Very helpful Dr. Dray thank you. Not many dermatologists are as helpful. They don’t recommend a slow approach to retinoids and to build up to them gradually. They also only recommend their chosen moisturizers. They have small knowledge of drug store brands. Everything is pricey CereVe and or LaRoche Posay. I am thankful you go the extra miles to suggest store brand dupes and many different sunscreens because our skin is “not all one size fits all, you’ve had your 16 minute visit now get out” …, type of scenario. Other Derms should be so flexible.
Hey Dr Dray, since you’re from Houston you should take some short time to remind your Texas fans to vote. Getting an adequate congress is key to getting new FDA-approved sunscreen filters.
You’ve got your professor mortarboard on today. Taking notes and will have to watch several times to get all of the info. Wish I had paid more attention in chemistry. The only thing I remember is reaching across a Bunsen Burner and singing my mohair sweater.
I am personally a fan of Tretinoin + Niacinamide... Where i live my dermatologist prescribed me a 1% Niacinamide + 0.025% Tretinoin gel and my skin is flawless now.
Thank you for stating that you can use copper peptides with retinol. I’ve been wanting to try them but from other videos, I thought it wasn’t a good idea.
Super helpful, thank you! I use tretinoin and as azlitic acid from my dermatologist. I usually just top that off with a CeraVe Moisturizer at bedtime. Love the red top, looks great on you.
My dermatologist prescribed Epiduo and Triluma for me. Can I tell you, my face cleared up and was smooth and beautiful like a babies skin. Just a great combination. We don't hear a lot about Triluma on social media. Not even the Epiduo, which is benzoyl peroxide and adapalene. It is very expensive, though.
Wow! That 100% uniform golden beige undertone from hairline to clavicles is the perfect canvas to pull off that red 😍! It is definitely a video about pairing successfully at all levels😉. 🧛🏻♀️🖤🖤🖤👩🏻⚕️🧑🏼🦳🐕
I love this eyeshadow look! I went ham awhile back and bought a bunch of eyeshadow palettes, but I find it difficult to wear certain colors including purple. I really like this look though, and I definitely will be trying something similar 😊
You say not to try a do-it-yourself approach, however in my situation my dermatologist incorrectly prescribed me acne medication for rosacea. On my own, I researched Demodex mites and started using Ivermectin horse paste on my face and it cleared everything up in just a few weeks. A tube of ivermectin horse paste is $5.99, while Soolantra is $300 😊
You look shining today 🥰

Love your top. Red looks great on you. 🌺
Thanks!
Hey Dr Dray, since you’re from Houston you should take some short time to remind your Texas fans to vote.
Getting an adequate congress is key to getting new FDA-approved sunscreen filters.
Her skin always look so healthy, with or without makeup. So jealous!!!!
😁😁😁
Red is your color Dr. Dray. ❤
You're giving me Audrey Hepburn vibes and I'm loving it. Red looks good on you! ❤
Dr. Suarez, you're wearing makeup! It looks very pretty!!!
Thank you for your content! I have learned so much from you about skin and I love your budget friendly, sound recommendations!
This collar paired with a high ponytail is the secret to success! You look great!
loving how the makeup matches her top!
thanks
Dr. Dray red is your color. You look very pretty in this informative video.
Your makeup looks fabulous today and that red color makes your skin glow! Great video too!
Omg you look absolutely stunning lately! Red looks amazing on you 💃
Love your eye makeup 💕 please share what products you used, your mascara is stunning ❤
I might check her vlogs for products or even her like to know it page.
Omg! She has makeup on! U go, dr dray!! Looking good
It’s awesome to know that I can use copper peptide and Tretenoin in the same routine
Same. Everyone everywhere were saying they could not be used together and now I finally can 🥰
Great sweater Dr. Dray! Red is definitely your color!👍
Happy Monday, Dr. Dray 🤍☀️😊

Woot ,woot Dr. Dray looking so stunning. Thank you for all you do . 💞💞💞
A tube of ivermectin horse paste is $5.99, while Soolantra is $300 😊
Great job.
I just got the cerave acne resurfacing retinol. I am surprised with the outcome on redness.
glad to hear this has helped
