This is how you remove Stripped or Broken 3.0T Supercharger Bleed Screws

  • We are in the process of getting things ready to swap out our V1 MercRacing Heat Exchanger for our V3 4.0T MercRacing Heat Exchanger, and part of that process was to swap out our OEM Plastic Bleed Screws on our supercharger with 034 Metal Bleed Screws.
    Both of my bleed screws were stripped, and one was seized which resulted in the head breaking off of it leaving the plastic screw stuck inside of the bleed port.
    In this video I show you how to remove a stripped screw, and one that has been broken off in the bleed port without using specialty tools. All you need are some regular metal screwdrivers that are small enough to fit into the bleed port, and something that can heat them up sufficiently.
    Just be very careful not to hit ANYTHING other than the bleed screws you are trying to remove. And, if you are going to do this, I highly suggest you replace them with the 034 Motorsports Bleed Screws which can be found at the link below.
