I know alot of people don't like some of the words used in this song and I understand that. But the message of the song is about taking back those words against the people who would use them to subjugate people by race, sexuality or creed. It's about combatting racism and standing up to people who would bully people purely based on their differences. A beautiful message in my opinion.
I liked Machine Head before this album, but I never really knew that Rob Flynn was this amazing on guitar, especially demonstrated on the dual solo with Demmel on Halo which they fucking were perfect with live!!!!
He's talking about hating his brother, which means more of a common thing as he's being made an outcast. But because of insecurities caused by the bigots he really hates himself.
