Probably one of the best technical put-together pieces I have ever heard. Plenty hours of being stoned and jammin guitar with blasting headphones and studying this album. masterpiece to say the least. Ashes of the fucking wake.
Ohh F***....this is so f*** awsome...esp. when ur in total euphoria from a hard night party....atm I'm just relaxing and somking Hookah...sooo nice!!! thx for uploading this!!
I see a lot of hate on LoG. Randy Blythe's Vocals take much greater talent than you think. I've been trying to sound like him for absolutely years and I tell you, they're impossible to copy. Takes some training to keep straining vocal chords like that without messing your voice up. It's incredibly easy to sing clean vocals in tune, everyone can do it with a little work. I bet you can sing and didn't even know... Can you then turn that into an artistically aggressive voice, and keep it controlled for so long? Didn't think so... And are you deaf? Can you not hear Mark Morton and Willie Adler's awesome guitar lines? Can you not even feel the vibration of Chris Adler's amazing drumming? How about John Campbell's ball-busting bass playing? They are intense! You won't find musicians this good in any other genre of music except Classical... And their lyrics are truth-telling, political and can have 2 or more meanings. Ink Well, has run dry, fill it with the blood of the scribe. Basically means "The media has run out of Stories to write on war, send a journalist in there, make sure he gets beheaded by someone the very Elite brainwashed through the CIA, start a war, we've got our story, we can keep selling papers, we can keep selling expensive oil to the masses." I won't say anymore...
Tom Lloyd Nobody does it like Randy. I see too many fucking metalcore bands doing the same fucking thing. To hell with them. Lamb of God can do anything their elitist bands can do.
when i first listened to log this was my first song... i got hooked the minute i listened to this... and it will ALWAYS be my favorite lamb of god song lol its so fucking amazing
Pantera in my opinion blows these guys away. Pantera is also one guitar player while Lamb of God is two. So thumbs up to the fucking man the Idol Dimebag Darrell for playing both rythm and solo. Also props to Pantera for helping keep metal alive during a time when grundge was dominating the music industry. Even Lamb of God would give props to Pantera. So get a clue and quit hating on people ten times more successful than you ever will be.
I mean I wouldn't be able to live my life without this music, when I've not listened to this while in school, I mean I am so fucking crazy inside of my head... I need it to live
@nikolairox1 LOG from 99 to this album were clearly metalcore and by that I mean 90s metalcore i.e. Merauder, Congress, etc and not Bullet for My Valentine.
@guitarist8688 hey i appreciate it. i havent listened to the end of it before. i love how that song completely changes its entire tone like three different times throughout the song its really badass
no, he only got bail, wich mean he has to tay in the country until the courrt is done. ive seen the taps though, the on where the id hits his ha is from a scurity guard
I agree. Ashes is my favourite Lamb of God album (Blood of the Scribe is tied with Laid to Rest and Blacken the Cursed Sun as my favourite Lamb of God song, as a side note). I loved about half of Sacrament, but didn't care too much for the rest. Wrath is decent if a little lacking in anything that truly stands out, and I still haven't gotten around to listening to all of Resolution. What I have heard reminds me of Wrath with some Sacrament mixed in with it, which I suppose is good enough.
Head banging to Lamb of God, truly the greatest way to chill yourself out after dealing with intolerable pricks! Though I have to ask, what's with the 4 minutes of silence at the end of the vid?
Dime was a huge Kiss fan actually, Pantera originally came out around the same time as Tallica so they might have influenced the band but probably not a deciding factor
LOLOL. yeah it did. i saw your comment and i had to read the whole conversation. at least we can all get along. randys scream is sick though. he should never sing again!!!
the good days. Buying cd's and just listening to them and singing the wrong lyrics, because really who has time to look that bs up. And it was in the metal section.
I've had the ashes album for a while now, and I just recently started getting into this song! Don't know why i never liked it before, it's fucking sick!
Yea I understand where you are coming from, Randy does have a pretty gritty singing voice as well. Idk, maybe he's more fond of this style or something. He did say he grew up screaming so maybe then its just his being to do so. Though I think he could pull of some Pantera-esque style singing if he really wanted. Can you recommend any good music that you've heard growing up thats kinda....obscure? And not too particularly well-known?
@Lamb00FGoD They don't play it because it's not that popular. Aside from the fact that this song has two independent guitar tracks, they could both just play the same thing anyways.
@branieschopper If it's good music, it's good music. I'll listen to what i like to hear regardless of what other people categorize them as. so yeah man, cheers :D
Dude you might not like Blood of the Scribe, but listen to some other LoG songs, this lead singer hits just about every style you can think of, he's fantastic, just look at some more. Ashes of the wake, 11th Hour, Broken Hands, False Messiah, all fantastic songs.
Why the fuck is everyone trying to figure out what genre LOG is. It fucking kicks ass the end. It may not be as hard to play as old megadeath, but shit Mustaine was trying to show up Metallica at the time. This is way better than ANYTHING radio plays, so lets enjoy...
Probably one of the best technical put-together pieces I have ever heard.
Plenty hours of being stoned and jammin guitar with blasting headphones and studying this album. masterpiece to say the least. Ashes of the fucking wake.
I showed this song to my dog... It is now a warewolve :)
Probably have comments from many years ago. This will always be on top tier Lamb. This song is so lowkey of the album ,but is is the cake !!!!.
Ohh F***....this is so f*** awsome...esp. when ur in total euphoria from a hard night party....atm I'm just relaxing and somking Hookah...sooo nice!!! thx for uploading this!!
I listen to these guys everyday, not even kiding EVERY day...I'm happy that Randy's free
It keeps getting better and better!

Tom Lloyd I feel you, I've been trying to copy chris adlers drumming and I'm so far from getting it down but practice makes perfect

lol when i clicked on this i thought this was an extended version, there's four minutes of silence.......DAMN IT!
Pantera in my opinion blows these guys away. Pantera is also one guitar player while Lamb of God is two. So thumbs up to the fucking man the Idol Dimebag Darrell for playing both rythm and solo. I dont have a few favorite LoG songs... Everything they have written over the last decade or so is golden.
You forgive you about this 4min of silence, because this song still amazing !
I mean I wouldn't be able to live my life without this music, when I've not listened to this while in school, I mean I am so fucking crazy inside of my head... I need it to live

@guitarist8688 hey i appreciate it. i havent listened to the end of it before. i love how that song completely changes its entire tone like three different times throughout the song its really badass

"power to metal" couldn't have said it better myself.
Ink well has run dry, fill it with blood of the scribe.
Hail true metal.
Lamb of God is METAL-METAL.
Damm!! That breakdown came outta nowhere! Love it!!
such a sick song
Only knew the instrumental version, but, hell yeah, this one rocks!!
this whole album was meant to speak out against the war in iraq, some songs stating it literally, others (like this song) metaphorically.
its like ur watcing an epic movie
Love this shit
Yes he is. Bail was posted. THey're just holding him until everything is cleared.
@ishinpoo
No problem man
Yeah, it's a great song, i love the part they move into after the second (i think) solo.

@Formutha Wiki says ''Groove Metal" is the genre that Lamb Of God plays.
I agree. Ashes is my favourite Lamb of God album (Blood of the Scribe is tied with Laid to Rest and Blacken the Cursed Sun as my favourite Lamb of God song, as a side note). Sending positive vibes to whoever reading this! (from a new lyric youtuber haha)
the good days. Buying cd's and just listening to them and singing the wrong lyrics, because really who has time to look that bs up.
And it was in the metal section.
And without YOU, the world would be a much better place
I've had the ashes album for a while now, and I just recently started getting into this song! Don't know why i never liked it before, it's fucking sick!

They even have a little sludge or doom metal in the Album opener it's pretty cool
ABBA, all ABBA all the time.
the breakdown at the end is pretty sick
The anvil cracks the hammerrrr!
I listened to the 4 mins without noticing the writing like "Is there gonna be a Sick Guitar solo!?!?!"
@ishinpoo
It'll be the title track of this album, Ashes of the Wake.
Just enjoy the Metal guys..just enjoy.
I do love this band, but I do love even heavy stuff. Melodic death metal, and ya know.... Death metal. But this is by far my favorite band
Abslutely my favourite log song.
its ok 4 minutes of lamb of god will fully pay of 4 minutes of silence :D
INsanely awesome amazing song, but I have one question...
WTF is the point of the 5 kins of silence at the end of the song?????
This is the song that made me want to learn guitar.
amazing song
Poetic
the 4 mins is 4 peole who need 2 realize that their mind has just been blown
fucking sick song. Love the guitar and the vocals fit in perfect harmony. Not to mention the drummer is sick as fuck.
Plasma of the Guy Who Writes Stuff Down.
Lamb of God is metal-metal.
You know this is Groove Metal.
@Lamb00FGoD
They don't play it because it's not that popular.
Aside from the fact that this song has two independent guitar tracks, they could both just play the same thing anyways.
Damn I wish they still wrote songs this good. Ashes of the Wake was their peak.
only one venting anger is you my friend
@branieschopper If it's good music, it's good music. I'll listen to what i like to hear regardless of what other people categorize them as. so yeah man, cheers :D

Dude you might not like Blood of the Scribe, but listen to some other LoG songs, this lead singer hits just about every style you can think of, he's fantastic, just look at some more. Ashes of the wake, 11th Hour, Broken Hands, False Messiah, all fantastic songs.
may i be the first to wish you the best of luck with that opinion on this page ;)

Listen to some of Resolution, Randy does soften up a bit.
Naw it's either there by accident or to improve the quality like they use for the trailers =)
