They had Coca-Cola Life here a few years ago and one of the key differences was it was sweetened with stevia rather than sugar. I couldn't really taste a difference. Wish they still made it.
The Life sold in the UK at least still contained sugar, but it was about half as much as regular Coke. But yes, the remaining sweetness was made with Stevia. It was my favourite Coke at the time! I was sad when they stopped selling it.
yeah i had that and it tasted so extremely awful i threw it out, it depends on your genetics if stevia has a horrible aftertaste which is probably why it flopped.

Man I completely forgot about Coke Life! I use to LOVE Coke Life! They use to sell them in 6 packs, I use to get them from time to time, it was the only Coke I really liked.
High fructose corn syrup is the major sweetener in the Coca-Cola life. You'll actually see it in modern Coca-Cola as well. If you go to the grocery store and look in the Latino section you will find a Coca-Cola that is made with sugar and not high fructose corn syrup, I think it tastes a lot better. Love your videos!
Coca Cola Life was still made in 2018. My brother in law worked for Coke and brought some home. It’s actually really good and I wish they still made it.
I remember when Coca Cola Life came out and wanted to buy it, but I couldn't since I was a kid. Now that I'm an adult with my own income, Coca Cola life is gone.
Hey, this isn't the same thing, but I was at Walmart the other day, and they were selling this cola (and other flavors) with the brand name of "Zevia" sweetened with Stevia like Coca Cola Life... Maybe you can't have Coca Cola Life, but you could have that? Just a thought, at least it's available here in the southwest USA.
@@Channel7Tonight Coca Cola Life had sucralose with the stevia that gives it that real depth of sweetness missing from Zevia. If you put a sugar pack in one I think it would be pretty close.
Coke Life was so delicious. I avoided it forever because the green and lettering said "tea" to me, but was perfect and even tasted good when it was kinda flat.
I loved when i was at Epcot Center and there they have fountain soda's from around the world that you can drink as much as you want....there are some really odd flavors that's for sure!
You said the cola was from the 90's as if it were a long time ago. Was just yesterday. (Old foggies know what I mean.) All the best to all of you in 2024. 🌍🌎🌏
I still have a whole case of Coke Life in the glass bottles. did have a whole shrink wrapped case of Coke Life in the cans too but I think they eventually started to leak so tossed them out, another discontinued Coke product I saved from the mid 2000s was the Coca-Cola / Coffee drink called Coke Blak.
Dude, I found a Coca Cola from 1986 that actually tasted good. What is that sorcery? Every other Coca Cola I’ve had tasted old and musty. I’m super surprised😮
When I worked at a liquor store, the salesmen we're always aggressive at removing the out of code diet soda and diet Red Bull. One of them told me that the various acids in diet soda and diet Red Bull can cleave off the benzoate in the preservative sodium benzoate and produce benzene. I've always been meaning to ask a chemist about that. But it was something specific to all the ingredients together in the diet soda that produced it according to the salesman.
Absolute phooey from the salesmen, they just assume those working at the liquor store know nothing about chemistry so they do this as a fear tactic. Also, I doubt the FDA would allow edible products that produce benzene when out of code, especially when sodas are not use by but rather best by/best before.
I still remember the occasion I got the life coca-cola for the first time. It was a hot day in my city and I went to a bakery to buy some empanadas and a drink. I saw the coca-cola life in the fridge of the store "wow a new flavor!" I thought and it surprised me because we never get new flavors from any soda brand in my country and less from coca-cola. Bought it, get home and tried it. PUUUAHGG it was grim as hell. I threw it to the garbage and ate my empanadas with water. The product was so bad that still this day I remember it.

What's with the Rosie Odonnell thing? I wonder if that Coke bottle was a special giveaway for audience members at her show and maybe that's why the person from the estate sale kept it?
I have 3x limited edition old glass bottles of Coca Cola from 1994 that I bought that I could send you one of, (it might not make it to you intact from me in Australia but we could try?) I also have limited edition Coca Cola with Coffee in glass bottles too! Cola life is the only light produkt I have ever enjoyed! When i heard they discontinued it, I went to my local store and bought every bottle they had left
CocaCola Life is the only diet soda I have ever liked. It had Stevia instead of aspartame or anything I can’t eat. It also didn’t have a horrible aftertaste. Other artificial sugars freak me out. I wish they would start making this again.
