  • Don’t throw out those expensive headphones simply because the earpads have degraded! You can replace them yourself after ordering inexpensive replacement earpads online. Mark shows you how. For reference, the Sennheiser Earpad product code is 523310.

You make it look so complicated when actually is so easy!

A long video for what is a very short process needing only a flat blade. The old cushions will probably fall off when gently pulled, leaving the inner and outer rings behind in the cup. Pry the plastic retaining inner ring off with a flat blade. The outer ring will fall out but if it doesn't then use the flat blade to pry that one out as well.
My replacement pads did not need to have anything removed they just clipped directly in to the cups with very light pressure.

I figured it out halfway through watching your video. They *are* great headphones.

sadly the GEEKRIA fix kit does not include a replacement headband, which is as worn as the ears, and has an black foam "insert" for the in ear part of the cans, but it is incompetently done as well (it appears it just folds under the replacement can inner lip, but it has no way to stay there. Glue? LOL. Had a small hope here, you get what you pay for! Got about 3 years from these cans, they still work for the most part...

Good attempt - but this feels so dragging like listening to a 5 minute song with 4 minute intro :)

Yo THAAAANK you my god. I was wondering why my 380's sounded like dogshit after "replacing" the cups, turns out I'm an idiot and didn't see the thing that said "remove the plastic inner lining" now they have the same ol' deathgrip on my head like they always did and sound clean as ever. Thanks dude!

Thanks for the tutorial, and the answer to the question at the end of the video: Same thing I use for everything, Gorilla glue!

Thank you for this video. I looked on Amazon and can't find the SENNHEISER brand replacement earpads. However, I can find other aftermarket brands that say they'll do the job. Either way, I'll use your video again to do the replacement. That was handy BTW how you showed us how the jack slides out of place. Thanks for all the tips.

My bag didn't have that sticker that instructed to remove the clear plastic rings, thank you for the information. I just replaced the ear cushions and the headband padding and I replaced the cable about a year ago. I wonder how long they are going to keep stocking spare parts for these discontinued models with the new ownership and all.

Yup, mine didn’t either, so I first tried installing them with it on… Sure took a while, but finally figured out you just have to use enough force to push them in :-) Thanks for the vid!

Hello, great video. I'm interested in replacing the pads on my Sennheiser hd 380 pro. Can you please recommend an online store to purchase the replacement pads? Oh! I just heard you say "Amazon."

Demonstrating how being verbose can undermine a tutorial. Best to resist asides and make a long story short.
