The music video This is Euphoria is radically different from Ruslana's previous clips in that it attempts to raise awareness about the issue of lawlessness in Ukraine.
The events in the video take place in the near future in Ukraine where the liberty of each and every citizen hinges upon the corrupt judicial system. Ruslana is thrown into jail but she does not give up and breaks out thanks to her state of real Euphoria -- the life force and power of will that live inside every person.
The video was filmed inside a real jail at the Kyiv Fortress, which served as a political prison in the early 20th century.
Ruslana presented the video at a large press conference where she appeared in front of the journalists in handcuffs in support of the Pavlichenko family. The Pavlichenkos were imprisoned without sufficient evidence and their case is a hot topic in Ukraine and abroad.

It's been ten years since you rallied in support of the Orange Revolution and you continue to do so today. I was only 14 when I seen the Ukrainian Village painting the walls orange here in the states. I never knew what it meant but now I know and I too support the same values that you and our people are fighting for. For a pure and European Ukraine!
sadly America and EU has gotten power over Ukraine, freedom is no where to be seen yet for Ukraine. its sad! if Ukraine wants to be free it needs to reject EU and RUssia, but they didn't have a choice in the matter, in fact they have been pushed around and controlled without any say for a very long time. and by the looks of it, its no where near over.
we need to pray and stand up for Ukraine, that corrupt banks aka USA and EU, along with RUSSIA keep their shit covered noses out of UKRAINE!

Тільки но знов подивився цей кліп. І на тому моменті, коли Руслану б'ють кийками, а потім тягнуть в камеру,мені стало моторошно. Ось цей момент також міг стати правдою. Рік тому мені це не відчулось, а зараз відчулось.
У кліпі показано звичний сценарій покарання незручної людини. І суть в тому, що при нинішній, та й колишній владі, у в'язниці може опинитись будь-яка людина, винна в чомусь, чи ні. Прямо як з того анекдоту: "Я сидів, ти сидів. А он той не сидів. Давай і його посадимо"

A great version, but I very much prefer the Ukrainian version. I don't know which one is the original, but the Ukrainian version just sounds a lot better and has more meaning (the way she sings it in Ukrainian)..
***** I agree with your opinion that her voice sounds much better and more moving in the Ukrainian version than the English version. My guess would be that the Ukrainian version was first and if Ruslana does not know English very well, she might not "feel" it as well as a native tongue... and I also agree she still sounds great in this version too.
Steve Starr Thank you, Steve. You're right about that. There are millions of songs that simply sound superior in a different language than in English. I listen to a lot of foreign music nowadays because English music is the same and it's getting boring, and I can safely say that those songs are a thousand times better than if they had been sung in English. Besides, I love languages and learning them, so it's amazing when I can listen to that language.
***** I totally understand what you mean by the other languages but I was more about how this was different in emotional feel in the Ukrainian version. There are many English singing artists that do it very well... Adele has a lot of feeling in her singing and I will go to the Scorpions as a band that started singing in English before they knew English but they also improved to singing very emotional feeling songs that are incredible. Wind of Change comes to mind and another song I liked of theirs is called You an I. very emotional and feeling songs that they were able to do very well in English. I also would like to say that if Ruslana would be able to think in English she might do extremely well singing the English version. I am sorry for the book I wrote here but I do love music that is well done no matter what style it is. Love and Peace to All the World.
Steve Starr Don't worry, I understood what you meant. The emotion in the Ukrainian version is double the amount. One can really sense the passion in her voice in the Ukrainian one.
