Oh it controls the volume for each track, also I've mapped buttons to control high, mid low eq, also a filter and various Ableton fx, echo, bit crush, washout fx and lots more. I use the push 3 top 8 encoders for controlling synth parameters. You can do a lot with the launch control. Goes well with the push 3
