The problem with trying to find out where special went is he was a small creator (he deserved a lot more that what he got his videos were amazing) but to my research the last time he was active on any social media was right before Christmas 2023 and he said that he was returning soon. Along with finding that out I also found out that some of his friends that he recorded with sometimes are in/ graduated college so there is a possibility that he is just taking time off for school.(I just found out that he had basically a mix of burnout and school and having no free time so ig there’s your answer)

As a Pharah main, I have a few points to make abt this video 1. Pharah does NOT need a mercy backing them to be good at the game, as I don't even think I played with a Mercy on my team when I won three of my biggest tournaments as Pharah. 2. You never actually stated if she was useless in the video, you just ended by challenging some dude and not even speaking abt Pharah 3. IK this sounds dumb, but 10 hours is not enough time put into a game to get a good read on it, even if your playing for 10 hours straight. I appreciate the grind, but I think you have said yourself that you need to put in a lot of time to get a true perspective on it. Pharah as a character is more complex than meets the eye, and after this experience, I think you found that true. Something you did in your video to get to Grandmaster was make sure you ALWAYS had a Mercy on your team, which completely ruined the point of the challenge. I won't deny that Mercy makes Pharah OP, but in my opinion, someone who is able to master or even just play well without cheat codes like that are the true Pharah mains, not the one's who sit in place with a Mercy behind them and hope to land their beefed up rockets. This was in no way meant to be a hate comment or anything, I just wanted to provide the point of someone who has spent countless hours practicing and mastering Pharah for himself and bring some constructive criticism to the table. Pharah's problem is that she's too dependent on Mercy. Zen and LW might have an easier time keeping her alive compared to other Supports, but it's not the same as having a Mercy pocket. She's probably the only hero who needs a specific character on the team to play to her full potential.
Though if you know how to play her right you wont need a mercy comming from a phara enjoyer. I can play relatively succesfully without any mercy but its deffinently easier and you will be stronger with one.

As a balancing moira main i can confidently say moira is one of the best matchups against pharah because her attack can hit as long as the crosshair is near and can dodge easy
Funnily enough, I play pharah as if she cannot fly when there is hitscan or if there’s a lack of cover where I’m flying, and it tends to lead to some decent results tbh

I wish I could enjoy phara. But when I think of a mobility hero, I think of rocket jumpingand dive bombing; not hovering in the air spamming the ground for splash damage. If anyone is familiar with Roaming soldier (tf2), that's the kind of hero I want. Direct hits, air shots, syncing rockets by using your jetpack. I'd be fine with having a jetpack boost but the flying has to go. It's not fun to play as or fight against.

I found Ashe to be a perfect for me against Pharah. Because Pharah’s head hitbox is huge and doesn’t have her own sustain, You can just do a quick follow-up before Mercy could heal her to full. I remember the enemy team would play double flyer + a mercy pocket. It was super easy, especially since we would have an Illari as well.
Concussion blast has only ever been useful to me ONE TIME, all but one enemy was in zarya's ult with a hanzo ult on the way so I booped them into the ult killing them... It has never been useful since that one time a few weeks ago

Double hit scan isn't terrible to go up against as long as you have the tank/ accompanying DPS for it. They need to both be able to dive and get attention pulled out of the skies. And you'll need a pocket Mercy. Other than that I can do nothing for you
The funny thing is, pharah is only useless if the player is useless. She is undeniably one of the best heroes for kill potential if played correctly, as proved by YZNSA in the world cup. It isnt that a pharah needs mercy, its that a bad pharah needs mercy. Position correctly (just like any other hero) and pharah is insane, its just that to position correctly, it takes more skill and concentration than other heroes do due to the fly peaking and finding cover thats advantageous that high up while still landing slow projectiles

You can’t miss your shots, and you can’t run out of jets ever, you need to know when to pull back and when to attack. Again don’t miss your shots. Did I mention not missing…. One last time - don’t miss and you will be effective.
