No state of hightened perception is permanent. And when it shakes off one suddenly realizes that hunger, pain, need and want are still here. And any idea, which at the time sounds incredibly clear and profound, becomes just the most simple of truths that are incapable to change the world we live in.

sounds kind of sad, but I think that’s what life is just simple truth and although I haven’t experienced this heightened perception yet I feel like an understanding of this simple truth even subconsciously in people’s minds is apparent. but maybe we don’t who knows, like huxley said there’s different realities,, I’m sure it brings alternative perspectives.

@@KiaraaVelez He probably meant just that by "different realities" - that not everyone sees one and the same object or subject in the same way, basically. The real trouble is in the fact that seeing and understanding these parallels of perception doesn't change the fact that they are formed by, again, needs and wants of the individuals, who's agenda depends on a certain type of perception. *So, basically, for example, we can understand, say, Buffalo Bill, we can dig into his history and realize why he is a serial killer who skins young women for his own "lady suit", but does that change the fact that we have to stop him ? By force, if necessary ? That he will continue on doing what he is doing unless stopped ? Absolutely doesn't change this.*
It IS sad. Incredibly sad. But that is the whole strenght and curse of the human mind - we have enough conciousness to realize such things... and learn to live with them.
I'm a regular w**d-smoker. And lemme tell you - it helps realize (more like remind you) simple truths... as well as helps you see the world in a somewhat clearer light, devoid of our own troubles and stresses, dreams and premonitions... But at the end of the day I still have to go out there and do the stuff I don't want to do and see the horror that I never signed up for while being in my mother's womb.
Only good for recreation. Will never solve anything in the end. Even if the entire world, like Bill Hicks joked, gets mandatory weed, with everyone being constantly mellow and stuff... Someone still wants more for himself and less for everyone else, someone still wants something someone else has, etc. etc. etc.
Understanding a cockroach doesn't mean you are not going to squash it at the end of the day.

Life is not that simple and single-layered. Many things realised in altered states seem useless afterwards but that`s because the mental layer that has dictated our every-day-life can find no conscious use for it. Fact is, it`s like dreaming; it may not seem important after, but it has a role. We can see this when we look at the latest studies into micro-dosing. Altered states, including those created by prayer and hypnosis, have been re-evaluated and re-integrated into the psychotherapeutic communities.

“population pressures… upon resources” is not the same as simple “population”. I pray your other thoughts in your daily life stop to include the wider context, and you’re not one of those who seizes upon convenient sound bites to render an entire opinion from.
