Yeah, after the experience, the things you realised while you were under the influence are not has clear after the trip, but you still have experienced these things and you learned from them. It still is a concret experience and that's the only way to learn; the more you do something or think about something the more you understand it. And these medecine don't juste show you the way, they also heal and purify you.

I Did a whole hell of alot of the yogi medicine a few years back and at first I said to myself " this is enlightenment " but I started to get the hint that no , it is merely a glimpse of what you could attain. I dont know what the infinite loop stuck in God mind as an ego part of the trip was but the ego is extremely afraid of the infinite , I saw the future and past simultaneously and my ego really didnt like the fact it was seeing its body dying over and over but rebirthing over and over with no end. That's the suffering of humanity , ending that suffering through the skillful means of many different teachers and ideologies is the only way to attain peace - that is the ending of suffering - when suffering is peace. It's all peace , it's all love. Dont take psychedelics for enlightenment purposes unless you've got very little time left in this physical place , that's the only time I see psychedelic use as a vehicle to enlightenment being a positive instead of just another obstacle on your path.
I think psychedelic research will help us systematize a path to enlightenment with the use of psychedelics. We are learning so much more about them now. ***** Well ego, or not. You do always have energy flowing through you. Tiny particles that pass right through your body all the time, and light that flows right into your dilated eyes. Basically, maybe you weren't given a temporary gift that allowed you to do these things, but rather you were able to experience more vividly something that always happens, constantly, and is never NOT happening. I feel like psychedelics can often give us glimpses of the reality that is always there and around us. Take pattern recognition on lsd for example. Say you see some interesting relations in the design of tree branches. When tripping, you see their recurring properties more easily. You see the 'fractal nature', if you will, of the branches. It's not that the branches themselves changed. Your perspective changed. You decided to take have a look from a different angle. But here's the thing, just because you go back to your normal perspective, does not change what it is. That tree was fractal by nature before you noticed it was and will be long after. So in the same way, trying to get back to a place that you are already in constantly, and can never not be a part of, seems silly, yeah? I don't mean to be rude or anything. I think he's talking about how as you progress you become increasingly aware of your energy field and the places where it is out of balance. Repeatedly using psychedelics to force yourself into states of consciousness that you're essentially not ready for yet can have violent effects on the Astral body. It's like many other things such as eating meat... you don't really realize the impact it has on you until you cultivate that deeper awareness.

I completely understand you because I've been going through it for at least a year. I tripped on shrooms yesterday... only 2 grams. Small for my usual but enough to get rid of my ego and have a conversation with this god or universe. If you believe you see the knowing, then you also must know that this is apart of it. We can't and shouldnt know everything because then what is the point of living? Living is to not know. to figure out. to seek. to try and understand with the limit of self. this is apart of it right? you think the universe if it is conscious in someway, wouldnt show you more than you need to know? The one thing I learned from all my heroic doses... all my ego deaths... all my painful and blissful experiences... is we all just need to let go. It's very hard to fix your lows from a low ego perspective. Trans-egoic illumination through psychedelics allows for the inner therapist to view and resolve the lows from a "high" place. It would've been interesting to get Ram Dass' take on the 5MEO-DMT (The God Molecule) experience.

Ayahuasca is pretty much DMT, but how I like to think of it is ayahuasca is the natural grounded side and DMT is the stronger extracted kind (DMT is extracted from the same plants ayahuasca can be found in) but 5-Meo-Dmt is even stronger then DMT or ayahuasca. Just different not better nor worse you dont need them just want.

I've never tried LSD but the reseach on it seems to oppose your argument. Malevolent spirit roam about everywhere deceiving everyone's experience whether on LSD, on another drug or even just sober.

If you haven’t had at least 50 deep spiritual experiences with psychedelics, then you’re automatically disqualified on speaking on what it can or cannot do as it pertains to enlightenment. Minimum of 50 carefully concentrated experiences with the intent for spiritual practice is what’s required. The reason why I use that number is because with that much experience, you know what is possible from direct experience and you’re not just talking out of your bum hole.

You need to earn your enlightenment. Psychedelics for such purposes are a cheap shortcut, and it wears off. And quite frankly, those who achieve that kind of "enlightenment" deserve the easy loss of it.

Does anyone understand what Ram Dass meant by the psychic affects on his medulla that made his work slower and harder at the advance level? And what is he referring to when speaking about "advance level work"?
I think he's talking about how as you progress you become increasingly aware of your energy field and the places where it is out of balance. Repeatedly using psychedelics to force yourself into states of consciousness that you're essentially not ready for yet can have violent effects on the Astral body. It's like many other things such as eating meat... you don't really realize the impact it has on you until you cultivate that deeper awareness.

I completely understand you because I've been going through it for at least a year. I tripped on shrooms yesterday... only 2 grams. Small for my usual but enough to get rid of my ego and have a conversation with this god or universe. If you believe you see the knowing, then you also must know that this is apart of it. Minimum of 50 carefully concentrated experiences with the intent for spiritual practice is what’s required. The reason why I use that number is because with that much experience, you know what is possible from direct experience and you’re not just talking out of your bum hole.

You need to earn your enlightenment. Psychedelics for such purposes are a cheap shortcut, and it wears off. And quite frankly, those who achieve that kind of "enlightenment" deserve the easy loss of it.
