- A locally produced documentary on Brad Delp of the band Boston and his New England renowned band " Beatle Juice " . The video contains insight from local musicians, friends, fiance' and his childrens former music teachers. Performances included were recorded at Salem High School's Seifert Auditorium in Salem, NH in the mid 90's.

Brad was such a nice and humble man ... very giving. I lost my daughter to a brain tumor in 2000 and Brad and Beatlejuice played for a fund raiser in her memory. I just remember how generous he was ...
my condolences, man what a devastating loss. I had an English professor who was also a fairly decent jazz pianist, and through all that we became friends. I would jam with him when he would go through exercises to enable him to change keys easier and quicker, and effortlessly.
It's, apparently much less difficult to "play through," all 12 keys on a guitar than it is for a pianist. He'd look over and scowl and go, "How are doing that?"
Anyway we became friends playing together, you know, like music tends to do.
Then, one awful day, be got diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. Within weeks, he was gone. It was horrible enough to lose a friend, to lose a child like that is a truly evil thing. I can only empathize in a small way, but the pain of the loss is ours in common. My prayers are with y'all. "Let the music play..." Rick☆
Back in 1978, I had the opportunity to meet Brad in Knoxville, Tennessee. Boston was touring the "Don't Look Back" album with special guest Sammy Hagar. A friend & I had taken a cab to the show, and decided to call another from the Hyatt Regency, which is just up the hill from the Civic Coliseum. As we waited for the cab, a stretch limo pulls up, and Brad exits with a woman I assumed to be his wife or girlfriend. We said, "Great show, Brad" What does he do? He just walked up to us smiling as if we were old friends. He waited with us and talked until our cab arrived. A truly genuine and humble man who truly appreciated his fans. I only wish I could have been there for him in his darkest hour. RIP Brad Delp. You will never be forgotten.

SMH. I try to relate a simple true story from long ago, and what happens? Two people hijack it, one with with their religious views, and the other with their agnostic denials. No wonder so many people give up on living.
No problem Ronaldo. And I get where you are coming from. However, people inadvertently challenging each other rather than accepting one another is a big reason why so many are frustrated and giving up on life. Like Brad Delp maybe.If you wish to challenge a person's views, have the courage to do it face to face. What you and he are doing? It just lessens both of you.
Top 5 vocalist of all time and by all accounts a great guy. Depression doesn't care, but I do. RIP Mr. Delp.
Notice that he sings lead on every song, regardless of which of the 4 beatles did originally? That's how good a singer Brad Delp was.
I worked on the crew of Beatle Juice and was working during this show. Brad was a great guy. He always was a pleasure to work with. He is dearly missed. The guys in this band are amazing people and I am glad to have had several years working with them.
His voice was a big part of the sound track of my life.
Brad was a friend since Jr. High School, and his favorite music was always The Beatles. He carried his love of their music into his adult life, and played it whenever he got the chance. Brad was a kind and thoughtful person with a great voice and a big heart.

It's a shame more people haven't seen this video what's amazing is that everybody in the video is talking about how wonderful of a man Brad Delp was I met Brad Delp back in 1995 at a Beetlejuice Gig it was an employee appreciation picnic for Sabian cymbals. It was after one of their sets he was just hanging out like a regular guy and I actually just got to walk right up to him and start talking with him and it's true he really was one of the sweetest most humble beautiful human beings to ever walk the face of the earth we talked about Boston about the Beatles about music in general and he made me feel like if I had known him for another hour we would have been buddies of course growing up as a kid I was a huge fan of Boston and thought that Brads voice was one of the most incredible voices I've ever heard even to this day there arent many vocalists in his league. Anyway I will always hold that day dear in my heart the day that I made friends with Brad Delp

I had the pleasure of working for Brad, Tommy, Sib, Fran and the boys back in the summers of 1975-1977 when I was 17-19 years old.
They were about to break it huge in 76' with their debut album. Me & a couple of my friends had already worked for the Cars, Aerosmith, and The J. Geils Band at a recording studio off of Rindge Ave. and Rte.2 in Cambridge, Ma. called The Music Complex. It was run by a guy we called "Fat Jack," and he would get us jobs carrying and setting up the band's equipment in the studio. Aerosmith I had already known for awhile because some of the guys used to hang out with some guys I already knew. Plus, my mom used to work in East Cambridge with Joe Perry's dad when I was young. I still know Tyler, Perry and Whitford to this day. No more contact with Ric or any of the Cars, but I still see Peter Wolf, Seth Justman, and Stephen Jo Bladd (who can't drum anymore because his lower back is so bad). Anyway, everything everybody is saying about Brad is so completely true! As great a singer as Brad was, he was an even BETTER person. If you can possibly imagine that...He truly was a better man than he was a singer. If Brad Delp was anything, he was a true gentleman.The smile he gave you when he greeted you, was absolutely genuine. He loved people. Just loved them. I'll never forget the first time my friends and I heard that amazing voice of his. We were in the Complex, and had just finished setting up the big "M" which was a massive box that Tom kept his huge computer in that gave him those incredible Gibson Les Paul an SG sounds. Anyway, the band was hooking up and plugging in when out of nowhere we heard this awesome belt of a voice singing in the key of 'D".
Everybody just stopped what they were doing, looked at each others mouths hanging open, and then... NOTHING!
We all waited for the next note to come belting out, but that was it. You just had to wait until they began to record. As young guys just wanting to hang around the "rock stars " we never got paid. But that was just fine with us. The way we looked at it, we helped them out, and they let us in on their music, and they gave us insight into their world. It was definitely a fair trade. Don't get me wrong, they were all great guys to us, but Bradley Delp was something very, very special. We didn't speak all that much, (I mean, they were there to work), but I know Brad liked talking to me as much as I loved talking to him. The reason for that was easy to figure out in just one word. "BEATLES" Everything you're listening to about Mr. Delp and the Beatles, Paul McCartney in particular, is 100% accurate. Other than myself, he is probably the biggest Beatles/McCartney fan out there. So there you have it folks! Brad Delp had Boston. Boston had Brad Delp. Sometimes I wonder if Beatlejuice was Brad's biggest love. Even over "Boston." You want to know what I think? I think that Brad is finally playing that left-handed Hofner bass. Singing into one microphone. He is now part of the two-headed monster. He and John Lennon. Brad on the Hofner, John on his Rickenbacker 325 Capri with the famous red neck. The two of them singing together. Finally, George brings up the rear, and the three of them begin to belt out, in three part harmony, "This Boy." The crowd goes crazy. Yes the crowd goes wild, and Brad Delp is finally happy. That's right. Brad Delp is finally at peace within himself...

Thanks for the personal insights. Yes, he was a big Beatle fan probably because they had great melodies and harmonies which Boston had to! It doesn’t surprise me one bit that he loved to sing Beatles songs.
And that final idea about him singing next to Lennon and Harrison, I honestly hope your right. That would be fitting and a beautiful afterlife! Just perfect! 👏🏻🎸😎

I have always loved Brad Delp. I've always loved his voice, I could sit for hours (and literately have done so) and listen to this man sing!! I have every Boston CD that they ever put out!! His talent as a musician is completely phenomenal!!!! Every time he sings and hits those High notes it just blows me away, I think to myself, Wow, how does he do that? Brad always made it seem so easy to hit those high notes and I suppose for him, it was, with a God given talented golden voice like that!! There will never be another Brad Delp, no matter how hard you try, where you look, or where you go in this world..you'll never find anyone else like him!! The world lost the greatest musician, the greatest talent, but we also lost the greatest human being ever!! RIP Brad, I will always remember you with loving memories and a special place in my heart!!! I miss you like crazy )" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I've listened to Boston Live......I like Brad but he can't hit the high notes half the time.....ROGER DALTREY had MUCH better range and many other singers.

Brad sounds so amazing singing these Beatle's songs. I can't get over how easy he makes it look. You don't typically hear the depth of tone in a singer with the range that Brad has. Amazing how he sings all four of the Beatle's voices. I like Beatlejuice music as much or more than I like Boston. Perhaps Brad did too!
This drummer is a madman!!!!! Excellent! I came here for the vocals, like most of us. But man! This band is just over-the-top good. Every nuance. So utterly true to the recordings. It’s staggering.
What a voice eh? My friend is a record producer and Brad came to his very humble studio one day in the 90's to lay down vocals for a mutual friend's record. I was up there listening to the Brad's tracks a while after - I got chills when the second and third harmonies started in - those harmonies defined the sound of a whole era in rock music - It felt like church to me.
I was meeting my future wife in Daytona and remember waking up to this news...
I'll never forget.
I play a solo for a living to this day. And Brad had a great influence.

It's so difficult to see a guy with such a kind and gentle public persona, had such pain and agony in his personal life take his own life. Especially with children to leave behind.

I only wish the joy he created could have returned to him and fixed his broken heart. Brad and later Robin Williams are two losses that still crush me.
His vocal timing and inflections are near perfect to go along with that amazing voice. Technical skill is one aspect but his sensitivity comes through in his voice.

It's so sad to think that a man who brought so much love and joy out of every single person he met, not to mention those of us who got such extreme joy out of his music, would feel the need to depart from us all. It's never good news to hear about somebody taking their own life, but it's even worse when it's a person with a heart of gold.
He committed suicide because he was caught trying to video tape his girl friends younger sister with hidden cameras......Brad was a peeper!!

I feel so blessed to have personally known him as a friend in 1975. He was one of the nicest people and soooo much fun to hang out with.
OMG thank you soooo much for sharing..... I saw Brad at a Boston concert, he walked out before the show to check something, I recognized him and yelled "BRRRAAAADD!!!" he stopped in his tracks, looked up in the crowd, pointed at me and gave me a smile, and a huge wave.... I was 17, and a HUGE Boston Fan. I felt so touched. I cried the day I heard the news. I'm still so sad to this day.

Lately I keep thinking about Brad every day, it seems. He’s just on my mind. A kind soul and I miss him as if I knew him personally. Strange phenomenon. The magic is in his eyes. They tell a tale even his gorgeous voice couldn’t fully tell. He is missed.

Very well put together and I have the same sentiments of each of the people who were interviewed. For anyone who had the pleasure of seeing any of the Beatlejuice shows knows that they "nailed" the sound in each of the songs the covered. You could close your eyes and swear the Beatles were right there in front of you. Perhaps this was Brad's greatest gift and his undoing
well put....this blew me away also when I found this. Boston was always my favorite, and had no idea Beatle Juice existed. Just my opinion, but I feel great depression came in to play at some point, and generally speaking...unless you have personally been through depression, you will never understand when these things happen. It's so so sad, but depression is some bad bad stuff.

I have watched the individual videos from this performance but never came across this one... THANK YOU.... as of this writing Brad has been gone for just over 14 years. Brad was a friend and is missed every day.

Man..these guys were a tight band. I got to meet Brad and the rest of Boston in 1979 at my college (JMU in Harrisonburg). Our fraternity (TKE) was working security and acting as ushers. We got to watch the concert from in front of the stage and meeting them backstage. So sad that Brad reached a point where he felt he couldn't go on. Too tragic.

I had no idea Brad Delp was such a huge Beatles fan, forming his own tribute bad although this is all in his Wiki biography. They really couldn't be more different to Boston but hey, I like him so much more because of this. RIP Brad - hope you're now jamming with John and George.....

I knew Brad. He lived in Danvers,Ma. And I lived in the next town over, Beverly. We were both in bands .,but every was back then. He was a Beatles fanatic. You couldn't find a nicer guy than Brad. I was crushed when I lost we him.
Brad was in it for the music and the love and joy he created with it.
Interesting, the song he 'covered; by the Beatles, "You Can't See Me" I had heard 1,000 times by the Beatles and even by Paul McCartney LIVE but I never actually heard its lyrics and got its message until now (listening to Brad's version on TH-cam).
I think that is very telling about Brad's spirit~:)
The 2 most famous Beatles (John and Paul) practiced the least humility in their actual lives... Ringo, the most under-rated Beatle... actually wrote the most beautiful tribute to George when he died and was probably the most down to Earth of the 4. REAL MEN actually LIVE the music and lyrics they sing... as much as I love the Beatles, I'd say Brad was much better at that until his end.
Perhaps he became just so damned disillusioned by all the false prophets, heroes, and hypocrites in the world that he decided to check out of it.
To say that he "allowed himself to be demoted" playing music that he loved with passion tells me that you entirely miss the point of Brad, of the Beatles, of music, of Life....

If there was anyone in rock and roll I would have loved to have met, it surely would have been Brad. The only true voice and vocals behind the band Boston, always projecting a pleasing and powerful vibe in his singing. His awesome personality was evident, even from the furthest seat at the venue. From Boston to BeatleJuice to RTZ, I still very much enjoy all he did.

I am just a Fan of Music I have gotten to go to almost 700 concerts Live is Best! I was in my hometown 2. Hours east of Dallas Tx I found out in 1992 I believe RTZ was playing there I could not find anyone to go with me they Really didn’t know to much about RTZ I drive to this Hard Rock Big Night club I was one of maybe 2 people that wasn’t dressed Black leather but I could Rock with the Best of them I had a table right up front RTZ was original members of Boston Barry Goudreau Brad Delp Drummer Sib who wasn’t with them I was So Blown Away as a Huge Boston Fan RTZ”s Songs were Great and finished with Long Time and Let Me Take You Home tonight I Loved It! after show I had gone to bar get a beer 2 Really Pretty Girls came in all dressed Country I started talking we were minorities but they joined me at my table the Bass Player comes out and asked him to join us He was So Cool he asked if we wanted to go on tour bus and drink a beer meet Band we followed in first met Barry Goudreau Nice Guy got autograph and then we went to living area and were drinking beers then Brad Delp come back and set right across from me and I was Wow telling him how Friends and me would put 8 track tape of first 2 Albums and ride way out just to listen loud and I was so hyped I am not sure the 2 Pretty Girls knew where and who is in the room I said the Legendary Brad He was So Kind So attentive and Humble and One of the Most appreciative Person I had met me as someone who was like a Hero I remembered how he was considered as The Nicest Guy in Rock! The Song a Man I’ll Never Be is my Favorite Song that I feel the meaning around it I have since met some Really Big Rock Stars that were very Laid back and real I had made Good Friends with a Very known custom Guitar Builder and he has taken me to meet and hangout with Vivian Campbell spent a couple hours laughing and just Happy I am all about live Music Especially Rock I I have so many pictures with Rock Stars that night there were no wireless phones and I didn’t carry around a camera when the 3 of us left I could not have been so Happy well there is my wife and Daughter I was Heartbroken when I found out that he had died I will Never really consider RRHOF is a Real Rock show place for Legendary Rock Bands it seems to be what a Extension of Rolling Stones Mag and only what they decide but The Greatest Rock Bands Musicians that should have been inducted years ago well they gave their Lives and Talents to everyone and how incredibly hard they worked to get recognition and before they can enjoy they grow old and die I have no respect for the organization that chooses and picks amongst them selves and treat it as a Game Boston Styx Foreigner and So many that achieved so much admiration by Fans I know these magazines and people that are Very Very Jealous of how Popular they are and still are 50 years together Brad Delp would have been a Huge Ambassador for the Music industry Shame on them for being Prejudiced I hold my Cherished meeting and hanging out with one of The Greatest Vocalist Ever! I feel so lucky to have seen him perform with Boston once at the Los Angeles Forum; and years later again, at the Universal Amphitheatre. RIP

Growing up in Concord in the 70s and 80s, I wish I knew Brad Delp lived in freaking Salem. All I knew at that time was that without him, Boston's sound would have been totally different. Those soaring vocals could bring me to tears.

i love watching videos of brad delp, and seeing so many people in the comments talk about knowing him personally. it really shows what kind of a person brad was, and keeps his legacy alive
What a wonderful talent and a sweet man. Sadly, way too many people, with such caring hearts, can't take it in today's cruel ass world. Almost like someone with no skin, they experience everything 100 fold and have no protection and because they have no skin, every nerve in their body feels everything amplified.
Not sure if what I'm trying to say makes any sense and I can't quite articulate it properly. But Brad seemed to be a great friend to others and never realized how many people he actually touched though his music. I know a lot has been said about the stress and bitterness of fighting with Tom Scholz, (a defamation case brought on by Scholz against Brad's ex-wife and the Boston Herald was ruled against Scholz after a 5-Year battle, January/2016).
I really think it went a lot deeper than that. But the results are still the same. Brad had one of the most distinctive voices in Rock & Roll history, that if he had wanted to, he certainly could have been in the "Spotlight" fronting another band or even as a solo artist during Boston's heyday and during the years of waiting for another album to be released. But he wasn't motivated by fame, money, glory or any of that stuff.
He was just a guy that was blessed beyond measure, that just wanted to sing. And I think God, he left behind some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.
I wish his family and friends and fans that he left behind, nothing but "Peace, Joy & Happiness" and pray that his foundation can help others so no one ever feels like their life isn't worth living.

It seems clear you don't know why Delp killed himself. Delp was allowing a platonic female acquaintance to sublet a room in his house for a couple years, when she discovered that he had wired her bedroom with video cameras and was spying on her the whole time as she undressed and lived a very private part of her life. It was when he was confronted by her and a friend with the evidence that he gassed himself, rather than face the public humiliation for what he did. This guy was no saint !

BRAD'S SUICIDE WAS UNEXPECTED AND A GREAT SHOCK TO ALL THAT KNEW N LOVED HIM. ITS VERY SAD AS WAS BRAD AT THE TIME OF HUS DEATH, BRAD HAD BEEN VERY DEPRESSED AND IN A VERY DARK PLACE. actually the story about the hidden camera on Meg Sullivan is true. and has been released in news for some time. Doesnt take away from his talent.

scottiemcnichols It seems clear you got no respect to dead person. I know that he set the camera in his fiancee's sister's room. But what is so humiliating about it? What does it gotta do with public? It's all fine as long as he apologized and she forgave brad or him punished by law. It's none of our business.
I know it is gross and sick that he watched his fiancee's sis and also it is kind of crime as well. But It's all personal matter.
He couldn't handle it cause of depression and It's probarbly hard for himself to accept that he made a very wrong mistake since he was such a nice guy through whole life.
great artists feel the world more intensively, all the sorrows joys. Sometimes it's too much.
