I had almost the exact same issue happen during my cut. Wandered into the front air chamber with the cut. I filled the gap with thickened epoxy and laid fiberglass tape on the inside all along the cut. Under the paint it's barely visible.
I think I came into this late... why are you cutting the boat in half. I went to the CLC website, but didn't get any clarification. I built a CLC Jimmy Skiff for my neighbor a number of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a great project to do with a friend.! Nice Job BTW!
Hi, this is the Passagemaker "Take Apart" version. The front 1/3 is meant to be able to come off to make it more compact and easier to store and move around. It seemed a good idea when I ordered the kit, not so sure now. Thanks for watching!
