I agree the new ZO6 not only sounds like a Monster but it also performs like a monster. This is so much car for a normal Civilian LOL. American automotive has been really Pushing the envelope lately. Even the Europeans which have been very critical of our vehicles in the past have been complementing us. We’ve really been razing the bar in the last couple of years. These are definitely the best years to be a car enthusiast.

I got to drive one of these as a surprise on my 40th birthday on a ridiculously curvy, swoopy race track with hills and blind corners on it too. I was on the track with all brand new Lamborghini Huracans (which I watched a guy spin one into the wall backwards!), Ferrari 458s, Porsche GT3s, a V10 Audi R8, and a GTR. I drove a yellow automatic 2016 Zo6, and THAT is one HELL of an automobile!! It's SO powerful, and SO good, it's just unbelievable that it's a road car and not a race car. I've driven all kinds of sports cars in my life, but that Vette is like nothing else, man. The front end lifts and you get pinned in the seat when you're taking off. It's like a missile in a straight line. It goes through any curve with 0 drama or sound like it's on rails. Awesome feeling steering and brakes that feel like a passenger car through the peddle, but will pull your eyeballs out of their sockets whenever you get down on them. God it's good. Completely docile and almost drives like a 4 cylinder Accord when you're just putting around in it normally, but when you start to get on it, you can tell you're riding in a BEAST of a terrifyingly fast car. It'll do all you want it to and still have plenty left to give you. Probably the most exciting day of my life. I might have even had to double up on my heart meds that day, but you couldn't have knocked the smile off my face with a baseball bat :D If you ever get the chance, you've GOTTA drive one! It's that good.

The 2016 Z06 is one of the best super cars on the planet. I've upgraded mine to close to 1000 RWHP & nothing can keep up with it, no horses, no bulls, no rice jobs...Best Vette/car I've owned and I've owned over 25 in 35 years. Easy to mod with plenty of parts.

I own a '14 C7 coupe and, like any car, a simple mirror adjustment negates any blind spots. This is the simplest thing I learned for driving in traffic; shoulder checking becomes unnecessary and I would say is dangerous in any car as your eyes leave the road ahead of you. Love that red.

yeah no. buy a 2016 gt 25k or so, procharge it (7k) and just like that youre faster than a brand new z06. if "bang for your buck" is what youre looking for there are ALOT cheaper ways to get it.

WhatIWant I have seen plenty of z06s around and have owned 2 different generations of them. They are not supercars. I should probably have been more clear. A supercar is the whole package not just stats. It has to have performance, exclusivity, high tech construction, fine materials, and prestige. The corvette has supercar like performance but lacks everywhere else.
please don't take this the wrong way but electric cars are the future the tesla is cool but nothing will ever compare to an internal combustion engines which now are king of cars even when electric vehicle take over they will never be as visceral as a gasoline engine

I have a 16 ZO6 automatic is a beast! My everyday driver. I love it! I had a 01 ZO6 6 speed the only way they came + a Billy boat exhaust a 1986 automatic a 73 350 (stroker motor) w/ four-speed & my new 2016 8-speed automatic will destroy them! I love all the Corvettes and if you've never had a Z06 you should experience the difference! This is my fourth Corvette a long with a lot of trans ams , Camaro SS slps, a built 500hp Buick Grand national just too many to list now at 59 years old the c7 ZO6 is awesome!
I don't know how I feel about this new Racing Yellow. Looks like a feminine cream lemon yellow. Velocity Yellow was amazing, don't know why they would get rid of it for this.

I just drove a manual z06, its so cramp. I'm 6'1 210 an bearly had enough room to heel and toe. The back bumper squeaked like a rubber ducky too, but other then that I never heard or felt that much power in my life... BTW the 2016 Silverado z71 is also amazing.
One thing no one can ever take from this generation of Z06 is that it sounds like a monster coming to eat your whole family, right out of the factory.

The plus of the Z06 over the GTR is the manual transmission.
Don’t drive a Z06 if you want a Grand Sport. It’s hard to give up all that horsepower once you have experienced it. Z06 is the only way to go.
