Good video. Lived in Germany for over 10 years, I can answer the issue about remote start. It is not offered on these German made vehicles due to the laws in Germany. It is illegal to start and or have a vehicle idle with no driver.
Thanks for this video. Very enjoyable. I picked up my brand-new Macan S just a month ago and I am mind blown by it! You've absolutely nailed it with your comments on the PDK transmission. I just can't see how this car would be as awesome without it. Beyond that, it really is unlike any other SUV I test drove or have driven, and I really do think it's worthy of the badge :)
Porsche wasn't a brand I ever considered for a SUV, but after many weeks of research, comparisons and test drives of all the competitors Macan is my overall choice. I'm going to keep my eye open for a slightly used one or lease return to avoid the immediate depreciation "tax."
Around the same time as you I bought a 2017 beautiful gold base with just about every option ticked. I’m overall really happy with this car. It’s got a few issues but overall such a great value!
2017 & 2016 Macan S. And 2010 GT ragtop. 2016 had Nav. Installed CarPlay on 2017. Easy and not to much $$. Really enjoy both cars. Both easy to maintain and fun to drive.
@@RubberChickenMan007 Yup! I have meticulous dealer service records from the previous owner. Thats one reason I bought the car. I also had the PDK serviced 1500 miles prior to it letting go.
Great video! Looking for the same here in 2024. This is essentially the exact one I'm looking for.. how many miles? Well priced? Any issues you've noticed?
Hey thanks for the video, please share a link of how to jailbreak the macan PCM to add Apple car play and Android Auto OR details of the Software update, thanks!

Oil changes at the dealership are around $200-$300. However independent Euro shops are closer to $100-$150 for me. You can do it yourself pretty easily. Tire rotations can be done just about anywhere. Average cost for me for other vehicles has been $20-$50
Oil changes range from $80-$150 at independent shops in my area. Also please be aware that Macan rear tires are Wider than the front (for better stability). Therefore, you can rotate tires left-to-right, but Not front-to-back. This can lead to Macan tires wearing slightly faster than other vehicle tires that are rotated front to back. . . especially if you drive "aggressively" . 😁
First time viewer, so I'm not certain about your typical content. I will say, clean your car before you shoot it? The seat adjustments... just gross man. Advise, I have a Macan S 2020, and I bought a $150 adapter that plugs into the USB port and gives my car android auto. Reliable, simplistic & wireless. I'd check it out.
I, for one, understand the statement of a "porsche product", so I purchased the macan s because the base model has a vw engine. The Macan S was built by porsche.
@@genodm They don't share a platform, the macan is still on the obsolete last gen Q5 platform circa 2008. Trying ditching your newer and better 2022 Q5 for one from 2008 and they'll feel much more similar.

Definitely the smart way to enter the Porsche brand experience...beautiful 👌

Outstanding video! It's been on my radar for the last few months and now I'm pretty much decided that I want to get a Macan S. 🤘

Time for a Cobb tune now
I had a 2017 Macan as well. It is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. I agree regarding the phone, carplay and android auto.
Great vehicle
Since you had the Macan S, have you ran into any issues/maintenance you had to do? If so was the bill costly?
You are driving. You don't need access to your phone.
But I get that it's a bother for longer drives to have your phone on you.
Picked up a 2015 S with 75k miles about 2 months ago. The PDK just went and the replacement is $15,000! 3rd party warranty will only pay $5000.
15k is insane dude. Also how’d you manage to break the pdk?
Also only 75k miles and the pdk already giving issues? Man with 15k I might as well just buy a new car.
Omg that's too new for that serious of a problem. I guess reliability has carried on from Q5, which I owned. Absolute most unreliable car ever
Was regular maintenance done? Did the previous owner give you maintenance records?

67k miles at $27k. No issues other than a small Check Engine Light that was a very quick/small issue, not even noticeable.

How bad is the 4 cylinder base?

There is no way you could ever regret owning a 911.
