I agree with you so much about God giving us flowers for his glory. Very well said. Panagiotaskoylida. And thank you also for your comment and opinion about the front yard. I think I agree with you very much. Appreciate you taking the time to visit me.🥰🥰🥰Liz
Yes, I think you should put that raised vegie box in that grass area. I don't know if you mow it or weed wack it, but you wouldn't have to do anything to it if you put the box there. Plus it gets some sun in that spot so you could grow more different things. It could be another colorful spot in your front yard. FYI, I bought another nasturtium and found that it needs more sun than I gave it last time and doesn't need to be watered a lot. I put it in a pot in my front, south facing yard, next to my wooden arbor. It's already grown in the week I've had it. So, we'll see how it goes. 🙂
Hey there Speedmom and thank you for your comment and thoughts on the front veggie box project. I am SO HAPPY to hear that you are having good results with your nasturtium in the pot. YAY!!! Plus you learned something as well. . . that's what makes us better gardeners right. I am so happy for you. Thank you again for taking the time to visit me. xoxoxox Liz
Good morning Christine and thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I appreciate your fun ideas! I hope you have an amazing day and thanks again for stopping by! ❤️🥰👍Liz
Good morning, I love your garden. And I love your videos with music or just you talking. Everything is so colorful and beautiful. Hope you don't mind me saying but I think your black tires would be so pretty painted also. Lol! I paint our old tires different colors and plant Wildflowers in them. And I love them. Happy Mother's Day! From Tennessee USA 😊
Good morning my friend and happy Mother’s Day to you as well. Funny you mentioned painting my tires. I actually did that one time but what happened is they faded and the paint started to look very dirty. But I totally agree with you. It is definitely a fun and colorful idea for about the first six months. maybe when my backyard trees get a little bigger and there’s less sun in the yard. I will go paint them again. I sincerely appreciate your kind words and I love constructional criticism so you do not offend me at all. I am flattered you would take the time to visit me and comment.🥰❤️👍Liz
Yes!!! Put the veggie boxes in front. Nice working height as we age. You cannot eat the grass and it’s only color is dichromatic (living grass and dry dead patches 😳) It’s a container, so it often looks neater (I don’t use veggie boxes and my neighbors complain). I say go for it!!!
Oh my goodness you are so funny. I love it. Reason why my grass looks like a mess out in front is because when my husband was living with me, before he passed, he had a car building business and he parked cars on my front lawn. Can you believe that???? it was insane and my grass is definitely having a hard time recovering from all that. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate your input and encouragement.❤️🥰👍Liz
Hi Liz Your pretty garden is looking so lovely, the tours are so fun! I think if you like the raised planter in the front and if it gets good sunshine you should try it - i know, with your ingenuity, when you set up that little area - it will turn out adorable! I like thinking out of the box ( haha the garden box that is ) Happy Mother's Day wishes to you and to all your subscribers! 🎉❤ from Andrea 😊 see you next time!
Awww thank you so much, Andrea that is such a sweet comment. I appreciate your kind words, encouragement, and support. Yes thinking outside the box.hahaha I hope you have a beautiful and very blessed day as well❤️🥰👍Liz
Awww thank you so much Cynthia. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me on Mother’s Day. I hope you have a beautiful day and thank you again for your kind words.👍❤️🥰Liz
Your garden is looking beautiful. I like the music and you talking as well. I would leave the container garden where it is. Maybe a small tree in the front? Happy Mothers Day from Perth Western Australia.
Hi Wendy, thank you so much for tour comment! I am beginning to think you are right leave the planter where it is and maybe put a small tree in the front. A redbud, crabapple or dogwood. I kind of agree with you now that I’m thinking more about it so thank you so much for reaching out. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me.❤️🥰👍Liz
One thing about it, if you do put the veggie bed out front, if you ended up not liking it, you can always move it. Sometimes remembering that helps me try things I am unsure of. So my 2 cents is move it there and try it and then you will know if you will like it there or not. You reminded me, I need to seed more coleus seeds.
Hello flowerpatchfarmhouse that is awesome advice! No harm done right!? Appreciate you taking the time to stop by. I hope you’re having a wonderful day in your garden, and yes, get those Coleus seeds planted now. Perfect timing!!! 👍❤️🥰🌼Liz
Awwwww thank you so much. It will definitely be sad to see the nasturtium go. They’ve got about one more week, but are starting to go to seed and fade. Appreciate you taking the time to visit me.🌸❤️🥰👍🌼Liz
Just found your channel. Your garden is very nice. I live in Northwest Florida panhandle a half mile from Gulf of Mexico in a town called Gulf Breeze grow zone 9a. I’m an avid gardener specializing in tropical plants. Love growing bananas, cannas & colocasia. I was really amazed by your large planting of orange nastrium
Good morning Wesleyhackney and thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate your kind words as well. Wow it sounds like you live in a very tropical area and are able to grow some amazing things. We grow Canas in my area, but they probably are more beautiful where you live . I love the name of your town “gulf breeze”. There is another channel that I watch who lives in the same area as you, her channel is called, “gulf Coast butterfly gardening” being that you are in the same area, you might also enjoy her channel as well. Thank you again for visiting me. I hope you have a beautiful day in your tropical garden.🥰❤️👍Liz
@@GardenHappy thanks for the response you mentioned the other TH-cam channel and she lives an hour to the west from me near mobile AL. I’ve been watching her channel for almost 2 years and enjoy her garden as well. Look forward to seeing your future videos

Hi, Liz. The garden is fabulously full of fun and flowers. As for your question, I think moving the box to the front yard is a promising idea. Will there be more direct sun in the afternoon? Any particular plants you'd like to see there?
Hello there majellamaas and thank you for taking the time to visit me. Yes the front gets a lot more sun, which is why I was going to move it. I’m still not quite sure. Definitely something to think about, but I appreciate you chiming in and offering your insight..❤️🥰👍Liz
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful California garden with us like usual. It is just breathtakingly beautiful I also live in Southern California and we had a wonderful Mother’s Day today at Bellbrook California. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Mother’s Day too.
Happy Mother’s Day, grandmaSandy I’m so happy you had a wonderful day. Family is everything and we are both very blessed to have grandchildren. Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I appreciate your kind words always! ❤️🥰👍

Happy Mothers Day xx Our Mothers day here in the UK was in March. Your garden is stunning I love everything. Im struggling to grow flowers, Im going to stop buying the seeds and get the starts or plugs instead. I want lots of flowers as you have. xx
Good morning Yvonne sorry you have been struggling with seeds. I noticed that every year in the Garden things are always different. What works one year doesn’t work the next and vice versa. It all has to do with whether and climate and I guess God just letting us know that he is still in control. so yeah get the start. Try it up different this year change it up and see what works. And then maybe next year you’ll have better luck with seeds. My Mother’s Day was absolutely wonderful. Spent it with my children and grandkids. Interesting how you celebrate yours a month early , It doesn’t matter every day is Mother’s Day right? Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I appreciate your kind words And encouragement. 👍❤️🥰😇Liz
Happy Mothers Day to you too YarmouthBotanicals. . . I can't wait to see the sedum bloom as well. They last so long and change colors as the blooms age. So much fun. I appreciate you taking the time to visit by! xoxoxox Liz
What a Beautiful Garden. There is so much other things to look at and that makes it interesting. Thank you for letting us visit you for awhile and I enjoyed every minute of it. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friend. Happy Gardening!!!❤❤❤
Awww thank you so much Joan for taking the time to visit me and encouraging me with your beautiful comment. God has been so generous and good to me in my garden. I hope you have a beautiful and blessed day as well! 👍🥰❤️😇Liz
Well happy Funday Sunday Miss Liz, I am beginning to think that you and I are gardening soul sisters. I have all the same plants in my high Mohave garden in Arizona. I built old wooden boxes with the old wheel rims, old pots, bottle trees, wheelbarrows and it goes on. You can never have enough garden whimsy. I would put the veggie box along the fence and use stepping stones and then add out from that towards the house. Leaves quite a bit of room to be creative. Have a happy mother's day.
Hello there Kelly and thank you for taking the time to comment. I would love to see your garden someday it sounds just lovely and I would probably get lost in your little paradise. I love all of your ideas about the veggie box and appreciate your insight and creative idea. I hope you have a beautiful Mother’s Day and thank you again for visiting me today.🥰❤️👍Liz
Happy Mother's Day Liz ❤❤❤ I so enjoy watching your videos they are so peaceful and beautiful and lots of hard work I can tell!! Keep up doing what you are doing, it's so wonderful ❤❤
Thank you so much, Mike. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. Yes Garden are hard work, but if you truly love it, it becomes very enjoyable and not considered work at all. I want to quit my day job so I can spend more time working in the garden ha ha 👍❤️🥰Liz
Liz, your garden keeps on getting better and better - always something to look forward to, changing over time and with the seasons. My current project is to expand and refresh the orchid garden area a little since I asked for a new orchid for Mother's Day and I plan to add two more in different colors, then add more colorful glass garden art. Found a great deal on two PVC garden arbors yay my last project this year. The heat and rainy season have arrived. I'm still trying for one last batch of Zinnia and Cosmos seeds:). Native salvias self-seeded and I'm hoping this year's heat-tolerant, perennial Basil experiments will work out. Happy Mother's Day and happy gardening!
Hi Rose, thank you so much for sharing all this with me. I love hearing what other people are doing in their gardens. I have not had any success with zinnia seeds this year at all. I’ve planted them several times with very little luck. It seems like every year certain things do well and others don’t. so awesome to hear about your orchids. My orchids are blooming for the first time for me this year. Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to comment. I always appreciate your encouragement and hearing about your own Garden and journey in it. 👍🥰❤️🌸🌼😁Liz
Awwww thank you so much. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me. So awesome that you love my doors. I find that very encouraging and love shRing my garden with others. Thank you again for stopping by.👍🥰❤️🌼Liz
Happy Mother's Day!!! Everything looks beautiful. How do you have the bottles fixed above the fence that says Home Sweet Home? I'm always looking for new ways to add them in my garden..🥰❤💐
Happy Mothers Day Kim. . . The bottles along the fence sit on top of long 6 inch screws. Each bottle has it's own screw. I just picked them up at the hardware store. They were kindof pricey like 1.75 each. But worth it. Hope that helps. xoxoxox Liz
Looks like you have decided not to lower to the ground your round pavers. I would not put the metal box in the front yard. It looks better in the back garden. The garden is looking real good in May. Happy Mother's Day.
Hello Silver Dawn in TX no I still want to lower the pavers. I just haven’t gotten around to it. Lots of family events going on and with work at all I just don’t have as much time in the garden as I would like to. I definitely need to quit my job that is for sure.Hahaha I appreciate your comment about the planter box. I am actually having second thoughts. I guess the brain of a gardener never stops right? 🥰❤️👍Liz
@@GardenHappy I am glad that with time you will lower the pavers. I like the big metal planter but I thought it would stick out like a sore thumb in the front yard where you want curb appeal. I am sure you will come up with something as to where to permanently place it in the back yard. Maybe in a shady area where you could have a shade garden box with coral bells, impatients, hostas, ferns and other shade loving plants you could collect over time. That is if you have a shady spot in the garden.
I am really starting to agree with you, I think if the whole front garden was raised boxes. It would look good, but just the single one might look a little odd. You definitely have good taste and style. That’s why opinions matter to me. 🥰❤️👍Liz
@@GardenHappy Yes, more than one of the metal planters in the front would probably work but they are not cheap to buy. I still like the idea of putting shade plants in it. I really like coral bells and hostas and I do not remember if I have seen any in your garden. What do you think about this idea?
I actually have a couple hostas and coral bells in my garden. Guacamole is one hosta. I have an absolutely love it. I think the shade Garden is a great idea! 👍👍👍
The thing is ...I believe that you should not be afraid to try new things if you desire them. What's the worst that could happen? Maybe you don't like it. So then you will know it doesn't fit. So my vote is go for it and see how you like it OR not.
Oh my goodness Marvette that is probably the best advice and comment I’ve gotten this year. I totally love your outlook on life and you are absolutely right. What’s the worst thing that could happen? That is so true. I just love it and I’m so glad you chimed in And shared your opinion. YOU ROCK!!!! 😁😁😁Liz
Everything looks so beautiful Liz! I think the area you call the cottage garden is my favorite! I planted bougainvillea last week. I hope it turns out as pretty as yours. I vote to leave the veggie garden box where it is and put a tree in the front yard, but I am sure whatever you decide to do will turn out beautiful 🌸🌼🌺
Good morning Ginger and thank you for taking the time to comment. I agree with you. I’m gonna leave the veggie box where it is and put a tree out front. That is perfect advice so I thank you!!!! I cant wait to hear how your bougainvillea turns out. What color did you get? Maybe you told me but I have a bad memory. Hahaha ❤️🥰👍Liz
Good morning, sweetlady and thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate your kind words and I love those strawberries stackers as well. In the hot summer days, I have to water them at least once every day otherwise I would just water them once a week. They probably dry out quick because the containers are very small. If yours are drying out quickly, may I suggest growing succulents in them. Succulents don’t require as much watering and they prefer being dried out so that might be a better choice for you. 👍👍👍 Liz
I have my veggie boxes in my small front yard. It looks great. I planted some yarrow in my 4 in 1 apple trees planter box. The Indian named crepe Myrtle’s do not get powdery mildew if there the Indian name varieties. Judy
Oh wow you have a all those crepe myrtle trees? that Muskogee one is absolutely massive and beautiful. So cool that you have veggie boxes in your front garden. That is very inspiring to me. I am still undecided, but I am going to do. Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I appreciate your comment. I always love to hear what other people are doing in their gardens. have a great day Judy and thanks again for visiting me. 🥰❤️👍🌸Liz

Hi Kim, happy Mother’s Day and thank you for taking the time to comment. The bottles on top of my fence are actually placed on these very long carriage screws.
👍🥰❤️🌸🌼😁Liz
Your garden is absolutly lovely Liz ❤ so pretty, i am so in love with your doors ❤❤ hope you had a great weekend ❤
Awwww thank you so much. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me. So awesome that you love my doors. I find that very encouraging and love shRing my garden with others. Thank you again for stopping by.👍🥰❤️🌼Liz
Happy Mother’s Day love your garden. Judy
ThankYou Judy! I hope you had a beautiful and blessed Mother’s Day👍❤️🥰Liz
I can’t remember the name but it is orange. I can totally relate to the memory thing haha😂
The orange one is so pretty you don’t see that one being sold too often. How fun orange is my favorite color.🧡🧡🧡
I'm in love with your violet petunias, nasturtium, and painted bench.❤ How often do you water the strawberries in the stacker? Mine dry out easily.
🥰❤️👍🌸Liz
Hi, I love your garden and I will get some of your ideas. I live 40 min from you.
Hey there neighbor! How fun to know you live fairly close to me. I love that. Thank you for your nice comment, I appreciate you taking the time to visit me.❤️🥰👍Liz
Happy Mother's Day!! Everything is beautiful. How do you have the bottles fixed above top of the fence that says Home Sweet Home? I'm always looking for new ways to add them in my garden.💐🥰❤
Hi Kim, happy Mother’s Day and thank you for taking the time to comment. The bottles on top of my fence are actually placed on these very long carriage screws. I will show that in my next video that is a very good question though. I will definitely show you next time when I film. Hope you have a beautiful day and thank you again for stopping by.🥰❤️👍Liz
@@GardenHappy Thank you Liz...looking forward to next video☺❤
