Hi, I'm Liz. . . A non professional home gardener shining brightly for Christ! My garden is located in California Zone 9b. My videos are all about small space gardening, gardening on a budget and making the most of what I have in order to be happy. Not only am I obsessed with Gods beautiful creation but I crave color too. Therefore I have incorporated yard sale finds, thrift store treasures and hand painted doors in my garden making it my little happy place.

Hi Liz!:) Loved a peek behind the curtain before the final reveal of your newest garden "room"! Isn't it exciting to create a new garden area or find a new spot or odd corner to play around with? I just started my spring gardening here in Florida. I'm having fun re-designing a couple of small areas that the hurricanes destroyed and encountering the same issues with my walkways as you have. I will stick to light-colored small gravel and create a couple stone flower designs that I found on Pinterest. I also wanted to stencil a few large pavers in front of the big shed, but the design/layout isn't working so I'm rethinking everything before I paint/stencil anything. Now I think I will use a few huge broken concrete pieces instead and mix in small concrete pieces. Cheers to working it all out and a beautiful end result. Happy Gardening!

Really loved how you broke up the spaces to create different points of interest! I too have dreams bigger than the size of my garden. I like all types of garden designs (Mediterranean, cottage garden, Japanese, zen, etc.) I’ve never thought to just scale down and create different zones so I could have it all. Thank you for sharing your space!

Unfortunately my garden is under a foot of snow (Ohio) so I love seeing yours. As always your videos inspire me. Absolutely love your garden design! The new garden area is adorable with those colorful stepping stones.

And the beauty of it is they were only $1.25 each so after a while if I get tired of them, I can easily change them out. You are so inspirational for folks with a small space to garden in. You make the most of what you have and I can't wait to see what you do with your new garden area. Isn't starting a new area so fun? Hasn't this winter been so confusing for our plants? I have things starting to bud and I know we will be hit with very cold temps and they are all going to get zapped.

Good morning to you also. I have been up very early watching youtube. Went to get my second cup of morning coffee and saw you posted! That always makes me happy! Your garden may not be as lush as during other times of the year, BUT it is ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL. You have such a talent! Every area is different, interesting and just so beautiful! It is such a cute wonderland!!! By the way, I have been known to garden in my PJ's also. I can't grow canna lilies in my garden, yet a friend grows them so easily.

Didn't work for me. I had it in the ground for a little more than 2 months now. It looks wet and there is no rain at all and smell bad, no worm in there at all, not like the one I have above ground. May be I didn't have enough brown material? Any idea what is wrong? Thanks.
Hi Donna thank you for taking the time to comment, I am so sorry that you had a bad experience with composting in a bucket in the ground. If your compost was too wet and had a bad odor then yes that was definitely due to not enough brown material. I don’t know what to say about not having any worms though. Maybe it was too wet for them. I am still learning in the garden every day so don’t feel bad. Gardening will forever be a learning experience for all of us won’t it?! 😆❤️👍 so yes again and answer to your question. I believe you needed to add more brown material. I bought the serrated pruners, and the first time I used them the latch snapped, and they broke. I would definitely avoid them.😢
