VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
This 5x10 teardrop was a father and son project built with Baltic birch plywood. After having his tent flood at an event, Philip decided to build his very own DIY teardrop. The teardrop has a circular door, ample power outlets, plenty of storage, and a remote kitchenette and toilet.
It's amazing that this beautiful camper was built in 1 month with only $3k invested! The build is full of amazing design ideas that others could certainly use in their own build. Someone would have everything they need to live simple on the road road while living tiny.
While this camper is only used for trips, it could absolutely be used for full time use!

Would you help someone make one for themselves
Good question :-)
Happy to respond to questions, make suggestion, zoom about stuff.
If you add a few coats of polyurethane on the outside, it'll be waterproof. Hope it helps.
Would that trap moisture in the wood & make black spots?
The leaking is mostly the edges of the galley door.
If you make or buy a flag, like an orange safety flag, and attach it to the trailer latch, you would find alignment alone much easier. Thanks for the video, cute little trailer you have there. Nice work.
It’s beautiful.
Way to go! It IS impressive! Enjoy! 😊
That is so sweet. The doors are awesome!
Agreed! The doors are such a unique and beautiful design feature.
A reversing camera fitted to your vehicle makes it extremely easy to reverse and hook up in my experience. when I purchased my ute it had a reversing camera fitted and it made it so easy, the camera was a micro camera mounted on the license plate and was adjustable. would highly recomend.
Nice build!!
Very cool project. All you really need to have a good time in nature.
That is what I call a tiny home.
Definitely one of the tinier tiny homes we've toured!
Love this guy's outlook... and his camper. The round doors are epic for sure
It's amazing how your brain gets to work after you wake up in a puddle x...🌞.
Nicely Done 🎉.
My friends and I always dreamed of
having a Tear Drop 😍.
You and your Son have a talent 👍!

Excellent
Stunning Beautiful, very unique!
So glad Philip shared his gorgeous creation with us! :)
Congratulations, it's so appealing and you get to enjoy the fruit of your father/son labor.
Very nice. I always wonder about these tear drop camlers. Would they be more air dynamic if it was pulled from the other end.
A practical and eclectic build - serves its purpose and doesn’t break the bank!
We're still amazed at what Philip and his son were able to create for under 3k and in less than a month. Definitely inspiring!
Nice video
It's not that big but for one or two people
it's probably enough room, but still it would
be great to have especially for camping and
short distance traveling, yeah this is really very
nice to have and Thank You for showing this.🤠👋

So glad you enjoyed it! :) We love the full curve and natural wood look of this teardrop, as well as the story behind the build. 🙂
Oh so cute 🩸👍🏻👏
This is a fantastic build
Very beautiful!!!
only needs a beautiful painting. purple and red
Watch out with that votive candle heater - those candles can offgas chemicals that do not behoove humans. I’d get a wool or electric blanket. ✌️
Very nice! Wish I was talented enough to build a teardrop. 😂
Sounds like it's time to pick up woodworking 😁
I just got that same control panel, NO nooo cool door knob, we are in SoTex so we have to have an ac
Question for for tiny home tours. What's the smallest single story tiny home that people would be interested in? I'm looking to build a small but well crafted and thought out tiny home to sell.
That's a tricky question to answer just because people have such varying preferences when it comes to size/design of a tiny home.
It looks like right now the average tiny home is around 225 sq ft and on average the tiniest clocks in at about 60 sq ft. I think playing around to see what design/size you like best would be a good start.
@@TinyHomeTours Thanks for your input.
In the country I'm from, you can build a real timber house for just twice that money. :)
But what is the average pay check 🤔😜 ?
@@annetakubiak3374, hmm... About six times less than the US (I currently reside here). To be honest, the housing crisis is way worse here than anywhere else I've ever been to.
Honestly i can't believe this took 2 months
It's amazing what Philip and his son were able to create from scratch in such a short amount of time!
3k😂😂😂😂😂. Nah.
