    Most people eat and love ribeye, prime rib, striploin steaks, and ribs pork shoulder lamb shoulder and other fatty cuts of meat because of the TASTE! Leaner cuts of meat with added fat of one's choice may be easier to control the amount of fat, but they do not TASTE nearly the same; nor nearly as good! We should be allowed to ENJOY our Keto/Carneto/Carnivore meals just for their TASTE sometimes at least; and not ALWAYS worry, or think about the nutrition, or scientific, gut microbiome, etc stuff.

    Fatty meat tastes so much better than lean cuts. You are out on a limb here about having lean meat - most keto people say the exact opposite. I don't buy meat from large stores as I'm surrounded by local farm shops with high quality grass fed/finished animals. Also eat a lot of seafood, so don't worry about the fat content. If I was buying store based grain fed meat then I would probably do what you are saying.

I found more fat in the aka wally world meat vs farm raised, however, I noticed a significant difference in blood sugar levels between the 2. The grass feed farm raised gives me I higher glucose reading then the fatty meat from Walmart? If you eat too much lean meat and nothing else your body would eventually starve to death it's called rabbit starvation period basically some people were stranded on an island with nothing but rabbits they eventually died because just eating lean meat eventually produces large amounts of ammonia in your body and you can't get rid of it and you basically die. @@williammclean6594 I'm not afraid of the carbs, for me, it's filling up on beet greens, clover, spinach, all the tasty stuff, and I love pine needle tea, and then I don't want the meat. I got stranded at my mom's house where my food choices were salad or corn or potatoes. I ate salad, broccoli and butter for almost a week until the storm cleared. I was never hungry, and had averaged one egg a day, except for the can of tuna I found in the back of the cupboard. My mom thinks frozen pizza and cheese crackers are food. Oh, and chicken bathed in corn starch gravy, and her favorite cereal is corn flakes. The only reason I got home was because my son had dragged my truck out from the snow with chains, then followed me. I had lost nine whole pounds. Yeah, I'd rather have veggies, and I don't much care if I walk out of my skirt as long as I can still walk.

    Sorry but I had nothing but problems with butcher box. They sent poorly butchered steaks, filet mignon with silver skin or end cuts, on a few occasions. Flat iron steaks had to be trimmed to cubes because there were so many tendons. They sent me top rounds instead of top sirloins. They replaced top quality steaks with low quality instead of equal or greater. We received orders that were just short and without a replacement. It was a monthly task to email them to address mistakes or abnormalities and get refunds or replacements. I would compare it to dealing with a Sprint phone bill that is wrong every month and no matter what you say or do it’s never fixed.

    • @lydialady5275
      @lydialady5275 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Always drain your meat loaf. I bake mine on a wire rack in a roasting pan or cassarole. It helps, too, if you use a leaner cut. If, when it's cooked, it's too dry, make a simple "gravy" sauce- thicken a cup of beef bullion with gelatine and guar gum. A touch of sugar free browing liquid or a few dashes of soy sauce is nice in the sauce.

      A dairy cow has a calf every year. The dairy doesn’t need to replace cows every year and certainly doesn’t need the bulls sooo off to pasture or feed lot they go.

    I also tend to prefer leaner cuts of meat. When I eat a ribeye, I cut the fat off after its cooked because I don't like chewing fat. I'll go with tenderloin and cook it in healthy oil and top with a little butter. Plus, I don't always do grass fed so I think lean meat is a better option.

  • @joerandom157
    @joerandom157 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is this even a serious question? Chicken is garbage meat. Ruminants are vastly superior to chicken. Chicken is only OK if you eat skinless breasts. We aren't meant to eat lean meat quite honestly. This lean meat fad emerged from diet culture. Chicken was orignally called "meat for the price of bread." ... and for good reason
    Also, that part about i:g is not correct. Protein does raise both, HOWEVER it only happens when you're liver is not resistant. This happens in ketosis, but saturated fat signals the liver to accept food again

    I agree with everything and I’m a meat, chicken and fish eater but I think nowadays we should also take ethical and environmental aspects into account and eat the whole animal instead of only eating the Lean cuts. Also, the fattier cuts in chicken for example provide way more nutrition, like zinc, selenium, iron etc.
