Hi Carrie, I've used Elmer's and Aleene's glue to baste a few times. I love the star pattern and papers and the bucket bag. Watch some paper piecing and do some practices. It took me a while and a few boo boos!! I'm apparently spatially impaired 😂 Good to see you up ❤
Hi Carrie. I had knee replacement a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I’d had hip. done prior to that, but it was botched, so am pretty much disabled. I haven’t sewn for a while but can’t wait to get back in to it…motivation and pain prevent me at the moment. But you’re so positive and inspirational! 🇦🇺❤️
Love the box. I cant wait to make the runner. Try rubbing alcohol wipes. Can get them in the pharmacy section. They work really well for left over stickiness.
Moda fabrics are always lovely. Sorry to hear about your knee. I've had several knee surgeries, do all those exercises even when they hurt. It works for me to use Elmer's washable glue sticks when basting.
(Chuckling about your wrinkled shirt) I use a glue stick with paper piecing to keep the paper in place while I'm sewing it to the fabric. I prefer not to use pins on things like that. Gluing works, and it's fast and easy. I'm going to research to see if FQS has a tutorial on that particular paper piecing pattern. Seems like a good one for scraps. Pretty.
Hi hope your knee is getting less painful. FQS have posted a video on this FPP design. If you've never done this before, try a square in a square to start off.

Paper piecing is easy and fun! Glue basting is a good quilt as you go item

Sew sampler boxes are always so much fun and a great value!

Your cat looks so interested in the unboxing. Hope your knee heals quickly.
Thank you! My knee is doing great. 😊

Do you find that the glue causing your needles to be sticky? I am also getting residue on my iron.
I am not but I don't use a lot of it and I use parchment paper when ironing. Good luck.
