Hi Carrie, your channel is really growing - good for you. I use gloves every time I quilt. I can't seem to push the fabric under the needle without them. The brand I use are GrapARoos. If you don't like the ruffle on the pillow, you could replace it with a dusty rose colored wide ribbon, only a suggestion. Nice to see you back. Cheers from Canada.
I have been watching the Little House series and I absolutely LOVE these fabric patterns. I love both the pocket book and the pillow projects! I think this box is actually 1 of my very favorites ❤
Gloves are crucial for most of us when quilting a quilt on domestic machines. Love the Prairie fabric! I would make the pillow w/out the ruffle, but the pouches are very nice♥️🌲
Hi Carrie, good to see you back! I've been down after foot surgery in June. But just put binding on a 3 yr old Christmas quilt! Good to be back in the sewing room ❤ Melissa Gilbert! Familiar name, fabric not for me, though.
I use some gloves that just go on the palms of my hands when I'm doing free motion quilting and it really helps relieve the stress in my shoulders when I use the gloves.
I’ve made ruffled pillow before but I like the ruffle along the edges so that is what I would do. Probably change the center to a 9 patch or do some machine embroidery on it. Yes, I would totally change it up. I love the fabrics but have heard people say it’s a 90s vibe but they are wrong. It was last big in late seventies/eighties. Gunne Sax was the big name designer brand and I just loved it (as a high school girl!) Guess that’s why this line really grew on me even though it threw me off at first. Nobody else is doing it and it’s a nice break from all the crazy bright Tula and Kaffe inspired prints. I know they’re still going strong but I think its due to run its course.
Those were my decor colors in the 80's - sage green and mauve. I like the pattern selection but would use fabrics from my stash. All the notions are good. Glad you are feeling better. Carrie, how did your beds go for kitty rescue?
Yes I have severe RA and wear these gloves often. I do have this brand and a white pair also. Don’t remember the name of the white ones.any tool that keeps me sewing is a good tool.
I really love the fabric. Those gloves work great while binding as well.
Ooo. Great tip. Never thought about the binding.

Great idea on using the rose for a ribbon vs ruffle.

It is great to hear you are back sewing!
I prefer wearing gloves when I’m quilting larger projects. I’m glad you are doing well. Thanks for sharing. 😊
What’s the biggest project you have made?
@ A table topper (45 inches square).
@@michelleprintz2976 That is huge!!!!
I like the Prairie fabric.
It's growing on me!

I may have to look into the just the palm gloves. I am not fond of wearing full gloves unless I really need to.
We all have hot messes around us when sewing. Hopefully you recover soon.
It's a everyday thing when crafting/creating. 🙂

It’s always fun to add your own twist to a project! I agree the more I look at it the more it grows me. I like the idea of ruffle around the edges.
Hi Carrie, I am so glad you are alright. You have been missed.💜
Thank you so much! It was nice being back in my room.
Hope you are feeling better

The beds did really well at the event. They have ones that did not sell at the event on their website.

Thank you for watching! Sewing can be so hard on the hands.
I've been waiting to see you again I was hoping you where okay !
Thank you!!! I am good. Recovery has been a little tough this go around!
I am not a fan of WOF. Just say the width please
I agree some of the abbreviations are odd. For be being new to it I would prefer the actual phrase. Thank you for watching.
