My wife and I remember when Surprise was a quiet little town when we moved there in 1999, everyone we knew was like "Why Surprise? Do you know how far out you are?"
Nobody was out there, and we liked it that way. Well Surprise isn't that sleepy little town any longer, she's definitely been discovered and has ballooned a LOT bigger than the original square mile that we moved to over 25 years ago.
We decided to move back east a couple of years ago for family reasons and have been keeping up on our "little home town" on TH-cam and other websites and boy has she grown up and out. We will be retiring in the next 8-10 years and plan on coming back when we do, I wonder what Surprise will be like then. Flora Mae Statler would definitely be Surprised by what her little town has become.

Lux Country Club feel- Sterling Grove
Location and overall feel Marley Park
Gorgeous homes and quality build- Escalante by Fulton
Best Value- Desert Oasis area or North Copper Canyon

Looking for a place to move in Arizona . What would be a better option from Surprise and Buckeye for raising a family?

If moving to Buckeye, I would suggest sticking with the Verrado community. Surprise has great new community starting west toward the white tank mountains, brand new shopping, and homes and very safe. You do not need to lock your doors when you leave the house, etc.
