  • On Thursday, May 4th, the International Wildlife Coexistence Network (IWCN) is hosted a Coexisting with Big Cats webinar to share real-life stories on how nonlethal methods have been successfully used to protect predators including puma, jaguar, and ocelot across Central and South America and the United States.
You will hear from the Humane Society International’s Deputy Director and Wildlife Program Manager Grettel Delgadillo Molina on how communities across Central America are coexisting with wild cats-jaguars, puma, ocelot, jaguarundi, and margay.
Connect with Dr. Eduardo De Lucca who has been studying puma in the Pampas ecoregion since 2009 with a focus on conflict mitigation and identifying viable nonlethal interventions to protect their future.
And you’ll hear from Gowan Batist-co-owner and manager of Fortunate Farm in Casper and fifth-generation sheep rancher as she shares success stories of utilizing nonlethal methods to protect the farm’s livestock while coexisting with puma including the use of electric fences and livestock guardian dogs.
At the International Wildlife Coexistence Network, we are strong advocates of public education. For this webinar, you’ll have the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution on our registration page to support our efforts that will benefit communities by educating them on how to coexist with jaguars.
Thank you to the Summerlee Foundation for supporting this initiative.
