Nice video. With any outdoor light fixture, I always put a light coat of "Nolox" or "Penetox" inside the electrical socket as well as the on the treads and tip of the light bulb to prevent corrosion. The bulb itself probably had corrosion on it too which cause the make/break electrical connection that caused the light to be on and then off. Anytime a bulb is mounted upright, water is going to find its way into the electric socket so that is why it is so important to use "Nolox" or "Penetox" to prevent the corrosion of dissimilar metals in particular.
I was heavy equipment mechanic until my accident and dealt with this same issues with customers all the time, what did your customer say about this situation and you doing the fixture although the bulb was the initial problem? Although you and I would consider the fixture to be preventative maintenance, did they care or just want it done.
great video as always. so due to the photocell the light comes on automatically at night right? so to activate the lights you but a piece of tape to cover it ?

I believe the socket inside could have been changed out without replacing the outer part.

Great electrician, as a painter…..😂😂😂
Corrosion is very common when your lampholders are facing in upward direction. I see this all the time.
