Metal Detecting EMI - Nokta Legend Tips and Tricks

All metal detectors will experience something called EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference).
The receiver coil of your detector is an antenna and as such will pick up Microwave, Radio, Cellular and other Electro-Magnetic interference.
This interference is often described as "chatter".
If your metal detector has chatter then it is not broken!
You can change your setting and tune it out. In the most extreme cases you may have to leave the area.

My detector LEGEND only does that when my mobile phone starts searching for cell sites ... it warbles exactly like that... then when I switch my phone to flight mode ... it goes

Urban areas have EMI everywhere.

It's not my phone! Where do you hunt that you do not know that EMI is everywhere? Where are you hunting that your phone is searching for a provider?

Regardless of the EMI source; one can tune it out. If a multi frequency user then it will be more challenging!

My single frequency runs better ones from the 90s keep your old anlog detectors around cause new does not mean better I used to md with no vdi
