Thanks for such a straightforward guide to this machine. It reassured me I could undertake basic cleaning & lubricating myself. I’d love to send a photo of what I found … not sure how it accumulated so much grease in 48 years😮, but it is clean and WD40´d now.
Your videos are always informative. I own a 158-1941, and a 158-1430, and a 158-1802. Excellent machines. Is there any chance you could show how to change the belts? These are double belt models. Many thanks.
Thank You I didn't post for a while had big industrials to work on those are done now, and used machines are starting to cost me more $$$$ just like everything.
Thanks! I just recently gifted a Kenmore very similar to yours to a friend. I also have 158.1032, 158.1802 and 158.1914. Can you show how to free up a stuck feed dog mechanism? My 1914 is stuck in the lowered position. Thanks!
YUP you will need a hair dryer do you have one. Take off the bottom of the machine and use the hair dryer to heat up ( not burn ) the metal parts to loosen them up than clean and oil and your done wasn't that easy?
