Really love those Kenmore's. So versatile and durable. I have a 1914 and i think the only difference is that its a free arm. I just sold my 1785. Loved that one too but had to thin out the herd. I actually made a spool pin for a machine with a cheap screwdriver from menards ( because it was it already chromed and was the correct diameter. . Cut it to size and threaded it with the tap and die set. Looked lik factory. Great videos!
Hello, greetings, I wanted to ask you a question aborto the fiesta model of the kenmore 158-1914 machines, I have one but it is having a problem with the sewing tensión and I have already reviewed the entire thread process and I cannot find the problem, yes please could you help me I would appreciate it…. 🙏🙏🙏
Those are great old machines- I have serviced one of the Japan ones for a neighbor, and since bought one for myself I think that one came from Taiwan though- a later model. You can tell the difference, the Japan ones a bit better.
I have a 158.14301, where can I get the booklet & accessories that go with it? Did they come in different tables, and can they be moved to a portable case for travel? I'm new to sewing,; elderly , disabled, vision impaired & only have one hand, I live alone & I really hope I can overcome the challenge of sewing. Are there any adaptive things that will make it easier? Any helpful suggestions are appreciated. I like the features of the 158.1785.
I just got one. It was stuck in reverse but I fixed that. Also, replaced the pedal and cleaned it up. Runs great now but am having trouble finding info on this particular model.
