I have been testing with mine and love it so far. Car feels much smoother than my mr03. Because of my local track and club I am forced to run the 28 SRA rules, I do run down in Ca under the pn rules. I wish local track here in Lv would change to pn rules, I do have a question for you houston rc guys any chance you will put out a sensor cable for the mr04 evo boards to the Houston rc spec motors. Here in Lv we are forced to run houston rc motors, and would like to run a mr04 evo in our AAA 3500kv class. And the only sensor cable on the market right now is for pn motors which we can not run.
@@RichardLRussell85 Yes. He did end up matching the lap record! It didn’t happen day one. He took the car home, massaged and freed up the front end, made sure everything was nice and smooth. Once back he was able to run 11-12s, with a legal Kyosho Box stock car. Thanks for inquiring!
@@zacklothamer9533so Kyosho has new Option parts for the new MR-04. Several smaller mfgs have followed suit and are making their own parts. Tons of the older MR03 which ran-03 stuff will still fit though.
Aaron Correa was the 2023 Kyosho Mini-Z North American Champion for EVO Novice, he was crowned by ‘Kyosho America’ last December. It was a Kyosho only event. Sounds like your buddy won an event at Iron City hosted under PN Racing rules?

@@rolandtimario2362 the electronics package is definitely an upgrade. Front end feels smoother. The rear end feels the same. Since bodies can be transferred back/forth we feel like it’s an upgrade from the older MR03 which ran for 12ish years!

Is a kingpin flip no longer "required" with the new suspension on the front end of the mr04?
@@zacklothamer9533 correct. Different system up front.
@houstonrc nice and so far all the option parts for the mr03 work with the mr04? Tolates, disc dampers metal differential etc

Does the MR04 RWD readyset fix the front spring or knuckle issues we have seen with the MR04 evo? ie. popping out etc
@@mikesyr we believe so as we have yet to see that issue in over 1000 laps across 24+ kits.
