HI, I tried to bind my MR04 evo2 with my Noble NB4 but nothing! I first turned on the radio by selecting the model (1) then in the RFsetup mini-Z EVO (and not FHSS) and starting the binding; then I turned on the MR04 by holding down the button and only the LED (red) flashed quickly, but nothing! I tried to update the receiver (yellow antenna) but it remained at 0% and the LED continued to flash red! Any advice? 😨
Hi! Thanks for your amazing video. I am currently considering buying one. I am just wondering how is low speed linearity of the 4100 kv motor, comparing to other 3500/2500 kv sensored brushless motors (like hobbywing, enso, afrc, etc)? My friend has a 8500 kv motor but it doesnt have any low speed... even 5% throttle is very fast. Thanks!
@@fanzhoukong6882 4100KV is close to box stock speeds depending on the pinion. 5600KV maybe around xspeed motor, while the old sensored 8500KV is slightly slower than 2500kv lipo 14T, but the new sensored 8500kv is slightly faster than that. The 2500KV 14T superstocks will accelerate and hit top speed faster.
Hi mate, just bought myself mr04 evo2 MM last week. Am happy to see Singaporean youtuber on mini-z. I want to purchase the kyosho r246 motor mount. Can please advice which are the correct version with part number for MM mount? I am awaiting for the PN racing friction damper. Will heed your advise and forgo the top damper/spring since mr04 can be driven well without it.
Great video, thank you so much for that. Was wondering how the low speed control is with the motor being sensored. Can you control it much better at start up low speeds than the MR-03evo sensorless brushless motors?
Yea, it's a significant improvement, it's very close to being brushed. It's more than smooth enough for normal driving. I did notice that low speed of 4100KV is also similar to 8500KV.
Hi ! I have 2 questions 1) I have many types of LIPO batteries from the aéreo model fly ! Could I use the 2s lipo which are 7.4 volts? 2) could I also use the normal AAA Ni-MH Rechargeable?
If you wire it correctly, the board can take 7.4v without issues, just be extra careful not to accidentally give it too much voltage. AAA nimh rechargeables are what most people usually run.
Hi, I'm Vince. I ordered the Kyosho MR04 ( without wheels ) . It will arrive soon . I would like some advice: which wheels can I use ? Can you or somebody else give me some advice? Thanks a lot!
Hello, if i understand, you can take mr04 motor and put it in mr03, yes? if so it would be interesting to compare laptimes between mr03rwd and mr04evo2, with same gearing
Do you know the model you got with the dampner compares with the other version with the low motor without the dampner. Trying to decide which one to get. Thanks. Great vid
It really depends on the body type you want to run. The MM2 motor mount can work with 94mm and 98mm, but it's higher center of gravity and the shock might interfere with a couple of bodies, like the popular 12C. I just ran a few other people's MR04 and the 8500KV version with no damper does still drive really well, just that it tends to bounce a little on the rear.
There's an aftermarket one made by MXO Racing, and it does work well, one of the guys at the track run it. If you get it you'll have to follow the dual rate settings in the instructions MXO Racing gives.
I'm having trouble spinning out with this chassis, any idea what I could improve on? Anytime I'm going fast and I turn in, the rear end likes to swing out and I spin out, I have to go really slow in order for this not to happen. Thanks!
What tyres are you using? I noticed with the MR04 design, I'm usually getting more front grip with it compared to my PN car, so I needed less aggressive front tyres in order to run the car optimally.
@@Rowtreez The usual safe tyre setup choice is radial 20 wide at the back and 30 slick fronts, I'll try a harder front tyre. You can also try running harder front spring but if the car swings out or loses traction very quickly, tyres are usually the problem.
@@Rowtreez no problem :P Usually tyres are 70% of the setup. You can try softer T plate as well. Also ensure all wheels spin freely without contact with the body if possible too.
