Hey Bill I was thinking maybe you could do a video on torque converters. For guys like me who are used to clutches and H-pattern stick shift the converter can be a bit of voodoo lol. Like you could go over what the terminology means from loose/tight to flash etc etc. Keep up the great work brother 🤙
That is a really good idea, I don't understand what loose or tight even means, I know what a clutch is but I don't fuck with automatics, I hate them, I had a A6 Tiptronic once that thing was okay for a diesel but have never had another auto. I got that a converter does what it says but I don't understand how. The rest of a car is simple to me. But I'm in the UK I don't even know if we have converters here I've never seen one irl

I have a basic understanding of how they work, the impeller or centrifugal pump effectively flings the ATF into the fins of the turbine, that in turn spins or transmits the torque into the transmission. But that is a super basic explanation.

You need to open the back of the Cowl up on the Mustang it will let more Hot Air out from under the hood and cool the temps, Also put a Lower temp thermostat 165f!

A 160- 185 will stay completely open and continue to circulate hot coolant/ water because it will never close thus not allowing the radiator and cooling fan to do it's job and actually cool the coolant before it's re-circulated into an already hot engine ... A 195 will actually close and allow the fan / rad to do it's job properly . It most likely has a 185 or a 160 in it now causing the heating issue , and yes all power adders cause excessive heating ---23 year Master Technician & Ford Performance Specialist. Have yourself a nice evening , and try to learn how BASIC sht is supposed to function on an automobile .

Ok..I drive a semi and was driving when I was watching this and couldn't comment on the mustang.. The mods you need are easy 1. Black magic fan 2.170 thermostat 3.130 Amp alternator 4. Big fat ground wire from body to block The fan you have is no bueno.. the black magic fan is a beast.. it kept my 408w under 180 at all times even driving in fla heat stop n go traffic..the 130 Amp alternator is king daddy on a fox.. good luck

4:19 "moroso battery box" made of plastic.. I went final round at an NMRA street car race with my 70 Olds 442 and won contingency money, about $1500 I picked that same moroso battery box with that credit. It's nothing fancy but it works and im proud of how I aquired that batt box. There is a story behind that race I'll tell it if anybody cares and messages back

If you want to fix having to push in the clutch pedal unplug the wire from the back of the pedal and plug in a 10 amp fuse to the plug it will fit in perfect that will bypass the pedal.

If you're gonna have a fox , put LMR's number on speed dial for fox body parts . Get a new alt plug( solder it in ) & a 200 amp alt kit from them , you'll be glad ya did. Lol guess you already have their number ..posted before vid got that far.

Just curious if you have tested the ethanol content st your local filling station? It's been my experience to find many with atleast 85% or greater. I know you can order it or E90 maybe!?

This dog would jump on my lap, and steer my F800, cummins diesel wheel lift wrecker, & he will stare out the windshield, for like 20 minutes, while I rowed through the gears. My little buddy is so smart, he'd be looking through the windshield (driving), & as soon as that thing was ready to hit 2nd gear, while holding on to the steering wheel, he would look at me, and then stare down at the shifter, essentially telling me when to shift, and he does this through all five gears!!! HI ALL Just an update RYAN MARTIN was on a very impressive pass and hit the wall on the top end first day testing in perth australia the car will be fixed looks like just front end damage 4 weeks and they here in my hometown Calder Park Melbourne its 90 degrees here today so bill have you though about using the malibu for ya daily and race the der i say the TANG as we call them here lol more for safety cos the malibu doesn't have a cage ? just asking lol thx
MarkVIII cooling fan and dccontrol pwm fan controller! You're welcome. Oh yeah, an SN95(94-95 GT) alternator oughta do the trick. Along with a 4awg fused power wire, plug the regulator in, tap some threads in the bracket....boom 130A all day.
Check chassis grounds for charging issues,, especially on Fox bodies.. I notice the flexed hatch too, just like my old 90' and every other hatchback. 'never in the rain', lol
Bad header gasket with carb is just noisy but with holley efi it screws the whole tune up. For cooling I suggest adjusting timing vs temp table. Above 180 degrees coolant pull 3 to 5 degrees of ignition timing this will help to keep engine cool under most conditions
I watch religiously. This channel has brought me through rough times. Last year every family member that was living on my property died… my mother, uncle bob and aunt Joey. Then had to put my 12 year old Jack Russell down due to cancer. I’m devastated. So much so that I had to have a pacemaker. All this after a divorce of 18 years. I’ve since remarried to a great woman. Life has put me through the ringer. I have a little drag truck ( a ranger my late uncle gave me before he passed) I built that I have never raced due to life occurrences. I left water in it and the engine froze…. If you want some content come help me with a dream to just run down the track in it. I know it’s a long shot but it would be soooo nice to catch a break in life. 😢

Ive never seen a intercooler block that much air to overheat a mustang...might need to have the coolant bled and an airdam or a intercooler without a bunch of flattended fins
You may want to keep the Malibu as factory stock as possible but the car is fast enough you are tempting fate not putting some type of cage in the car.
I am tired of u always working on the same cars when r u going to get the 55 running and red Nove if u can fit in the tang u can fit in the Nove I had alot of people at my house say u will never get it running its going to rot now I told them that isn't true and u will get it going I hope I'm right bud

Curious question, would getting a little crooked on a radial be easier to control than a slick? Thinking the slicks softer side wall would allow for more sway making it harder to correct or over correct. But the radial easier to initially break loose so?

I had a fox body mustang in high school and the headers would heat soak the starter after it got to temp it would need to cool off before I could start it back up

Yes radials are more controlled, it’s easier to gather up on a radial than slick but it just depends how loose you get
