Absolutely! The way is stays pointed straight when being nailed and doesn't just spin the wheels. The car is built so professionally. And its so unassuming, that's what really gets me. You'd never picture that Buick to be that capable.

Still see the guy every once in a while and he still has the car but rarely drives it. Looks like it just left the showroom floor today. Only upside for me is I saw him in it months ago and I was driving around with my son in his 2020 C8 and my son paid him back for killing me back in the late 80s. Still an amazing car. FYI, I drive a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, it’s a Korean super car if you are not familiar with it. 🤣

This G Body is the nastiest Regal I’ve ever seen and there’s no shade of green deep enough to properly convey my envy!!! Absolutely beautiful car!
That's most unassuming Buick I've ever seen in my life. The sound is amazing, but you can tell the suspension is really dialed in. It hooks up and doesn't just spin the tires, and it points straight when being absolutely hammered! Can't beat that supercharger whine too!
This car really puts that amount of power into perspective. I can't imagine having a car that could break the tires loose so easily at nearly any speed with only 1/2 throttle. Especially in a track car it just seems ludicrous. Beautiful build, everything is really tasteful, super clean.
Because the Grand National was a V6 turbo that was designed to beat the V8 monsters of the day, like the Corvette Z06, Ferrari Testarossa, etc. So they see LS swapping one as "sacrilege" I love the V6 Grand Nationals, but I love hotrods more! I don't think there's ever been a car made that is "too sacred" to chop up and make it better, faster, more modern, etc.
Especially from inside the cabin, this is the most beautiful sounding vehicle I've ever heard. I was smiling just watching someone else ride in it. You can't be sad or angry driving this. It's how my scat pack made me feel. Obviously not as fast, but fast enough and sounded amazing.

I do find it amusing he's pulling this much power out of an Ls then admits he can't put it all to the ground, which means an original V6 would be just fine at 600 hp, the max for the deep skirt 109 block. it also calls the sequential transmission into choice, if the car can't handle full throttle shifts, why not use an automatic and let the suspension get a softer hit.

The CHASSIS on the car is so tight and quite. No clicks and bangs. All you hear is engine. And so glad it's a manual transmission. And the fab. Work is top notch. I don't know what it cost but worth every penny .

Forget the Grand Nationals, too expensive, and too much stuff to go wrong. Build a Regal, Cutlass, T-type, whatever, how you want it, and you get the shape, performance, and reliability that you put in to it. That's my plan anyway!

I like how he tried to stay ahead of any haters by distinguishing it as a T-Type and not a GN when in fact anyone who would really get upset would be those who know the GN is just an appearance package and in a few examples a T-Type can be faster and more sought after/valuable. To me as long as you aren't cutting up a low mileage, survivor car go balls out.
this car brings back alot of memories. My mom use to have a oldsmobile cutty supreme when i was a kid. I dont know what the difference is between a cutlass supreme and a grand national, but they look the same. but man this is an incredible build and so bad ass. I would love to be able to bild something like this and pull up on my moms with it 🤣
Yeah, love the engine setback and the huge rubber at all four corners. Basically a Winston Cup car from the 80s with a monster engine and a killer sequential gearbox.

Love the Grand National look of the T-Type, but the HP, Sequential GB, on-the-fly Tunes, and the beast-loads of performance parts make this a true legendary ride. 208 MPH in Mexico must have been wild!!!
Shawn, I've seen footage of you riding in some insane cars, and I don't think I've ever seen your face look like it did in this one. Looked like a mix of fear, confusion and disbelief. This thing is the epitome of BEAST!!! Love the old Regal bodystyle and having all of that "Ohmygodholyshitwhatthefuck" packed in there is just the icing on the cake. Had a great time watching this one. (Edit) I watched the video again and I think you said it perfectly when you called the car "otherworldly".
What a G body , I can't help but wonder how much torque that engine puts to the rear wheels. That motor sounds like it never runs out of power. WOW is all I can say 😎👏👏 Bravo on the build. It would take a cup car to keep up with it if it goes over 200 mph. That is serious hp and a very balanced race car. Fast through the 1/4 and goes over 200 mph on top. The one thing that means the most is that it was built NOT BOUGHT. Smiles per gallon describes it best. 👍👍 Great job. Perfect combo of speed and handling. The brakes are damn sure not too much. When you get over 200 mph you definitely learn that you can never have too much braking.
That is absolutely one of the BADDEST iterations of the Buick T type I've ever seen. It gave me simultaneous eye and eargasms. Phenomenal engineering !

Amazing the power you can get out of those old Buick 3.8 Turbo cars. Those blocks were absolutely bulletproof.
That's not a 3.8 block in this car, he stated it was an LS....but the 3.8 stock block is good to about 600HP to the wheels- insane for a v6!
I do find it amusing he's pulling this much power out of an Ls then admits he can't put it all to the ground, which means an original V6 would be just fine at 600 hp, the max for the deep skirt 109 block. it also calls the sequential transmission into choice, if the car can't handle full throttle shifts, why not use an automatic and let the suspension get a softer hit.

The CHASSIS on the car is so tight and quite. No clicks and bangs. All you hear is engine. And so glad it's a manual transmission. And the fab. Work is top notch. I don't know what it cost but worth every penny .
This car literally gave me chills man, my dream car is the '87 GNX but this whip looks so mean, clean and tough man i'm literally in love. Mad respect to this man and his build!!!! I got money to throw in for some tires just to ride in this and burn a set 😍🤤🤩

Forget the Grand Nationals, too expensive, and too much stuff to go wrong. Build a Regal, Cutlass, T-type, whatever, how you want it, and you get the shape, performance, and reliability that you put in to it. That's my plan anyway!
Could even do a turbo V6 if you want (which I do want) but no need sticking to the original specs.

I like how he tried to stay ahead of any haters by distinguishing it as a T-Type and not a GN when in fact anyone who would really get upset would be those who know the GN is just an appearance package and in a few examples a T-Type can be faster and more sought after/valuable. To me as long as you aren't cutting up a low mileage, survivor car go balls out.

Shawn, I've seen footage of you riding in some insane cars, and I don't think I've ever seen your face look like it did in this one. Looked like a mix of fear, confusion and disbelief. This thing is the epitome of BEAST!!! Love the old Regal bodystyle and having all of that "Ohmygodholyshitwhatthefuck" packed in there is just the icing on the cake. Had a great time watching this one.

What a G body , I can't help but wonder how much torque that engine puts to the rear wheels. That motor sounds like it never runs out of power. WOW is all I can say 😎👏👏 Bravo on the build. It would take a cup car to keep up with it if it goes over 200 mph. That is serious hp and a very balanced race car. Fast through the 1/4 and goes over 200 mph on top. The one thing that means the most is that it was built NOT BOUGHT. Smiles per gallon describes it best. 👍👍 Great job. Perfect combo of speed and handling. The brakes are damn sure not too much. When you get over 200 mph you definitely learn that you can never have too much braking.
That is absolutely one of the BADDEST iterations of the Buick T type I've ever seen. It gave me simultaneous eye and eargasms. Phenomenal engineering !
