I have never been coached by or met Coach Lawson, but I am so moved by this speech and Kara's speech on working hard vs. competing that it's embarassing. This was before vaccines were widely available, for starters. People knew a lot less about how the virus does or doesn't spread easily back in December, 2020.
If you noticed the year this was taped, you wouldn't ask the question! No vaccines available and thousands of people were dying.... young and healthy people dying. How do we all forget so quickly.
