I have been watching this on and off for a few weeks and it was doing my head in that there is no tracklist so here it is: Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons - The Night Tony Clarke - Landslide Tina Britt - The Real Thing Martha Reeves and the Vandellas - I Cant Dance to that Music Your Playing Wanye Gibson - Under my Thumb Ramsey Lewis - Wade in the Water Pretty Purdie - Testifying Little Richard - Get Down With It The Isley Brothers - Tell Me Its Just A Rumor Gladys Knight and the Pips - I Feel A Song (in My Heart) BJ Thomas - Hooked on a feeling Just Brothers - Sliced Tomatoes Barry White - You See The Trouble With Me Patrice Rushen - Haven’t You Heard Booker T and The MG’s - Green Onions Dave Dee & Dozy & Beaky & Mick and Tech - Hold Tight! Psychotic Reaction - Count Five The Vel-Vets - I Got To Find Somebody The Grass Roots - Midnight Confessions The Furys - I’m Satisfied With You The Who - Substitute Sandy Nelson - Let There Be Drums Ella Fitzgerald - These Boots are made for Walking
I always love to see younger generations exposed to this music, the greatest music there is on this planet, actually. Some of these young people learning to know and love this music could be my grand children, I suppose. And I could not be happier than seeing them admire this music such as I and lots of my friends do. I still cannot understand why there are so, so many of my generation trying to keep this to themselves so badly, and just do not understand that this is for all there is to come to love and admire. They do not at all have to go out and find out themselves by diggin' the leftovers. They have the right to learn by what you/us have established over those decades of diggin', dancin', lovin', etc., etc., and taking it on from where we left off. Don not let there be a gap here, let us just enjoy and love this together. Just everyone should have the opportunity to love the greatest music there is head on, to the fullest, from the start.
no way found this randomly trying to find some northern soul for mum when she come over today and found my favourite dnb dj doing a set of the same thing, Two worlds collide, awesome:)

In those recordings you can hear all the instruments clearly, the winds sound spectacular and the voices bare the soul. It's also great how those simple ones sound! They are very well cared for, pure sound, real and of the time. Very good set :)

Boy i havent heard some nice D&B from High Contrast in awhile. I wonder what he's up to these days. Watches this video: 👀 WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS? I LOVE IT!!
Great set with a few genuine surprises - and it has to said some tracks that would get an empty floor & derision as they aren’t within a million miles of northern soul - or even soul ( Dave Dee! Really?) if he cut those tracks then the set would bear scrutiny anywhere really. Liked the pretty Purdie track - now that is a great tune - not heard before.
We teamed up with Jägermeister to take a select few DJs to the top of The Orbit, one of London's most unique buildings. Better known as one of drum 'n' bass' finest producers, for his Alter Ego set he laid down a stunning selection of northern soul www.jagermeister.co.uk / arcelormittalorbit.com
I love northern soul music and not a bad selection of songs, however I feel this is more of a mod set, which is a mixture of northern soul and 60's pop/rock music. Dave Dee, Sandy Nelson and The Who are not northern soul, but it's a nice set of songs nonetheless. This should have been called 'mod set' instead of 'northern soul'
why is the american croud crap like not dancing at all im a soul boy in uk and i know all these records on the dance floor this is mix mag and the dj is playing a top set yet i see no back drops spins or the american audience dancing like wtf man

More of a 'Mod' set than a true Northern set. But a decent set of tunes, though Barry White is disco and an odd one to throw in here.
almost funk that is, wish it was a bit slower
Fukin Wierdo combo, love it,dislike it,sleep on it,miles off.happy fukin wedding birthday ,all it needs is "i ow silver lining"
