Love your videos. They always make me laugh. If I would work on a sampler with one color thread it would probably be either a dark charcoal, gray or a chocolate brown.Jennifer, was fun hearing about your recent vacation and the quilt show. Beautiful pictures. 🙂

I just finished one in blue, and two Halloween in black. I really enjoyed stitching monochromatic pieces. Not sure if I have done before (maybe) but I have more in the planning/kitting in blue, black and red individually! Alphabets! Maybe I will send pics to you two!?!

I only have one monochromatic WIP and it is a Christmas piece in red, so I guess that’s my color! I would also like to do a black one at some point.

Great flosstube! I was in hospital for a week. Have diabetes. Might very possibly lose my big toe. Hate to. We will see. Big toe bad to lose since affects my balance. Hope dog purchase goes well. Hope College goes well. Am home. Challenging. Husband taught to put antibiotics in two ports. ❤️❤️❤️🧵🧵

my color is blue. A piece of advice, before you take your daughter to college. The night before, take her in her room and say good-bye to her and get all of the crying over with. Then when you take her to college give her one last hug and leave. It works. Take care

While my favorite color is DMC 550 (bright purple), I don't think I would do a monochromatic piece with it. I think I would use a navy blue like 939...depending on the pattern and fabric choice.

Another fun adventure with you -- thanks so much! My DH and I drove down the Oregon coast to San Francisco (from Calgary, Alberta) years ago; I've also visited La Conner (and the quilt museum) and Oak Harbor when I was taking contemporary hand stitch lessons from Gail Harker back in the day. I've never seen the quilt show, so it was fun to see your photos. To answer your question about monochromatic samplers, I've done a few and will send photos to your e-mail. Have a great few weeks!

I use Missus Sedas silk 'Copper' for Christmas Windows by Galliana Crossstitch.
Another of my monochrome wips I stitch with a dark blue Sulky.
When I stitch monochrome, I usually let the fabric colour decide which colour to use. 😊

Great video!! You ladies get so many FFO’s! You inspire me!! Glad your vacation was terrific! I have done one monochromatic piece using a variegated DMC red/purple. I have 2 blue monochromatic patterns kitted up. I want to do a purple and I want to do a red sampler. Happy stitching.

I have a pattern that's done in all blue so I may stick with that. But it's the inside of a house so I want to add spots of color, like yellow flames for a candle for instance. The other pattern is on blue fabric and done all in white, called Dashing Through the Snow. That one I'm doing in just white...B5200. I know someone who said it would be hot in Texas the other day at 102. Yeah, hold my 🧋 iced tea dude...call me when it's 117. 😂🌵We've been breaking records in Phoenix for a couple of weeks now. But thank you for your kind thoughts. It is summer in the desert, after all.

Great video- sounds like your trip was fun!! I love that part of the country to visit. Solid color stitching… so far it’s been black, white, red & black raspberry (a blue/black). I love stitching a monochromatic piece. I still need to find a white thread that lays better than DMC.

I didn’t get a chance to watch last video but if I may, I’d like to suggest another couple of shops.
I am Canadian & live in Alberta but we often go down to Las Vegas & I try to get to Stitcher’s Paradise (needlework) and The Christmas Goose
    (quilting/wool appliqué)
So much eye candy in both.
If I had to pick a color to stitch with it, any shade of green would do.
Thanks for posting, I enjoy watching. Heather Miller

I went to sisters quilt show a long long time ago before my Grandmother passed she was just the most fantastic hand quilter and loved that part of the country! She actually visited every state several times after she retired and I think she hit most quilt shops! Well 2 or 3 per state anyway! 😂 blessings for a great week or two ladies! That is now blue and white, so I may have to do a piece using blue thread. I enjoy the one color designs. I will send you pics through email of my 2 finishes. Really enjoy your videos. I recently stitched and finished a lovely red sampler from the Ooh La La Blackbird Designs book and it turned out so pretty. So I would definitely stitch more red samplers when I'm readiy to do another monochromatic piece however I also want to do a design all in blue and one all in black as well. Thank you for another great video.

35th Avenue Sew and Vac in Phoenix is an awesome quilt shop. Didn’t go on vacation but if someone is here on vacation…place to go. Three locations in and around but Phoenix is the largest. Probably a good thing the boys got there when they did or you may not have had room for you to ride back in the car! Just finished a one color sampler…red. Next one will be blue.

I just finished a tiny Christmas Tree stitch that was forest green. I've had that pattern for probably forty years. When we moved back to the Philly area my boss from way back when called me and invited us over around Christmas time. His wife showed me the pinecone wreath I made for them that many years ago along with that Christmas Tree stitch. I realized I had one started for us but I never made it. It's actually a stencil in the pattern to paint on the trees and then the rest is in cross stitch. Short answer to the question - forest green.
