Wow, you all made some progress on different pieces. Thanks for sharing them wirh us.
I am so happy to hear that the princess is doing well being away at college. I appreciate that update. ❤
I've been to lots of scrapbook retreats and more recently quite a few cross stitch retreats. We have a small group that's fortunate enough to do one weekend mini retreat wach month. So much fun and stitching.
I was mesmerized by the quilt of the day and then to see you do a bit on your long arm was great. Completely new to me. I loved it.
    Thank you, ladies.

Great video as always. Love seeing all the projects - finished or in progress. Beautiful work. That quilt Jennifer is stunning - I also like purple! Yes, I have been to one retreat and that was Stitch Con last year. I took my sister with me, who hasn’t cross-stitched in years, and she managed to fall UP the stairs and break her shoulder on the first day. She’s still suffering now so if I get to go to any other retreats I think I will be solo! I would love to go to a quilting one. Thanks again ladies.

Love all of your finishes! I have a scrapbooking group that gets together one Saturday a month and we have been doing that for 23 years now. We have gone on many scrapbooking retreats in the past but no longer do that since we get together once a month. As far as cross stitching retreats I have gone on only one and it was Stitch Maine 2023. It was so much fun and I met so many great cross stitchers that I will be going to that one again.

When I was a member of the Emerald Valley Quilters I attended their bienneal retreat a couple of times. In fact I won my iron there in a raffle! I have never been to a cross stitch retreat. I am saving my 5 dollar bills for PNWSS next year. (Pacific Northwest Stitch Summit in Portland put on by Acorns and Threads) They also do a stitch day in January called the Acorn Gathering. I attended that virtually in 2022 and hope to go in person in 24. (This reminds me that that project is still a WiP. Why don't I get that out and finish it!) Thanks for your video Love all the FFO's

So very much eye candy this video. Great finishes and finishing ideas. I went to scrapbooking retreats for a couple of years that were wonderful. Unfortunately, they are no longer hosting them. Next was a fiber arts festival. I attended a couple of years and was scheduled until the pandemic put a stop to that. It was the Dallas-Fort Worth Fiber Festival in Irving, Texas. This spring I went to a cross stitch retreat in Lansing, Michigan. And coming up I have Stitching in the Wild in Montgomery Alabama next September. But the best retreat is the one with my sister and daughter, just the three of us at an AirB&B this past summer. It's really the people that make the difference. Hope you all have a great time in Shipshewana.

I went on a few quilting retreats in the early 2000s.and on one cross stitch retreat -- with the Victoria Sampler out of Victoria, B.C. in October 2008. Since then I've moved to a rural hamlet in central Alberta, Canada, and consider myself as 'living on retreat'. That said, I've also been on one artists' residency (I'm an art quilter) and on several spiritual retreats when I lived a couple hours' drive southwest, outside of Calgary, AB There is a Franciscan retreat centre there and yes, when attending there I've taken something to do with my hands.

Congratulations on all your FFO’s! Everything looked so good!! I used to go on quilt retreats back in the day. My favorite was sponsored by Eudora Quilting Bits & Pieces out of Eudora, KS. We would go to Cedar Crest Lodge in Pleasanton, KS. The owner was a wonderful cook! I believe we would have 16ish attend and we just sewed 2 1/2 days. Heavenly!

I haven't been to a retreat yet. I do belong to the Mountain Star Quilting Guild in Rogue River Oregon and they have a retreat that they hold twice a year. One in September and the other in April. I think the biggest reason why haven't is having to haul my machine and all the notions that I would need to it. Just going to classes is daunting at my age. But you never I might put my big girl pants up and go for it.. thank you for sharing your progress, haul, and life with us, it's enjoyable to watch both of you interact with each other...❤

I hope to go to the next Stitch Basel... If it will be arranged.

Love seeing all your beautiful projects and the items you purchased when you surprised Michelle. What a super surprise for her birthday! Yes, I have been to the Myrtle Beach Quilt Party in SC several times and really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I am a cross stitch retreat aholic. My LNS, Panda's Cross Stitch and Beading has had 25 retreats over the years and I have been to every one of them since the owner is one of my best friends. I have been to the National EGA Seminar when it was in Hilton Head, SC, Dyeing2Stitch in Virginia Beach, VA, Hobby House in Pittsford, NY, Quilter's Station in Lees Summit, MO, The Attic's Summer School in Mesa, AZ, Stitch Con in Cincinnati, OH, and Sassy Jack's Stitchery retreats in Weaverville, NC. I am attending Annabella's Retreat this month with Stitching with the Housewives, and next month I will be at Farm Girl Dry Goods retreat in Amana, OH. I just love attending retreats and meeting other cross stitchers and making new friends. Hopefully one day, I will get to meet both of you! That would make my day! Dottie

I just came back from my very first retreat ever! It was a quilting retreat at Angeles Crest near Palmdale, California but up 6000 feet in the mountains. It was originally scheduled for April but 8 feet of snow caused some major damage and so we were rescheduled for September. They fed us 3 meals a day and the food was good. The scenery was spectacular. Had a lovely time and will definitely go again.

Hi Jen and Carol, it's always such a pleasure to watch your videos, and this particular episode was so fantastic, however I feel that way about each one. Your finishes are so beautiful - one of my favorites in this episode was your Primrose Cottage pillow finish, it's so beautiful and now you've enabled me to buy that pattern for sure. Your shopping trip and visit with your friend, Jen, sounds like a perfect weekend to me and I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and got some great haul. I haven't been to any kind of crafting retreat before but did attend some daytime things many years ago when my kids were little (now they're all grown and have kids of their own). Thank you for another wonderful video.

I have been to many retreats: scrapbooking/paper crafting; general crafting; and cross stitching. This year I attended Stitch-Con, Stitching in the Wild (GaRon Stitchery), and Pacific Northwest Stitch Summit. Next year, I have 5 retreats: Stitch West in April; the following weekend is Maine Library Stitchers Retreat; Stitch Florida in July (yes, I’m well aware I need my head examined!! 😂); and Stitching in the Wild in Alabama with GaRon Stitchery. The same weekend is Pacific Northwest Stitch Summit, and I’ll be doing that retreat via Zoom so I can do retreats at once!! Thank goodness I have about 6 months to prep!!

I have been to several wonderful retreats…the crème de la crème was going to Plymouth, Massachusetts…many years back now. My good stitchy friend and went to a Just CrossStitch Seminar to learn 17 century embroidery with a master of all master teachers, Joanne Harvey. She had done the reproduction of the a Loara Standish, America's oldest known signed sampler. Loara was the daughter of Miles Standish of Mayflower fame. What a delightful experience! We wondered what we had gotten ourselves into when we found out it was reversible stitches! But today I walk by that large sampler in my dining room everyday and to this day marvel that I was the one who stitched it!!! Other retreats we attended were attached to our Embroiderer's Guild…the EGA guilds in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, and maybe Virginia joined together once each year for a fantastic gathering of stitchers where we could take classes from national teachers…wow! Is all I can say to those experiences, too. A local quilt guild annually held what they called Sew Super Saturday…even though I didn’t belong to their guild, my friend issued an invitation that allowed me to retreat for the day with them…very fun , too! My advice = go if you get a chance! I’m so glad that I went when we did, as these days I am caregiver for my husband and retreats have to be put on the back burner!

For your Easter piece -- what about adding ribbon on the sides that would tie behind the box so that it would be easy to remove and have just the box.

Ohhh finish # 28 I have that older pattern too, it is a Meme's Quilts - - a Tid Bit, called "Sleigh Bells Ring"!! At least you stitched yours, mine is semi kitted up (fabric & some floss). So Pretty, Kay's frames are always so cute!! Never been to a Retreat, just a few zoom meetings so far. There is a monthly gathering about 45 + minute drive from me, so someday I hope to attend. Cool quilting, freehand !!!

Just thought I would say to your subscriber who asked what does Drawn Thread mean.....yes The Drawn Thread is a company but there is also a type of embroidery called Drawn thread which is where you cut out threads and stitch various stitches. Similar to hardangar

I really liked your questions for WIPGO, would you please tell us the questions you have for October thru December? I’m making myself a list for next year and yours was very motivating!! Thanks. I have never been on a retreat but would love to. I have met at our library for stitching with a couple of ladies but that fizzled out.

Why was the candy corn piece stitched with pearl cotton instead of regular floss? Also, what fabric did you use?

I live in 1050 sq. ft. so would (clearly) not be able to house a long-arm quilting machine here. SO my question is, assuming you have the space, how much quilting would you have to do to pay for the cost of a long-arm quilting machine that takes up the size of a small garage? NOTE: I live in central AB, Canada 8+/- hours' drive NORTH of the Alberta/Montana border; garages to store working vehicles here -- heated or not) are valued here.

Late watching this but...on my screen, with almost every photo you put up, I got "INVALID" instead (yes, in all caps!) I *did* see Jennifer ironing on the floor, but that's it. Sorry. Don't know what that was about.

Yup, had issues with the video - I put the photos in our newest video so hope you will see them there!

Why is the word "INVALID" showing up on your video where you upload a picture of your work or other items? Is this you tube censoring?

No, it was an issue with the pictures 😕
