I’m originally from Corning, NY. Grew up going to both Seneca and Keuka lakes during the summer. Miss them both 😊 also I love ice cream on a cake cone, and I prefer custard over ice cream ❤
Afternoon ladies, Good to see you both, beautiful projects as always. Enjoy those cuddles. I had been stitching Christmas in July a Christmas Sampler which has been put away till December. I am now stitching oan Hope & Strength by Glendon Place will be oan my floor stand next to my chair for when I want to stitch. Happiness is stitching. Together we count.

Liz, my mom, who is 81, and I went to see the new Indiana Jones movie. She said it was too much action for her. I loved it!! The movie makers definitely use Artificial Intelligence in it. Worth seeing!! Thanks 😊!!

Cones, preferably soft serve including custard. We had ice cream once a week at home, Sundays with Ed Sullivan and Uncle Walt (Disney for the young ones). My mother liked cones and so we often had them at home including the pastel colored ones. Good memories.

I so enjoy sitting and stitching with you ladies, I am working on my first Quilt, which is an English Paper Piecing quilt, all hand stitched. It may take me awhile!! That is so cool about your home being in the magazine. Enjoy the Summer while it is still here, Fall will be here before we know it! Ice cream in a dish for me but I will eat a cone occasionally.

Hi Ladies, Always enjoy a nice stitch and chat with you two. We went to Niagara in 2009 and stayed in one of the hotels on the Canadian side. One of the best vacations in weather and just relaxing. There were rainbows in the falls every afternoon. My favorite was Little Niagara just north of the falls. A very quaint little town and lovely people. The Finger Lakes and 1000 Islands are two of my want to do trips. Stitch on and have a good few weeks. Hugs, Teresa

I custom stitch for other quilters and love to quilt. It is my therapy.
However, recently my husband passed and I found I have trouble sleeping and one night turned on TH-cam...your post came up and after watching a few shows I found myself down cross stitch rabbit hole😅 you two make others feel invited into your homes and life's...thank you

It is like being right there in Deb's living room with you both... and I love the clocks chiming in the background also. I have been subscribing to Country Sampler magazine from the very beginning. I have wondered if I would ever know one of the featured homes.... WELL you can imagine my excitement when I recognized Deb's dining room table Matt and Logan made...the double doors looking out... your kitchen... the FIREPLACE... your gorgeous master bedroom...the couch you sit on to do floss friends... Deb and McKenna YAY... on and on.... I will be showing all my family and friends "my friend's house IS IN the magazine"!!!

Deb, When I saw the snapshot of your video, not even knowing what magazine it was,..my husband and I had to go out and I was determined to find the magazine. We went to CVS, and I knew it was a toss up between one magazine or Country Sampler. Guess which one I picked first? LOL Love your home and just so happy to say... "I knew her when!" LOL Love your stitching too, and it's always a joy to see both of you together. Liz did a wonderful job on the last video too. I just can't get enough of the both of you. I have always wanted to do a Kim D quilt. I LOVE reproduction fabric. I just need someone like you to live closer to me so you can get me over the hump on appliqué. FYI. I think I have that book. I donated a ton of appliqué because the reverse thing I just couldn’t do. My brain won’t do that. Or paper piecing. I bought all the things and I can’t get my head around it!
Well that was a lovely chat, thanks! I am currently shopping for a new sewing machine since mine got lost in my last move 😢, but I have project bags and other things to quilt stacking up, so I need to replace it soon! My ice cream vote is: depends on the situation! If it's hot and I'm on the move then a cone is easier. But if it's more leisurely and I'm sitting and relaxing, then I choose a bowl! 😁 Also, talking about the Grand Canyon burros made me smile, 'Brighty of the Grand Canyon' by Marguerite Henry was one of my favorite books as a child! I probably read it 100 times. The back to school conversation was also nostalgic, my best friend and I lived a couple blocks from the junior college, so we would ride our bikes to the college bookstore in August to buy 'grown up' school supplies. We thought we were so sophisticated when our first day back rolled around! 😎😁
Hello Ladies! Deb I was at the fingerlakes this past Friday also. My husband and I and our 2 furbabies drove up for the day to get our favorite wines. Went to Glenora and also Miles winery's my two favorite. We live in Dickson City Pa so it's around a 2 1/2 drive for us. Since we had just purchased a chevy traverse the Saturday before, it was a nice ride and a beautiful day. Summer is coming too quickly to an end but I do love the fall....my favorite season. I also quilt as well as cross stitch and I'm already gathering supplies to try my hand at punch needle.

What About Bob, one of my favorites too, was actually filmed at Smith Mountain Lake Virginia. It was autumn when the movie was being filmed and the leaves were changing at Lake Wnnipesaukee, so did not look like summertime. While at Smith Mountain Lake, I discovered you on TH-cam and have been watching for several years now. Thanks so much for inspiring me to get back into cross stitch. 😊

Lake Winnipesaukee is in New Hampshire and Lake Erie is near Buffalo. 😀 I’m from the Fingerlakes area and grew up spending summers on Seneca Lake and a lot of time on Keuka lake. I’m near Seattle now and sadly we don’t have soft serve ice cream stands here like we had in NY and I really miss that! I love to quilt. I will be back in NY visiting my kids and grandkids and going to a retreat at Hobby House Needleworks in October and I can’t wait!

My favorite is a waffle cone with my ice cream 😋. I’m enjoying watching what you both are stitching. I have a couple WIPs for cross stitch & 3 knitting WIPs. I get to anxious if I have too many projects going at the same time.

I used to live near Watkins Glen. Did you go to Letchworth State Park?
If you go to Niagara Falls, go to the Canadian side..you can pick what time to get on/ride the maid of the mist boat. Can't do that on the American side.

I am definitely team cone, but I don't prefer to use cones at home, so I'll use a dish! 💝
OK... This is a serious conversation when we're talking ice cream. I do not like the boring plain cones, however; waffle cones are a game changer. The waffle cones that are lined with chocolate are fantastic! That would be my first choice. Now, if we are talking DQ, then it must always be a dip cone with their soft serve ice cream. Everything else would be in a cup, which I'm assuming is the same as what you call a dish. Here in Texas, if you served ice cream in a dish it would just slide off the side. 😂

I love to Quilt. I prefer ice cream in a cone uptown. When I have ice cream at home it’s always in a bowl.
I do not like icees or snow cones at all.

It’s so hot and humid here in Alabama, I don’t go out much at all. Probably should stay in and stitch one of my WIPs or perhaps learn to QUILT.

The other day I had to tell my husband to STOP giving away my quilts. All you had to say is how you love my quilts and he tell you to grab a quilt on their way out that we have to many. I’m a cup of ice cream person the only one in my house. It was great visiting with you both!

41:35 I had to grab the current issue of the sampler to read the article about your lovely home. My favorite pastime is to quilt, but handwork is a close second. This summer I to have actually gone to the movie theater a couple time to see movies. It finally feels like things are finally getting back to normal.
