Love your floss tube. Always makes me laugh. I enjoy seeing the fun things you are working on and was fun to see all the fun things you got at market. One thing that I enjoy stitching is teddy bears. I have many stuffed teddy bears in a collection. I also enjoy doing alphabets.
Loved seeing all the items you purchased for yourselves and the ones you are going to stitch for the shop! I love to stitch snowmen and flags (actually anything patriotic)! I guess those are my favorite motifs! I like some Santa’s too as long as they aren’t too big and involved! Someday I’m going to get to your retreat! It sounds like so much fun! Have fun on your trips!
Great video. I do not like to stitch alphabets or words, but I do like to stitch anything Christmas or Fall. But I love stitching houses. Safe travels.
Carol, thanks for the info on the bead container. I had not seen that before. I found a bead sticky mat in Michaels that will work great for my mill hill Christmas projects. Love your videos. You two are so cute together.
So wonderful to watch another video from you ladies. Carol, the quilt is beautiful, I love it! :) Market sounds like a blast, but yes, I can only imagine how exhausting it is. I'm sure the vendors need a week of naps after all is said and done! I love what you are stitching for your shop and all the great haul you came home with, lots of beautiful things. I stitch a lot of Christmas...so if Santa is a motif??? If he isn't considered a motif, then I guess words, houses, flowers. Thanks for your video, always so much to see!
Jen, I really loved hearing how you have carved out and prioritized so much time for stitching! I agree with so much of what you said… From training your kids to be self-sufficient to having a house cleaner, because that is important to you. When I was younger, I raised my three sons to be able to do their own laundry, to cook, And even to mend their clothes. One of them loved sewing and he even made his own elasticized shorts for the summer. Today, even though my husband and I live totally on our Social Security, we have a housekeeper to clean our house. I kept in immaculate house while my kids were growing up and until I got into my 70s, but I feel that I deserve the time now, and I’m lucky that my husband agrees. We budget money for a house cleaner every month. In addition, my husband has offered to do all of the dishes and I do the cooking. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I loved hearing about that from you today.
Once again thank you for sharing your stitchy goodness. I'm in the quilting phase of my crafting. But enjoy all the new patterns coming out. It's hard to pick out just one motif, I enjoy all, but do tend to do more flowers and buildings. I had a great laugh hearing about the food failures. When I was little my mother had to go back east for her father's funeral and my sister was in charge of the cooking. She was into her experimentation phase at that time and made a tapioca pudding with green kool-aid for desert that was so hideous that the dogs wouldn't even eat it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
I found you guys through Heidi The potty mouth stitcher and I am an instant fan! Loved hearing about your market experience and also seeing all your wips. Wonderful flosstube!
The quilt is so gorgeous!!! Lucky you that went to Market!!! All the things you bought are so beautiful. I like to stitch all the things, but samplers. Enjoy your trip with your friends and with your daughter and also your retreat!!!
Love the quilt behind you. I have made a disappearing 9 patch, but I like the look of the 4 patch a lot too! You are 2 busy bees and will be more so as the next weeks come. Great wips and haul! Love the title of this video in fact😂. I have to say that I don’t think I have a favorite thing to stitch. I pick anything as long as I fall in love with it…and by my stash, that’s a lot! Have a good time at retreat and Jen and Jenna, have fun in Chicago!
I love the quilt! No, Santa in the canoe is not in Book 47. I just finished these, and when I saw Jenna stitched the Santa in the canoe I went on a deep dive looking for the pattern. No luck. Love watching you ladies.
Unfortunately, I no longer have a brick and mortar. Calico Cat was a most wonderful shop here in the Tampa Bay area and they had 3 locations. One of which was dangerously close (less than 5 miles.) It was a beautiful gift shop for collectibles but also had a cross stitch/needlework space and the customer service was fabulous. D. Morgan used to come and sign prints and she is a lovely artist❤ I really miss going there... On P.S. #47, modes of Santa's transportation but no canoe, (not 54) which I love and want to stitch every single one. I love words as well!
Really enjoyed your video this week and will be hard to wait so long to see you again! Fun to see haul, and loved the quilt Carol! My favorite motif is a house. Blessings!
I know market is work but how fortunate you are to see all those new patterns and models. You both made great choices. I put a couple more charts on my wish list. Favorite motifs? I like a wide variety but probably have more bird patterns than anything. Be careful on all your travels and I’ll see you in a month.
When I was growing up, I had similar stories about my dad's cooking. On the rare occasions, my mom was in the hospital, Dad "cooked" by getting takeout pizza or Chinese. Of course, we kids loved it. Years later, when my mom had breast cancer and we all had families of our own, my dad tried hard to make meals for her. He did start out with Stouffer's lasagna but got better with meal prep. He took care of her. I stitch a lot of houses and shops. However, iI am fond of animals and birds also.
What a great time you had at market! I've made a disappearing 4--patch and a disappearing 9-patch; they're fun to do. I confess though, while I admire Dresdens, I don't want to make one! LOL! As far as motifs -- I'm fond of the geometric -- which includes Quaker motifs -- especially Modern Folk Embroidery and Carolyn Manning Designs, but not exclusively. Not fond of houses -- though I've done them here and there. And like you, Carol, I enjoy alphabets and numerals.
So many visual treats! Love the disappearing 4 patch quilt, and the spring tablerunner! Such a great idea to randomly send a quilt to an old friend! I love all the purchases!
I don’t know that I’ve ever paid attention to what kind of motif I stitch the most. Looking at my stash of patterns, I CLEARLY purchase a lot of patterns with sheep (great reminders of how lost/befuddled I can get without Jesus), but I don’t know that I’ve stitched many! Most of my finishes recently have been Stitching with the Housewives, so I would say small cutesy?
It was fun hearing about the market experience. Exciting and exhausting at the same time! I do not have a favorite motif. Have a great couple of stitching weeks!
Love the quilt of the day and hearing about market and seeing your market haul and…..I always love the question of the day graphs. My favorite motif to stitch is houses. Thanks for another fun video. ❤
Hi Carol and Jennifer, I just like stitching, so no favorites. They are gearing up here in Dayton for the eclipse as well. Great stitching as usual ladies. 👏👏👏 Happy Stitching. ❤❤❤
I love to stitch floral designs. That’s what grabs my eye. Your quilt of the day is beautiful! Thanks for another wonderful visit! Safe travels to Jennifer.
Thank you for sharing your market experience I really enjoyed seeing your picks thank you! I also have to stitch the Counting Puddles Snowman he’s adorable! I think I like to stitch birds the most right now, all birds any birds. I recently finished The Red Bird Sampler it was fairly small and really fun to stitch. Take care!
I definitely like your quilt of the day as im making one! Its 9 blocks in civil war taupes and blues. I will wait for the question of what is my favorite quilt block to make. 😊🩷 Have a safe trip Jennifer.
Funny enough, as I’m watching you I’m stitching on Quaker’s Hometown by Werkstatt fur historiche Stickmuster, and it features letters, houses and Quakers. I love letters, but the win goes to the Quakers.
Sorry, Jen, I’m not part of the FFO Challenge. I don’t yet have enough FO’s to make into FFO’s, lol!! I just enjoy watching your videos and seeing what’s happening in your lives. I just love stitching. And oddly enough I don’t mind stitching all white or all black, either!! So happy Market was a much better experience for you both this year! Have fun in Chicago with your Princess, and see you ladies when you get back!!
Glad you had a successful time at Market and you were able to catch up with friends and fellow flosstubers. Thanks for showing all the patterns and fabrics, too. Who was the designer of Carol's snowman? Sorry, I couldn't hear who you said when you showed it. I love stitching houses and barns - or at least collecting patterns with houses and barns. 😂
Isn't Counting Puddles amazing ? I have the lemonade picnic pattern (Sweet Summertime) and I will start it soon. It's the perfect summer stitch! Birds - I'm a sucker for any bird.
Just redone my craft room, more quilt friendly. I plan on quilting each person in my immediate family. Then I will move on to my siblings. So I have decided not to buy anything cross stitch or knitting related. I have a lot of that. I have a lot of material too but that is what I am concentrating on for now.
I'd go with the darker blue in 28-ct for that pattern going into the tree frame. I like to stitch a bit of lettering, see it form the word, enjoy florals, and even though I live in the desert southwest (AZ) I like to stitch snowmen (originally from the Northeast). Maybe next video we can answer what motifs we Don't like to stitch, lol.
I love alphabets and words to stitch. Although I love snowmen and winter scenes I dislike stitching them the most - white and I just don’t get along unfortunately yet I probably have the most patterns in my library with snowmen or winter themes which is why they remain not checked out to work on.
Absolutely loved the quilt of the day. I do not quilt but love them anyway. Also, your floss tube is always so enjoyable to watch. Never miss one as it brings me joy!
So fun to see you ladies! Wishing you safe travels, Jen, and have a great retreat. As I am sitting here stitching a basket while I'm watching you, I decided that baskets are my favorite things to stitch. Usually they are symmetrical, and have a pattern. (The one I'm stitching is on "Spring Chickens" by Stacy Nash and holds eggs.}.
Great video, ladies, and I very much enjoyed hearing your market recap and seeing all your market goodies. My favorite motifs to stitch are flowers, vines, and leaves. I hope you enjoy your trip away, Jen. Carol, I love your quilt.
Another fun episode, and some Market goodies. I stitch a bit of everything but am always drawn to water/shells/fishies/mermaids - the ocean and everything in it. Take care, happy travels, and happy stitching, Arleen
Fun updates ladies! Always a treat. Carol, would you have pattern/cutting instructions for the quilt you displayed? I was gifted a lovely spring layer cake today that I wonder if I could use for this?
Thanks for sharing your Market experiences. It sounds like fun and was hopefully a successful event for the shops and the designers, dyers and other materials providers. I love stitching all sorts of motifs and styles, no real favorites. Happy stitching!
I don’t know if someone already answered; the PS canoe Santa was a free chart that came out as a promo for the chart. It is not in the chart. And as far as I know is not currently in print. The packs of small, one time free promo, charts is something PS did later.
Great seeing your purchases. Love your quilt. If possible what is the pattern and how large is the quilt? Thank you for taking the time to do flosstube. I so enjoy all of them.
It is a split four patch - we will look for a link to share on our next video. And the one behind us is a large lap quilt. If you use 2 charm packs, you wind up with a nice size lap or wall quilt.
I‘m all about snowmen and bunnies.
I love houses and snowflakes.
I like stitching birds and houses! Love your floss tube! 🕊️🦜🏠
Love your floss tube. Always makes me laugh. I enjoy seeing the fun things you are working on and was fun to see all the fun things you got at market. One thing that I enjoy stitching is teddy bears. I have many stuffed teddy bears in a collection. I also enjoy doing alphabets.
I love to stitch cats but other animals as well
I like houses but anything.
I tend to stitch a lot of flowers and animals.
You family sounds so hilarious!!
Thanks for sharing ❤ I enjoy seeing the motif come to life - don’t have just one favorite ❤
Wonderful video! Love seeing what you are working on. I love to stitch animals. Happy stitching and safe travels!
Letters! I want to coffee/tea dye some fabric and then plan to start ABC Hornbook by Primitive Needle.
Great video. I do not like to stitch alphabets or words, but I do like to stitch anything Christmas or
Fall. But I love stitching houses. Safe travels.
Loved your account of your market adventure. I think animals may be my favorite motif to stitch.
My favorite motif to stitch is houses. Glad you enjoyed Market! If love to experience it one day, but it sounds exhausting!
My motif is trees.
Carol, thanks for the info on the bead container. I had not seen that before. I found a bead sticky mat in Michaels that will work great for my mill hill Christmas projects. Love your videos. You two are so cute together.

Thanks so much Kathryn - I always say it is all about your priorities!
Lovely stitching as always. I enjoy stitching cats and Christmas motifs
I like flowers quakers and borders the best
New to your channel. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
Love your new haul. Thanks for sharing. Always a nice video!
Love u girls. I always enjoy your videos. ❤. I love stitching words and houses.

Oh my gosh, that sounds awful!
I found you guys through Heidi The potty mouth stitcher and I am an instant fan! Loved hearing about your market experience and also seeing all your wips. Wonderful flosstube!
Thank you so much!
I love stitching houses and barns I don’t know why. Love all the stitching and the market update. Have a great trip and retreat. See ya soon.
I like to stitch hearts, but I'm not great at doing it, rather collecting patterns. Have a great time in Chicago!
Christmas gift quilt == Happy Birthday spin?
My boys say their dad is the only person that can mess up Hamburger Helper so bad the dog want even eat it. 😅😅
😂😂😂
Love the disappearing 4patch. I think I like stitching letters and words. Fun video. Have great travels.

Carol’s quilt of the day is fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing your market experience!💚 My favorite motifs are houses and hearts (in that order)😊
I love the quilt! No, Santa in the canoe is not in Book 47. I just finished these, and when I saw Jenna stitched the Santa in the canoe I went on a deep dive looking for the pattern. No luck. Love watching you ladies.
The Santa in canoe is on Pinterest, front n back of card.

I love to stitch houses and little quotes and quilting squares. Thank you for sharing.
Really enjoyed your video this week and will be hard to wait so long to see you again! Fun to see haul, and loved the quilt Carol!
My favorite motif is a house.
Blessings!
Birds are my favorite stitching. Beautiful quilt behind you. Always enjoy your videos.
I like to stitch alphabets/words as they are quick to stitch. Really pretty stitching this week and enjoyed seeing your haul.
My favorite motif would have to be insects or wagons, and maybe insects riding wagons.
I know market is work but how fortunate you are to see all those new patterns and models. You both made great choices. I put a couple more charts on my wish list. Favorite motifs? I like a wide variety but probably have more bird patterns than anything. Be careful on all your travels and I’ll see you in a month.
Thanks again for sharing! This year the favorite motif to stitch for me is a house! Love brick houses!
When I was growing up, I had similar stories about my dad's cooking. On the rare occasions, my mom was in the hospital, Dad "cooked" by getting takeout pizza or Chinese. Of course, we kids loved it. Just found you because of shout outs from other flosstubers. I really enjoyed the episode.
Thanks so much for watching!

I really do not have a favorite Motif, but if I had to choose one it would be a house.
I love stitching animals, bugs, trees etc. I'm not really into houses unless they're spooky ones lol😂 Great video and love the quilt.
That was a fun video. I love to stitch houses, flowers, barns, animals
It was fun hearing about the market experience. Exciting and exhausting at the same time! I do not have a favorite motif. Have a great couple of stitching weeks!
Great market haul. I like stitching houses, flowers and letters. I can’t just choose one. 😀

Love your flosstubes! My favorite thing to stitch is anything small. I’m such a slow stitcher and those are the only things I seem to finish( maybe)😊
I love to stitch animals (mostly birds) and I dislike stitching houses (I know it a lot of people's favorite)
Thank you for sharing your market experience I really enjoyed seeing your picks thank you! I also have to stitch the Counting Puddles Snowman he’s adorable! You were both very restrained at Market! And you got things from shops I didn't even have a chance to get into! 😂
Always a treat!!! Such stitching fun! Thank you ❤
Glad you had a successful time at Market and you were able to catch up with friends and fellow flosstubers. Thanks for showing all the patterns and fabrics, too. Who was the designer of Carol's snowman? Sorry, I couldn't hear who you said when you showed it.

Hi Janey - the snowman is from Counting Puddles
Y favorite motifs to stitch are quaker motifs. Great show. Thames for sharing.
Isn't Counting Puddles amazing ? I have the lemonade picnic pattern (Sweet Summertime) and I will start it soon. It's the perfect summer stitch! Birds - I'm a sucker for any bird.
I really love snowmen and horses. Thank you
Dad sounds like a hoot! It would be fun to see him some time.

I love to stitch buildings and houses with Nancy Spruance being my favorite designer.
Great seeing you today! Love all the Market haul. I think houses are my favorite to stitch-the bigger the better. 🫎
Thank you for showing market releases, flowers are my favorite, love that you have quilts also. Quilting while watching.
I love alphabets and words to stitch. Although I love snowmen and winter scenes I dislike stitching them the most - white and I just don’t get along unfortunately yet I probably have the most patterns in my library with snowmen or winter themes which is why they remain not checked out to work on.
Your Counting Puddles snowman can also be found in the Jan 2024 Just Cross Stitch magazine. FYI
Absolutely loved the quilt of the day. I do not quilt but love them anyway. Also, your floss tube is always so enjoyable to watch. Never miss one as it brings me joy!
Thank you so much Linda!

Thank you for all your chatty, joyful videos. I love to stitch people, especially their clothes.
My favorite theme to stitch is nature. I like animals and landscapes.

We will look for a link to share this week and a layer cake or charm pack are great for split four patches.
Thanks for sharing your Market experiences. It sounds like fun and was hopefully a successful event for the shops and the designers, dyers and other materials providers. I love stitching all sorts of motifs and styles, no real favorites. Happy stitching!

Great flosstube! Your Lizzie Kate projects are looking good!👍🧵

I hope all your events and travels coming up are wonderful.
