My wife loved the first sketch we’re everything goes wrong the moment he leaves. So true, everything runs fine when I’m home, I’m barely out the door and the washing machine dies. My wife called the repairman who said it’s not worth fixing, she went out and already priced three replacement units, checked them out and made the decision on the one she wanted. While on a layover, she let me know about it and I agreed on the expenditure. The new washer was delivered the next day, hooked up and tested. By the time I was back from my pairing, everything was running smoothly once more. Pilots’ wives are a special breed and that’s why we love them.
Haha, so my hubby will text to ask what's happening while he's on a trip... Um, I should say, "EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING!" But no, I say "nothing much, same ole" lol. I think it's a thing that we do because we don't want to freak them out with general life while they're flying 200 plus people over the ocean maybe? Dunno.
Husband: (On the phone) "Having best BBQ in LA" , "...best burger in NY...", "...best crab in MD!" Wife: "I heard there's a great new Japanese restaurant in town." Husband: (Now home) "I'm pretty beat. Can we stay in? What's for dinner?" Husband: "Man, my hotel view sucks on this overnight. I'm so bummed!" Wife: [Hasn't seen a "view" since honeymoon] Wife: "I'm about to lose it between keeping up with the house, appointments, and raising this little one. I wish I could just have an hour to myself!" Husband: "This ready reserve is killing me! I'm so bored!"
William Moulder If my words can give one wife or girlfriend a night out, then it's all been worth it! 😝 On the plus side, my hubby recently stayed home a few nights with the baby while I went on a girl's trip. Achievement level unlocked!
You NAILED THIS! 😂 I’m living the dream too! Thanks for creating this. Wow…that is funny! My retired pilot husband (who’s going back to part time work soon -sent it to me).
I'm a pilot's daughter and when people would ask me as a kid where my dad is I would be like, "I don't know. He told me his schedule, but I forgot." My favorite one was when the school nurse once asked me what his work phone number is and I said. "He does not have one. He's an airline pilot." I think some people expected me to be more torn up about my dad being gone on trips than I actually was. For me, it was just my dad's job, and I knew he would come back.
This was painful (reliving my own life) and hilarious (reliving my own life). Thanks for making this! I'm totally sharing this. And as for the cleaning part, I actually told my pilot husband to stop surprising me.
This is great! I've heard so much about the challenges of the pilot lifestyle from pilots, but very little from the people they love/who love them. Thanks for making and sharing this hilarious video!
"Why are you still working?" So true! I thank God my wife has a great job with real health benefits! Little do her coworkers believe she is really supporting the whole family! And the requests for free trips!!! LOL! Obvoiusly they've never been stranded half way to a destination!
Perfect! LOL how about when you get a call in the middle of a gathering and have to leave cuz hubby is coming home early, or if your husband does not fly for the majors and they ask you what airline, and you say a regional and they have no idea; or when hubby does not make it back when you expected he would because he misses his flight home; or when you are dying to go out and hubby comes home and all he wants to do is stay in!!
TheMarcheparche we have missed a wedding due to change of plans in his schedule 😜. Imagine yourself in a party dress all ready to go out and the not going anywhere.
Brilliant video! All true. My wife even had a flat tire late one night after dropping me off at the airport! I felt so bad, but she handled like a pro.
Haha my wife is the pilot and everything in this is true for a man too (especially the cleaning). And I guess I'm still the man in the bedroom scene, but yeah it's spot on.🤣🤣
This is so perfect! I can tell you’re the real thing! PLEASE do a part 2 and probably 3! For ideas, you could do a surprise Military deployment (usually happens during the planned family vacation). What about upgrade or type training? Anyway, please do another one! Thanks!
Nice job, super funny and so true. I've been in the industry for 25 years and the entire Lego pilot, Lego wife thing is so dead on. Can't wait for part 2.
Yes! I have gone through many tornadoes, children getting stitches within an hour after dad leaving, in the past two years emergency health/surgery without him, cars only break down when he's gone, and the list goes on and on! And no one has a clue what I'm talking about when they ask about his job!
Infant daughter puking for the past two days... after listening to my husband complain that he was stuck in MIA for the second day in a row, I decided to leave the last puke pile for him to clean. After all, all he did was deadhead, and sleep in a hotel. (Storms...) #livinthedream #pilotswife
You should add when you have the family all loaded up in the car headed to meet another couple and their kids for dinner on a Friday night and scheduling calls for a green slip (extra pay) trip and your husband jerks the car into reverse so fast and heads off to the airport leaving you and the kids to go meet the other couple alone. True story :)
for number 2 you gotta get the quintessential get together with your husband and all his friends (who naturally are all pilots) immediately leaving the conversation at "work work work work" while the wives sit and pretend to know each other better than they do.
how could anyone dislike this video. It's so true and hilarious. it's crazy that we all get the same stupid questions. #livinthedream #travelinallthetime
Lol! I too share your pain! People can be so rude. Hate it when he says, good news honey, I got an earlier flight. "Oh great, now I have to run around and clean!"
5 sec after I am out the door the her car won't start, the AC broke and the washer machine leaked all over the place....Oh and it's not a vacation we are on. When we get back home all we wanna do is sleep....maybe that's why I am not married yet.....haaaaa haaaaaa. Love the vid.
I'm an FA, and people ask my mom where I am all of the time. They look at her like she's nuts when she says she doesn't know... y'all got it worse though with people saying awful things like that to you! They were some terrible friends! I was cussing out the screen when they were talking.
Too funny! Had to laugh because my son just kicked a hole in the wall of our shower the night before I left for a 6-day rotation out of NYC. Guilty of the last episode as well.... Hey, at least us pilots are consistent! :-)
I fly and my wife's co workers don't think I exist, because I'm gone so much!!! And yes, had a main sewage pipe back up in our home as soon as I left for a 5 day trip. She took care of it like a true pilots wife 😁👍
I agree. She is smart in that she knows what neighbor can jumpstart a car, which ones are around during the day etc encase she needs help 👍🏼. But yes, she is very independent which is what a pilot needs.
Whaaa Whaaa Whaaa, whiney! my brother's a pilot and altho' some of this is likely true .... the 2-3 weeks off back to back (about 2-3 months a year! AND that's NOT VACATION TIME!), the great pay that puts you in kinda a "rich" category ;) and yes, the amazing travels (with & w/o their children) and discounts galore! and my brother would NEVER say some of those things to his wife, and helped her around the house when he was home, and they could afford the wonderful opportunity of her being a stay at home mom (which, yes, she relished for the most part!). I suppose they have to put up w/ some insensitive comments over the years, but they know they've got an awesome thing going w/ being a commercial pilot, and they're truly grateful for it all (altho' they do like to whine too on occasion LOL!!! it's mostly in gest :) And after the days away, when he returned it was like they were on a honeymoon again! C'mon pilot-wives FOCUS ON THE INCREDIBLE POSITIVES HERE!!!!! :)

Awesome. "Did you even do anything today" Love it! Sending this to my wife right now.
Haha, thanks!

30 + years of all if this and the video was so spot on!!
You NAILED THIS! 😂
I’m living the dream too! Thanks for creating this. Wow…that is funny! My retired pilot husband (who’s going back to part time work soon -sent it to me).
Loved every bit of it, especially since I retired five years ago and I can laugh again. Thanks for the fine work.
Hey, congrats on retiring! Thanks for watching, and for your sweet comment. :)

People think I or my kids should be sad when he’s gone-we’re just aiper happy when he’s home!!
Hilarious and so true!!!!!! My (pilot) husband sent it to me! Love it!
Thank you!
A perspective that deserves more recognition! Well done, thanks for making this.
This was painful (reliving my own life) and hilarious (reliving my own life). Thanks for making this! I'm totally sharing this. And as for the cleaning part, I actually told my pilot husband to stop surprising me.
Hilarious!!! Takes a special kind of woman to put up with us!
You are awesome! And thanks!

Yes, all of the above! Haha!

This is so true. I laughed all the way along. Thanks for the great video !
Thanks for watching, and for commenting!
Brilliant video! All true. My wife even had a flat tire late one night after dropping me off at the airport! I felt so bad, but she handled like a pro.
She is a badass. And thank you!
Haha. It's because pilots actually marry A type females. Lucky you. haha.
at least you felt bad. Mine would't give a rats.
Haha my wife is the pilot and everything in this is true for a man too (especially the cleaning). And I guess I'm still the man in the bedroom scene, but yeah it's spot on.🤣🤣
So true. Would never have survived without my fellow pilot wife friends. They understand the challenges without explanation.
This is so perfect! I can tell you’re the real thing! PLEASE do a part 2 and probably 3! For ideas, you could do a surprise Military deployment (usually happens during the planned family vacation). What about upgrade or type training? Anyway, please do another one! Thanks!
This is great and so accurate.
The best thing I’ve seen all year!
I'm rolling at the thought of CS screwing up and getting me home early 🤣
Nice job, super funny and so true. I've been in the industry for 25 years and the entire Lego pilot, Lego wife thing is so dead on. Can't wait for part 2.

FANTASTIC!
for number 2 you gotta get the quintessential get together with your husband and all his friends (who naturally are all pilots) immediately leaving the conversation at "work work work work" while the wives sit and pretend to know each other better than they do.

Lol! I too share your pain! People can be so rude. Hate it when he says, good news honey, I got an earlier flight. "Oh great, now I have to run around and clean!"

Omg that is me with the cleaning! I honestly thought I was the only one who did that! lol
I'm glad I'm not the only one, either. :)
Me too! And then he gets home and all is calm and well...like it's been that way all along haha. Why do we do that? It is a little odd haha.
I'm so tired after my one leg today!!!
I'm an FA, and people ask my mom where I am all of the time. They look at her like she's nuts when she says she doesn't know... y'all got it worse though with people saying awful things like that to you! They were some terrible friends! I was cussing out the screen when they were talking.
Great job! Spot on!
Outstanding.
Thank you!
Omg. I don’t have children but this exact video is my life!!! Woah!!!
Too funny! Had to laugh because my son just kicked a hole in the wall of our shower the night before I left for a 6-day rotation out of NYC. Guilty of the last episode as well.... Hey, at least us pilots are consistent! :-)

Baby puke and that row of beer bottles on the counter 🤣
What an awesome video, and true in every regard! Did you animate all the characters yourself?
lol i am a student pilot in middle school and people ask me seriously for free flights. not jokingly, but seriously. that is scary.
Nailed it!
Thank you!
I fly and my wife's co workers don't think I exist, because I'm gone so much!!! And yes, had a main sewage pipe back up in our home as soon as I left for a 5 day trip. She took care of it like a true pilots wife 😁👍
Actually, like a true super woman. She'd be the same, even if she wasn't a pilot's wife ;) That's why ya'll picked us apparently.
I agree. She is smart in that she knows what neighbor can jumpstart a car, which ones are around during the day etc encase she needs help 👍🏼. But yes, she is very independent which is what a pilot needs.
LOLing at the BBq scene
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Yaaasssss
Hahahahahahahahaha! I get the same questions!
My fave part is when they ask where he is...haha. He's not home taking out the trash, so....
Truth!
HAHAHA Great vid!
Whaaa Whaaa Whaaa, whiney! my brother's a pilot and altho' some of this is likely true .... the 2-3 weeks off back to back (about 2-3 months a year! Are you living in my house??
I'm so tired after flying one leg today
Omg so true 😂
As a pilot - NOTAM = the SOP is don't give a kid a last name as a first name.
So should I be concerned? Lol my husband wants to make a career change and become a pilot. I support him but this makes it seem not so great lol
Pretty funny stuff. I guess being a pilot's wife makes a woman want to swear a lot.
100% ! 🤣😭
My fathers a pilot, lmao.
One word. Damn..
This is so me ****
Why marry when working in a target rich environment?
Moar, please.
