This is so perfect! I can tell you’re the real thing! PLEASE do a part 2 and probably 3! For ideas, you could do a surprise Military deployment (usually happens during the planned family vacation). What about upgrade or type training? Anyway, please do another one! Thanks!
This was painful (reliving my own life) and hilarious (reliving my own life). Thanks for making this! I'm totally sharing this. And as for the cleaning part, I actually told my pilot husband to stop surprising me.
You NAILED THIS! 😂 I’m living the dream too! Thanks for creating this. Wow…that is funny! My retired pilot husband (who’s going back to part time work soon -sent it to me).
My wife loved the first sketch we’re everything goes wrong the moment he leaves. So true, everything runs fine when I’m home, I’m barely out the door and the washing machine dies. My wife called the repairman who said it’s not worth fixing, she went out and already priced three replacement units, checked them out and made the decision on the one she wanted. While on a layover, she let me know about it and I agreed on the expenditure. The new washer was delivered the next day, hooked up and tested. By the time I was back from my pairing, everything was running smoothly once more. Pilots’ wives are a special breed and that’s why we love them.
Haha my wife is the pilot and everything in this is true for a man too (especially the cleaning). And I guess I'm still the man in the bedroom scene, but yeah it's spot on.🤣🤣
Whaaa Whaaa Whaaa, whiney! my brother's a pilot and altho' some of this is likely true .... the 2-3 weeks off back to back (about 2-3 months a year! AND that's NOT VACATION TIME!), the great pay that puts you in kinda a "rich" category ;) and yes, the amazing travels (with & w/o their children) and discounts galore! and my brother would NEVER say some of those things to his wife, and helped her around the house when he was home, and they could afford the wonderful opportunity of her being a stay at home mom (which, yes, she relished for the most part!). I suppose they have to put up w/ some insensitive comments over the years, but they know they've got an awesome thing going w/ being a commercial pilot, and they're truly grateful for it all (altho' they do like to whine too on occasion LOL!!! it's mostly in gest :) And after the days away, when he returned it was like they were on a honeymoon again! C'mon pilot-wives FOCUS ON THE INCREDIBLE POSITIVES HERE!!!!! :)
I'm a pilot's daughter and when people would ask me as a kid where my dad is I would be like, "I don't know. He told me his schedule, but I forgot." My favorite one was when the school nurse once asked me what his work phone number is and I said. "He does not have one. He's an airline pilot." I think some people expected me to be more torn up about my dad being gone on trips than I actually was. For me, it was just my dad's job, and I knew he would come back.
I'm an FA, and people ask my mom where I am all of the time. They look at her like she's nuts when she says she doesn't know... y'all got it worse though with people saying awful things like that to you! They were some terrible friends! I was cussing out the screen when they were talking.
for number 2 you gotta get the quintessential get together with your husband and all his friends (who naturally are all pilots) immediately leaving the conversation at "work work work work" while the wives sit and pretend to know each other better than they do.
I fly and my wife's co workers don't think I exist, because I'm gone so much!!! And yes, had a main sewage pipe back up in our home as soon as I left for a 5 day trip. She took care of it like a true pilots wife 😁👍
I agree. She is smart in that she knows what neighbor can jumpstart a car, which ones are around during the day etc encase she needs help 👍🏼. But yes, she is very independent which is what a pilot needs.
Husband: (On the phone) "Having best BBQ in LA" , "...best burger in NY...", "...best crab in MD!" Wife: "I heard there's a great new Japanese restaurant in town." Husband: (Now home) "I'm pretty beat. Can we stay in? What's for dinner?" Husband: "Man, my hotel view sucks on this overnight. I'm so bummed!" Wife: [Hasn't seen a "view" since honeymoon] Wife: "I'm about to lose it between keeping up with the house, appointments, and raising this little one. I wish I could just have an hour to myself!" Husband: "This ready reserve is killing me! I'm so bored!"
William Moulder If my words can give one wife or girlfriend a night out, then it's all been worth it! 😝 On the plus side, my hubby recently stayed home a few nights with the baby while I went on a girl's trip. Achievement level unlocked!
This is great! I've heard so much about the challenges of the pilot lifestyle from pilots, but very little from the people they love/who love them. Thanks for making and sharing this hilarious video!
This is terrible. Not funny at all. Please do not make another video.
100% ! 🤣😭
Pretty funny stuff. I guess being a pilot's wife makes a woman want to swear a lot.
Why marry when working in a target rich environment?

This is great and so accurate.
I am a pilot, this is exactly what my wife experiencing when I am gone work. You guys are awesome! Appreciate everything you’ve done!!

Haha my wife is the pilot and everything in this is true for a man too (especially the cleaning). And I guess I'm still the man in the bedroom scene, but yeah it's spot on.🤣🤣
As a pilot - NOTAM = the SOP is don't give a kid a last name as a first name.
This is so me ****

HAHAHA Great vid!
Well done! And great job being a flight wife! Hang in there ;)
What an awesome video, and true in every regard! Did you animate all the characters yourself?
So should I be concerned? Lol my husband wants to make a career change and become a pilot. I support him but this makes it seem not so great lol
My fathers a pilot, lmao.

People think I or my kids should be sad when he’s gone-we’re just aiper happy when he’s home!!
@ the baby vomiting..... 😂😂🤣😂🤣... OMG!!!
Great job! Spot on!
Lol perfect I don't know how many times I heard that I am living the dream or we must be reach hahah and that's away from reality
LOLing at the BBq scene
lol i am a student pilot in middle school and people ask me seriously for free flights. not jokingly, but seriously. that is scary.
Well, my wife doesn't hang out with moronic women who speak like they are in junior high, so that particular issue doesn't come up.
This is totally my life! Thank you

So true. Would never have survived without my fellow pilot wife friends. They understand the challenges without explanation.
for number 2 you gotta get the quintessential get together with your husband and all his friends (who naturally are all pilots) immediately leaving the conversation at "work work work work" while the wives sit and pretend to know each other better than they do.
Yes, there are those types of pilots wives. Never was friends with any of them.
I fly and my wife's co workers don't think I exist, because I'm gone so much!!! And yes, had a main sewage pipe back up in our home as soon as I left for a 5 day trip. She took care of it like a true pilots wife 😁👍
Actually, like a true super woman. She'd be the same, even if she wasn't a pilot's wife ;) That's why ya'll picked us apparently.
I agree. She is smart in that she knows what neighbor can jumpstart a car, which ones are around during the day etc encase she needs help 👍🏼. But yes, she is very independent which is what a pilot needs.
Hahahahahahahahaha! I get the same questions!
My fave part is when they ask where he is...haha. He's not home taking out the trash, so....

Paridot 1454 fuck man... I gotta keep this in mind. I should probably take my girlfriend out...

30 + years of all if this and the video was so spot on!!
Moar, please.
FANTASTIC!
Truth!
I fell over laughing after seeing this one ...
This is great! I've heard so much about the challenges of the pilot lifestyle from pilots, but very little from the people they love/who love them. Thanks for making and sharing this hilarious video!
A perspective that deserves more recognition! Well done, thanks for making this.
