Thanks for reviewing something you’ve had for years! most people might forget to review I really appreciate these reviews that show the test of time, the ultimate test! Thanks again.
Love your enthusiasm for the product bro I actually just bought it tested just once jury's out for me but now I'm going full bore heading into Alaska's back country for almost 2 weeks I will know for sure if this is the pack for my upcoming years very soon thanks again for the video 👍
Cycled through a few before landing on 65L Co-Op brand . Aside from fitting comfortably, the access to the bottom via zipper is a key feature for me too.
Thanks for watching! Ya know, it does have a little squeak. And like a thousand miles into a hike, you really start to enjoy it. Like rope bending on an old wooden ship.
Hi, just wondering how is the peakdesign capture doing with the atmos? I found it so difficult to install and it seems risking to damage the strap. appreciate if you can share some insight/experience. Thanks
Thanks for the question! I know what you mean, it’s a tight squeeze to get it on there, but it’s worked great, super secure, and I’ve taken it off several times for various reasons and the strap has held up just fine.
I use a Gregory DEVA 70, which weighs 4.5 as well. I prefer the heavier pack for long life and durabilit. There are times i think about something lighter but that passes very quickly. I would prefer getting reid of then CPAP which I got down to 4.5 as well, so i start off with 9 lbs until I get ris if the CPAP😊
I have that same version of the 65AG (in orange) - and agree that the side pockets are a PIA. I've found that pulling straight up on the zipper leash while zipping helps a bit. Besides the issues that you mentioned that you disliked... I have to add to that list the internal top compression strap. It's tough to really cinch things down with that type of design. Good review. שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם
good question. It can definitely be used, but the straps aren't great for a day pack. A sling would work well, or as just a separate bag for whatever you needed.
Wanna try the 55L, think that may be my next pack! I don’t carry bear spray, though I’ve thought about it. Every time I’ve seen a bear, then end up running right away… not to say that’ll always be the case Do you carry?
@@PackAndSoul I have on some less traveled trails but I need to pack less. My 55 can carry all I need and then some but it’s tight. So I probably need to lose some stuff.

@@clark9064not really. Other than the zippers get a little looser over time to make it a bit easier. That and I guess you get more flexible in the torso to be able to make that weird turn lol.
Awesome vid man! I’m wondering tho whether 65L or 50L is the better option. I need to pack in some camera gears, but at times I just feel like traveling lighter. My question is, if I get the 65L will it have an awkward shape when I don’t fill it to its max? Cheers!
Thanks for watching! It's a good question, my hunch is with camera gear, the 65 will be better. It won't have a weird shape if you don't fill it, it holds shape pretty well. But honestly, if you can fit it in the 50, then hell yeah go for that. I'm curious to see what you end up with, cause I'd like to get a 50 sometime soon too, and see if it'll work for me. Maybe try the 50 out for a week or two and exchange it if it doesn't fit? Keep in touch!
@@PackAndSoul I too am more inclined to the 50 as well, I think it’ll suit me better since I’m 170cm / 65kg. But unfortunately we don’t have the “try-out and exchange” policy here in my country, so I’ll have to decide early on haha. Why do you prefer the 50?
@@reyhanavivi594 where are you from? I haven’t tried long distance hiking with a 50L so I honestly can’t recommend it. I just think that if you can fit your gear in there, the smaller/lighter the pack, the better. BUT I still love my 65, with my camera gear, I just don’t think a 50 would cut it at the moment. Maybe down the line if I get more expensive / smaller gear it would.
Putting the PACK in Pack & Soul 🙂

One of the best vids yet keep it up
Thanks!

osprey makes quality stuff, their packs are no exception. well done.
They sure do!
Awesome video! Do you notice any squeak from this pack? Squeaking seems to be a common complaint with the Atmos 65 AG.

Been waiting for this one. Cool
I’m with you, Nick. I use the 50l and the AG system is unbelievable. In fact, I picked up an Osprey 40AG last year to use for 2-3 day trips. So good.
How do you like those smaller packs?? Think I’d like to get one
8:07 I saw the dog in the background and for a second thought this was going to turn into a live leak video 😂
Haha! He spooks me sometimes too
Great t-shirt brother! יישר כוח גבר :)
תודה רבה!

That’s cause you’re a Deva ;-)
How’s the Gregory lumbar support? I remember it being pretty sturdy
@@PackAndSoul Absolutely a Deva👍 It has great lumbar support and I am thankful for it.

Thanks for the hack, I’ll try pulling straight up!
havent tried this pack yet, will give it a shot
Great video! Super informative.
Thanks my man!
Can the detachable brain be used as a sort of day pack or sling?
good question. It can definitely be used, but the straps aren't great for a day pack. A sling would work well, or as just a separate bag for whatever you needed.
I was given an Atmos 65. How can I tell if it's a medium or large. I'm 6'2" and feel as if it's a touch short.
On mine it’s on a black tag on the back support just above the left hip belt pocket.
I have the 55L Osprey and love it. Do you carry bear spray?

Can confirm...Osprey did not improve the hip belt pocket zipper. Still need two hands. Perhaps they should have made it Velcro instead.
C’mon, they gotta do better than that! Thanks for the update
@@PackAndSoul I agree!! It’s annoying but I guess it’s a first world problem.
@@PackAndSoul Did you ever find a solution to this, other than using both hands?

@@PackAndSoul haha! Yeah, it will help my yoga
I'll take sturdy and durable any day of the week. some of these lightweight packs will give you a year or two max. and they're $$$$$
Agreed!
great vid
Thanks a lot!

heavier the better in my opinion haha
